Chapter 23 - Chapter 23: Osas's Brave Stand

They had already found Vode's mom and had men watching her, The others searched the house, their guns drawn, as they scoured each room for any other sign of life. But they found none, or so they thought. Unbeknownst to them, Osas was hiding behind the curtain by the door, his heart racing with fear. He clutched a machete in his hand, his grip firm and tight.

The gunmen approached the sitting room once more, "Boss it seems no one else is here" their leader Paul who was contacted earlier by the Prince stood up before replying "Good! Now get rid of her".

Osas held his breath, his muscles tensed. He knew he had to act fast, or risk being discovered. With a fierce cry, he burst out from behind the curtain, machete raised high.

The gunmen were taken aback by the sudden appearance of Osas, and they hesitated for a moment. That moment was all Osas needed. With a swift swing of his machete, he struck down the first gunman, the blade slicing through the air with deadly precision.

The other gunmen quickly recovered from their surprise and opened fire, their bullets whizzing past Osas's head. But Osas was undeterred, his determination fueled by his desire to protect Vode's mother. He charged forward, machete flashing in the light, as he clashed with the gunmen.

The scene was chaotic, the sound of gunfire and clashing steel filling the air. Osas fought valiantly, his machete slicing through the gunmen's defenses. He dodged and weaved, avoiding their bullets with a agility that belied his fear.

Despite being outnumbered, Osas held his own against the gunmen. He fought with a fierce determination, his machete rising and falling in deadly arcs. The gunmen were well-armed, but Osas had something they didn't - the will to protect those he cared about.

As the fight raged on, Osas began to gain the upper hand. He struck down gunman after gunman, his machete slicing through their defenses. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, the last gunman fell to the ground, defeated.

Osas stood panting, his machete trembling with exhaustion. He had fought bravely, and had emerged victorious. He looked around at the carnage, he knew that the fight wasn't over just yet.

Pow!!!!!! A gun shot rang out, immediately Osas let go of the machete which was directed with the last strength he had, it headed straight towards the direction of were Paul was crouching after watching Osas cinematic display, he fell as the blade rest on his head.

With a smile Osas walked up to Vode's mom "it's alright now you are safe" she had been laying flat and still on the floor, she felt a warm liquid drop on her fingers then she looked up "No! No!! Osas!!!" She wailed but no response was gone kneeling down in front of her.
