Of course,Noble Souls who had done exempelary deeds towards the betterment of their people or Humanity in general are excluded on this trial.
In short,They're given a free Golden Ticket towards Heaven of Eden and there they can live eternal life with the Mythical Creator and his finest creations.
Unfortunately,A poor sap named Noah who is currently lining up in long-long line of dead souls like him is obviously exempted from such 'Exclusive Service'.
His lifestory isn't interesting as he is just an average human who eats,sleeps and read novels like this etc.
He is just like YOU.
The only interesting part in his life is that he is whisked away by the Legendary 'Truck-kun' while he is busy staring at his smartphone while in the middle of the road.

This humanoid being in front of him has an exposed pink facial muscle not protected by skin and has a resembling mouth twisted in it's placement and each tooth has a shiny gleam of steel and has a sharpness of a saw.
Of course,This being in front of him smelled the usual Fear emitting from the soul of Noah but remained indifferent as he encountered these souls many times...In fact he encountered a 665 similar souls out of 999.
Of which,less than 10 of them has dealings of supernatural so Devils do not phased them.As for the rest?They're just souls from former animals and insects with intelligence but are yet lacking in sapience.
These animals and insects are given a preferential treatment but it's another topic for tomorrow.
Anyway,His 666th client today is interesting to say the least.
He doesn't mean his virgin sad story or his petty sins like j*cking off to a MILF neighbor.
What he means is that his Karma is exactly Zero.
Now,Normally a person or a soul will have an increase in Karma when they do a good deed whether it's insignificant or not like:Creating a vaccine that can be mass-produced against cancer or just helping an old grandma on helping her cross the street.The same can be said in bad deeds also as they result in negative karma thus reducing the accumulated karma in their life.
And when this person dies,depending on their accumulated karma.A Messenger Angel might be sent towards this soul to personally guide towards them to 'Heaven of Eden' if his/her karma is high enough.However,if their karma isn't enough or worse their karma is negative.Then they will face a trial judgement that will decide what to do to them and a free 'Hot Sauna' 24/7 is a 100% guarantee for those with negative karma.
However,This 666th client of his is one of the few special case.one of the fewest of the few even.As his good deed granted him +999 karma but also his last and next deed which is a bad deed reduced his karma by -999.
And it confused him,what he did do to gain so much karma and at the same time reduced his karma at perfect zero.For a moment though,He suspect that he had some knowledge about the Karmic system placed by the Creator two millleinums ago.But he doubted this as he sensed fear coming from him just at the level of just anxiety which is well justified since he had a power to dictate his punishment.
If he had a knowledge regarding karma,then he will know the capabilities of a Devil to be granted at this job.Thus,The richness of fear should be greater.
Anyway,He read the causes of his latest deeds aloud enough to be heard by his client as some said they prefer their dark secrets to never see the light thus he always considered all clients are like this.Dunno about other Devil Judges are like this tho.
"Noah Ydios,I will state your latest deeds before your death.You have comitted a good deed of helping your neighbor "Elena Hawks" of inspiring her to complete her General Cancer Vaccine that can reduce the fatality of persons inflicted by this disease.You gained an increase of 999 Karma."
The Devil in front of Noah saw the relieved expression of his and he smirked inwardly.
'He must thought that he will be handed towards the Angels with so much Karma.Unfortunately,Just appearing here in Purgatory means you are unworthy of ascending to Heaven'And he continued reading aloud his last bad deed.
"But your phone which has naked pictures of "Elena Hawks" with her sexy poses that you managed to capture with your perverse actions had been stolen by some random guy and threatened her with a blackmail and when he didn't get what he want,he posted these picture on various social media platforms causing a scandal online and be labeled as a 'Slut'.
It caused "Elena Hawks" to had a mental breakdown and committed a suicide by hanging.Her invention and research that has the potential of saving countless people had never seen the light and gotten buried by history.You lost 999 Karma."
As he finished reading his deeds aloud from the replica of "Book of Life",A sacred book made by Creator that records every deed whether good or bad of a person.The texts inscribed in this replica is sourced from the original Book of Life which is in the hands of Seraphs.He gave a strange glance towards Noah.
Noah,Seeing that glance now knew that something is wrong on his karma.And he is thinking of resisting if he is judged to be thrown into the lake of fire.He really didn't want to live with so much pain forever he would rather die eternally.Sadly,There's no such thing as quit button in real-life to go away unscathed.
And besides,Just looking at the huge and bulging muscles of Devils with their red eyes with flames coming from their nostrils thus keeping other souls in-line behind him obedient.His courage wane sharply.
The Devil in front of Noah obvously noticed the meaning of his glances and he really didn't place much care if he will resist his verdict he will passed or just simply comply.
'Now,That i think about it.His karmic level is at perfect equilibrium and is eligible to be sent to one of "Forbidden Realities".Maybe i can get promoted to a high position if he can succeed or just partially even'.The Devil thought as he hid the malice behind his word he will say next.
"You have accumulated Zero Karma in your life and although you will not be thrown to the Lake of Fire,I can confirm you will at least suffer at least a Hundred Years or more for the sins you committed in your life."

When Noah heard his chilling words he felt a cold sweat run down to his spine as he imagined the 'possible' fate he will suffer.And although he is relieved that he will not be thrown to the Lake of Fire,It doesn't mean he is relieved to be tortured instead for a century or more.
He admits that he is just an ordinary person born from the Modern Age and is afraid of tremendous levels of pain.
Just imagining and hearing the terms of some of torture methods make every fibre of his being shiver.And the worst of it?He soon will experience on how painful it is.
