The next day.
After yesterday's talk with his Master, and a night's rest, Eiji felt his fatigue from the last month gone and he was now full energy.
Being in your own home really does bring comfort!
He was now going towards one of the Warrior Department's Camp.
As the main military of the kingdom, the Warrior Department has the most number of members in all of the other departments.
And in the Capital City alone consisted of nearly a third of those number.
Because of that, the Warrior Department was divided into four Camps.
Each Camp was strategically placed in between each of the four Main gates, from North, East, South And West Gates.
So that in times when one of the gates gets intruded, two Camps could back it up hurriedly.
Right now, Eiji was walking towards the Northwest Camp.
This was the camp Renji had been registered.
The Camps were huge, like a stadium of sorts.
It was created to house thousands so it stands out even though it was located at the edges of the city walls.
Eiji went inside the open doors of the castle like front of the stadium.
Inside, there were many tables as well as a reception area.
Because of the high number of members of the department, other than the mission issued by the kingdom itself, teams that are idle can take on missions that are being commissioned by others.
In other words, the Warrior Department could also be said to be a Guild or a Mercenary organization, but the difference is that, it is governed by the kingdom itself.
Eiji walked up to a reception with a relatively small number of people lining up.
These people are either merchants, nobles or rich people wanting to get a team to protect them in their journey or guard a specific area that they own or even eliminate bandits that they want to target specifically.
In a while, it was finally Eiji's turn.
In front of him was a gentle looking woman in her early 20's.
With a beautiful blonde hair she smiled gracefully at Eiji.
"How can I help you sir?!"
Though shy, Eiji knew that he was here for Renji's sake, and dilly dallying would result to no good.
"Uhh... I .. I want to talk to a Captain or maybe a Vice Captain..."
Eiji's voice lowered as he finished his sentence.
He saw that the looks on the others that were giving him were very bad.
The people lining up behind him and the other line beside him, looked at him in disdain.
"Tsk! Another guy thinking he's special, wanting to speak to a Captain and even a Vice Captain?! Are you a Count?!"
"Youth these days are so brazen!"
"Yeah.. they just don't follow the rules!!"
Eiji heard the complains about him and couldn't help but scrathis head and lower it.
Even the receptionists looked at him a little colder.
To be fair, there were a lot of troublesome nobles coming in the camp to request a high ranking officer to directly accept their ridiculous tasks.
And a Captain's task was far more important especially when they are training the recruits, so a noble giving them tasks like guarding them as they want to go out to have a picnic in the mountains or try bathing in the river made them really unpopular in the eyes of the department itself.
"Sir! Please tell me your concern! I'll tell a higher ranking officer regarding your request if it is relevant!"
Although the receptionist still has a smile in her face, it was now without any emotions.
Eiji knew that he was being misunderstood, but he didn't want something such as a noble bullying commoners and a swordsman from the department to be known and be a topic of gossip.
Even though such things were unfortunately very common, it was one thing to have such a situation happening to one of your friends, and even knowing that they might become the topic of said gossips.
Besides, Eiji doesn't want to escalate the situation, as long as Renji and the Shibai family could live normally once again, everything would be fine.
"Uhhm... I'm reporting about a situation...of a team in the department...."
"Oh!!! Wait here dor a moment sir!!"
Hearing Eiji's words, the receptionist expression change directly and went to the second floor.
Even the other receptionist, when they heard it was about a situation of a team of the department, their smiles went back as they looked at Eiji.
There were many cases of such reports. Most of them were very grim.
Mainly the death of a teammate, or something like being caught by enemies.
Though judging by Eiji's demeanor, it wasn't any something like that.
For them, that brings a slight relief.
Even if they don't know everyone in the department, as receptionists, they could be said to be the one that accepts and the ones responsible in giving out the missions to a team. And if they died in that mission, although it's not their fault, for them, they would still feel guilty about such things.
