~Flashback~
Inside a small mansion was a young boy holding the hand of his sickly father. The boy had a sad look in his eyes when he saw his father like this. Soon the father began to speak to his son about something important to him.
"Dino....i'm counting on you to take care of Cavallone."
"Stop talking like that. Plus I already told you...I won't carry on the Family."
"Dino....."
Dino quickly ran out of the room. While doing so, he passed by his father's
right-hand man, Romario. While Dino ran downstairs, he missed a step and
fell to the bottom. While this happened, Romario went inside the room Dino
just left.
"Boss...."
"It's okay. Dino will become a mighty boss, i'm sure of it. Especially with
the man he now has as a tutor. I'm sure Dino will become a man that he,
himself, will be proud of."
~Meanwhile~
As Dino was outside of his home, he was lying on the ground as he looked
towards the sky. He didn't want to become the boss of a mafia family. As he
was thinking to himself, he saw a single person standing over him.
"Who are you?"
"I'm the Home Tutor Hitman, Reborn."
"I'll make you into a great boss, Dino."
~Flashback ends~
"Man today sure was pretty hectic."
"Hahaha. That guild of yours sure is fun."
"I'm not a member though, Yamamoto."
Homura and Yamamoto were heading back home for the day. Homura
manage to finish his job early, while Yamamoto's dad didn't need help with
the shop since the lunch hour rush already passed.
"Hey, Homura. Are those friends of yours?"
"What are talking about Yama-....WHAT IS THIS?!"

Standing outside of Homura's home was a large group of men wearing suits.
As soon as they saw Homura, they all stood to the side and bowed their
heads.
"Welcome back, Homura Sawada. Please proceed forward."
"What the hell is going on?!"
"Don't worry about it Homura, at least you can enter your home now.
Anyways, I think i'm going to be heading home, i've got practice with my
dad today. See ya later!!!"
After saying that, Yamamoto began walking home. While this happened,
Homura quickly dashed inside of the house and went straight to his room.
"Reborn! This is all your doing, isn't it?!"
As Homura opened the door to his room, he saw two more men wearing
suits inside of his room. Soon Reborn turned to his student as he was drinking some coffee.
"You kept us waiting for a long time, Homura."
"What are you talking about?"
"Yo, Vongola boss. I've travelled from afar to pay you a visit. I'm...."
A single person sat in Homura's room next to Reborn. He was a tall, young
man with shaggy blonde hair and brown eyes. His left arm and side is
covered in various tattoos. He wore a green winter jacket with a black fur
collar over a black tank top.
".....am the 10th Cavallone Boss, Dino."

