After a short while, Bulma directed the servants to begin bringing out the prepared food one after another.
Tray after tray, each piled high with all kinds of dishes, was placed on the dining table. A glance around revealed a dazzling array of foods, each giving off an irresistible aroma.
Even some of Earth's highest-ranking elites would never have seen such delicacies. The unique fragrance alone was enough to make even the Angel lose composure, let alone the God of Destruction Champa.
The fat cat was a born foodie. Seeing so many dishes he'd never even heard of, his mind went blank; drool began dripping uncontrollably from the corners of his mouth, attracted by the wonderful aroma.
"Th–This… what on earth are all these?" Champa tried his best to suppress his hunger. His dignity as a God of Destruction was on the line.
So what if they looked delicious, smelled good, and were all completely new to him?
Hmph! I can't lose face. Absolutely not…
At first, Champa managed to restrain himself. But as the dazzling display of delicacies nearly blinded him, his rationality finally gave way.
Before delicious food, to hell with dignity!
Completely overtaken by hunger, Champa quickly sprang into action under Bulma's introduction and demonstration, immediately taking a bite.
It was fine before eating, but the moment that first bite exploded on his taste buds, Champa's eyes widened, and his whole body froze in place as if struck by lightning.
An unprecedented sensation welled up in his heart. The food of Earth was so delicious it felt like he was ascending to heaven.
He devoured the meal, finding words utterly unnecessary.
Watching Champa lose control like that, Whis and Vados couldn't help but be startled, their curiosity about Earth's delicacies growing even stronger.
They soon followed suit, each taking a bite.
A never-before-felt experience surged through them, sending ripples across hearts that had remained unshaken for hundreds of millions of years.
Their eyes lit up. Their movements grew faster and faster as they began to revel in the pleasure brought by the food.
Meanwhile, across the table, Talot watched the three of them surrender completely to the food, a sly smile forming on his lips; his scheme had succeeded.
Everything was unfolding exactly as he had planned.
...
The grand banquet went on for a long time, lasting until the night deepened.
The two Angels and Champa were completely full, each wearing an expression of utter bliss.
After experiencing how exquisite Earth's food was, even Whis began to think that whenever he had free time, he should come visit Earth more often.
Though that technically went against the rules, rules were dead things, and people were alive.
Beerus was still asleep, after all; no one could restrain him.
From now on, with food like this, life would never be as dull as before.
If only he had known earlier, he'd have come to Earth ages ago.
Vados, on the other hand, was clearly thinking much further ahead.
Earth was a wonderful place. Their own Universe 6 should have a planet just like it.
Once they returned, she planned to investigate further. After all, as twin universes, if Universe 7's Earth had such amazing food, then surely Universe 6's Earth should as well.
As for coming back to this Earth again.
Don't even joke about it. Whis had already found out about this visit; next time, they'd have to wait a long while before returning.
The purpose of their trip was of great importance. The matter of the Super Dragon Balls had already consumed decades of effort. They couldn't afford to let it be exposed so easily.
Meanwhile, Champa didn't have any ulterior motives. He was clearly still savoring the taste of Earth's delicacies, clearly not satisfied yet.
After living for so many years, it was the first time he'd eaten something this delicious. He couldn't help but feel like he'd wasted all those years of his life.
"Vados, our universe has an Earth too, doesn't it?" Champa suddenly grew sharp for once, turning his gaze toward Vados as he asked.
"It should have," Vados replied honestly. "After all, Universe 6 and Universe 7 are twin universes."
"After we return, let's go take a look at the Earth of our own universe. It shouldn't be any worse than the Earth of this universe."
Champa, having received a satisfactory answer, smiled knowingly. His gaze shifted, landing once again on Talot.
"In honor of the delicious food, I'll let today's matter slide. But to be honest, you're really strong. Aside from that Beerus, you're the first one who's given me such an enjoyable fight." For the first time, Champa openly praised Talot's strength.
This sudden change in attitude caught Talot somewhat off guard.
Perhaps this was what people meant by mutual respect between the strong. For someone of Champa's status as a God of Destruction to lower his pride and acknowledge another's power; it clearly showed a shift in his mindset.
"In the end, I just got lucky," Talot replied modestly. "If you'd kept fighting, it's hard to say what the outcome would have been."
Upon hearing that, Champa burst out laughing, clearly satisfied. He then slowly turned around and waved his hand, bidding farewell to Talot.
"Well then, thank you for the hospitality, Talot. I look forward to seeing you again next time. And thank you as well for your hospitality, Mrs. Talot," said Vados knowingly. She bid Talot farewell and then expressed her gratitude to Bulma.
Afterward, she looked toward Whis. The two Angels exchanged a knowing nod, and then Vados activated the unique teleportation technique of the Angels. Taking Champa with her, she transformed into a streak of seven-colored light, shooting out of Earth's atmosphere at an unimaginable speed.
They were crossing dimensions, directly leaping out of Universe 7.
With the departure of Angel Vados and God of Destruction Champa, this entire affair finally came to an end.
Watching Vados and Champa leave, Whis felt relieved as well, and immediately prepared to return to the God of Destruction's Planet.
"Please wait a moment, Whis," Talot suddenly called out, stopping him.
"Oh? What is it, Talot?" Whis asked in puzzlement, his eyes studying Talot closely, a hint of curiosity glinting within them.
"It's like this. There's something I wanted to ask you…something I hope you might be able to help with. After all, you're an Angel, and from what I've observed and understood, your power seems practically omnipotent…" Talot said earnestly.
At that, Whis chuckled lightly: "Omnipotent might be an exaggeration. But go ahead, if it's within my ability, I don't mind lending a hand."
Talot nodded, then went on to explain that Salari was due to give birth very soon.
In essence, he reasoned that since gods governed creation and destruction, then as an Angel, who stood above even them, it should be an easy task for Whis to assist in delivering a baby without pain.
Talot asked this on purpose, of course, knowing that in the original work, Whis had helped Bulma deliver Bulla.
By taking this chance, he could encourage Whis to visit Earth more often, and, in doing so, tie this "super cheat-like" being more closely to them.
As a return favor, he and Bulma could treat Whis to even more of Earth's delicious food.
To Talot's surprise, Whis didn't even give it much thought and agreed right away.
What Talot didn't know was that Whis had been worrying about not having a good excuse to come to Earth.
