Chapter 27 - A ritual

Meanwhile Cyrus walks down the hallway under a school. Teachers have reported some weird

noises here at night. Cyrus approached a large door, and pushed it confirming that it was

sealed shut. A large eye glared back at Cyrus, but Cyrus ignored it. The eye then disappeared

out of sight but appeared right behind Cyrus. Cyrus turned around instantly, but saw nothing

there.

"Can't take chances here." Cyrus said softly.

He grabbed his phone from his pocket and called for his companions to bring some warning signs

and told them exactly what to paint. Restricted area, this is a warning from the Ancient. That

should be good. Sometime later, Cyrus companions arrive with the painted sign.

"So how exactly did this school shut down?" one asked.

"I heard many rumors. One was that demons were taking over. Another was that it wasn't even a

real school. Do you believe that?" came another.

Cyrus lifted one of the books from his side. He brushed any dust from the cover.

He was so close to finding who the person responsible for the disappearance was.

[Mehatto clan]

Mehatto! His father called.

Mehatto's father whistled and a few students showed up at his door.

"Have any of you seen Mehatto?" he asked. The students shook their heads.

It was strange for Mehatto to be missing at 11 pm at night, and he couldn't go out searching

for him either. He told his students to be wary of anything that they hear or see. It was also unusual for Mehatto to disappear without a word. If the person Mehatto mentioned was really that powerful, then being out this late was especially dangerous. They would have to strategize their ways of fighting. He thought that the reason Mehatto ran away was probably because he was upset that some of their students were kidnapped today. Surely, he would come home eventually. He apologized to his students and went out to search for Mehatto alone. He wasn't scared of getting lost, because his knowledge of the surrounding area far surpassed the others. The only thing he was scared of was powerful monsters that were stronger than him. That's why he ordered his students to go back to bed, so they wouldn't be put in danger.

The three demons and Ikke continue to pray for their Ancient, one who did not exist in this

world or other worlds. But they didn't care, for this was their only way to survive. Suddenly

a screen flickered to life, and the person that showed up was a powerful demon called Xion.

"What do you want?! I am doing something really important right now!" He shouted.

The three demons and Ikke backed away clearly terrified of Xion.

"I told you we shouldn't have tried this!" one of them silently said.

"Well, are you not going to speak loudly so I can hear?!" Xion shouted louder.

Xion was a powerful demon who only challenged those who were strong. All he saw at the front

were three puny demons, and their fake leader. Ikke cleared his throat and spoke, "What could

possibly be more important than this ritual?" Xion spun his screen to show the armored man with a halberd.

Then the screen started to flicker more and more until connection was lost.

The three demons and Ikke looked at each other.

"Let's talk about this. Xion isn't from this world, is he?" one of the demons said.

"No way he could be unless he is one of the Ancients who can travel between different worlds.

What I want to know is why he thinks I'm a fake leader. I'm perfectly capable of being a

leader. That's how I managed to kidnap our friend over here." Ikke gestured to Mehatto.

Mehatto tries to speak, but to the demons, his voice was muted. Now that they had Mehatto,

that meant that they had one of the keys to entering the real world. The seal kept Mehatto

trapped, and that means one seal from the real world will be broken. It might not be

powerful enough to let someone as powerful as Ancients to get past a seal, but it would at

the least let Ikke and his friends to cross.

Meanwhile Xion who was teaming up with the armored man with a halberd. , didn't care about the

ritual that they were doing. True he was sealed away, but the person he was sealed away with

was none other than the armored man with a halberd. and honestly they became best friends.

As a matter of fact, they were willing to team up, something that the DEATHKNIGHTS or the supernatural could do. This was the closest thing to that. A demon and someone who was

willing to risk their life to seal that same demon now teaming up is unheard of. Since they

had so much time to spare, they often sparred with each other. Xion would get to try out the Armored man's armor, and Xion would eventually learn how to wield a wooden halberd, but eventually after months of training with a halberd, he understood that weapon was not for him.

The armored man with a halberd raised his weapon a sign that he had won yet again. Xion asked

for a rematch. He couldn't accept losing now, not when he was so close to winning that time.

He charged forward, but the armored man with a halberd. imply dodged him as he flew past, and

then proceeded to taunt him for the fun of it. Xion kept his attacks coming, never growing

tired despite his soul being sealed.