"Cavallone? The mafia?!"
Soon Dino stared at Homura. While this happened, Homura grew more
nervous by the second. After about two minutes, Dino started to burst out in
laughter.
"He's no good!!!"
"We just met and he already calls me no good?!"
"You don't have the aura. The way you present yourself is terrible. You don't
seem ambitious either. There's no sense of anticipation. You look unlucky
too. Your disposition as a boss is zero."
"Reborn, who are these people anyway?!"
"He's your senior, Dino. Just think of him as your older brother."
"Don't let what I said get to you so much, Vongola Decimo. Before I met
Reborn, I was exactly like you. Though, thanks to Reborn, i'm now the boss
of a family with five-thousand members. To be honest, I still have much to
learn, but he told me he insisted on coming to Magnolia to teach you, so I
had to let him go."
Homura was surprised to learn that Dino was his senior. Though, he wanted
to make one thing explicitly clear to him. Something that he keeps telling
Reborn.
"Listen, there must be a misunderstanding. I have no desire whatsoever to
become the boss of a mafia."
"Hahaha!!! You really are exactly like me from back then!!!!!"
"???"
"Back then, I thought being in the mafia meant you do evil deeds and throw
morals out the window. Decent people don't seek to join the mafia in the
first place. You're a trustworthy person, Homura."
"Dino...."
"But if you keep refusing...."
As Lambo was chasing after I-Pin, who successfully recovered from her
illness and is staying with Homura, he held two grenades in his hands. As
he ran around, he tripped and fell on the floor as the grenades flew out the
window. As Lambo stood up, he saw the pins to the grenades in his hands.
Soon a brief look of horror was on Homura's face.
"Dino's men are still out there!!!! Reborn, w-"
"Get down, guys!!!!"
Before Homura could finish his sentence, Dino jumped out the window as
he held a whip in his right hand. He swifty swung his whip as it wrapped
around the two grenades and threw them into the air. As Dino landed on his
feet, the grenades exploded in the air. Meanwhile, Homura looked at Dino
with a surprised expression.
"So cool....."
"Now do you see. A boss risks his life for his family."
"Don't relate everything back to that."
"Dino, why don't you stay for the night?"
Dino was fine with it, but only after hearing what his Family had to say.
They decided to go back since they knew they had nothing to worry about
with Reborn keeping an eye on Dino.
"Geez...you guys can be embarrassing sometimes."
~Nighttime~
"Thank you for the meal!!!!!"
Dino, Lambo, I-Pin, Futa, Bianchi, and Reborn were all at the dinner table
happily eating some food that Homura made. As Dino was eating, he was
surprised to know that Homura was a decent cook.
"Anyways....what do you want to ask me, my cute sworn brother."
"Well why is Reborn here trying to train me? It seems like he'd be better off
with you."
"Vongola is the center of the allied families. That's why it gets priority over
all others in every aspect."
Homura couldn't believe how much influence Vongola had. It just made him feel even more unsure if he was capable of being the boss, if he were to accept that is. Though...he was comfortable working at Fairy Tail and didn't
want to say goodbye to it.
"By the way Reborn, does Homura have a Family yet?"
"He has Hayato Gokudera and Takeshi Yamamoto. I observed Takeshi for a
while and he has amazing physical capabilities.
Though, Hibari Kyoya and
Ryohei Sasagawa are prime candidates of joining."
"They're not my family! They're my friends!!!!!"
As Homura said this, Dino had a smile on his face. Homura really did remind him of his younger self. Having seeing this, Dino stood up from the
table.
"Well Reborn. It was nice to be here, but I better head out. If you saw
potential in me, then i'm positive the potential you see in Homura isn't misplaced."
"Dino....."
"Well, i'll be on my way. See y-"
Before Dino could finish his sentence, he suddenly tripped over his own
foot as he fell down. When this happened, Homura sweatdrops at this display as Reborn laughed.
"Without his men, Dino only functions half as well. He's the type who can
only use his power for the family or in front of the family. Without his men,
his athleticism drops drastically. Yet this is the same guy who earned the
name Bronco Dino from friends and enemies alike."
As Homura helped Dino up, he walked the man to the door. While this
happened, Dino was smiling, happy that he got a good junior to look after.
"I'm fine, I can make it to where my men are on my own."
"I see. Be sure to be careful, Dino!"
"I will!!!!"
As Dino said this, he ran off. It was nice to see his teacher and junior.
However, he had a feeling that things were a bit too peaceful for Homura
considering his position. While he ran, he had one thought enter his mind.
"Be careful, Homura. The world of a mafia family can be dark at times and
something tells me that you might bare witness to it."
~With Homura~
As Homura walked back inside of the home, he saw everyone sleeping in
the living room. While he was moving forward, he saw Futa, I-Pin, and
Lambo shivering.
"You guys..."
As he saw this, Homura quickly got a blanket and used it to cover the three
kids and keep them warm. Just as Homura was about to go to his room, he
felt someone grab onto his hand.
"Futa?"
"Homura-nii....please stay. It's more fun with everyone together."
"....fine."
As Homura was lying on the floor, he saw Futa smiling. The young boy
looked at Homura as a brother figure. Not only did Homura save him and I-Pin, he even gave them a place to stay since they have no where else to go.
Just as Homura was closing his eyes, he noticed everything floating in the
air.
"What's going?!"
"Homura Sawada...in terms of overall ability, he ranks last place. But...in
terms of bosses who care for the Family, he ranks highest only second to
Bronco Dino."
After saying this, everything was back on the ground. Homura remembered
what Reborn told him once. Whenever Futa ranks something, gravity
around him becomes distorted, making objects around him float and images
of stars and galaxies appear in his eyes.
"Geez. At least you didn't mess anything up this time."
As Homura looked towards Futa, he saw that the boy was sound asleep
along with the others. Soon Homura smiled as he too began to feel tired as
one thing is on his mind.
"I guess having a family...wouldn't be so bad."

"That's what I thought to myself at the moment. But then...after a certain
event, I realized something. The moment I'm in danger....everyone around
me will end up sharing my fate."
~Three days later~
A single boy from the Hargeon Disciplinary Committee is seen beaten and
on the ground. As this happened, two people approached him.
"Ha!!!! These chumps aren't so terrifying!!!!!"
"Damn you.....who are you?!"
"Us? We're just a couple of lost kids looking for a way back!!!! Right, Chikusa?"
"Quit fooling around Ken."
As Chikusa said this, he handed Ken some pliers. Ken smiled as he stepped
on the committee member's back. Soon he put the pliers on one of the
victim's teeth.
"So how many are we suppose to take from this one? Don't blame me, this
is an order from the top."
"Stop.....STOP!!!!!!!!"
~Meanwhile~
A single boy was seen sitting on a couch of an abandoned building. As he
sat down in silence, a small smile appeared on his face.
"The countdown has finally begun. I heard word of the boss of Vongola
being somewhere near here. With the ranking list, we can narrow down our
search. I couldn't have done this without you..."
As the young man looked ahead of him, he saw a child with brown hair
standing before him. However, his eyes were extremely vacant as he held a
single book containing various lists of rankings. Seeing this, the young man
smiled as he looked at his new puppet.
".....thank you, Futa."
The time for standing by is over. A threat is slowly revealing itself from
within the shadows. Homura must be prepared to fight with his dying
will.
