With a thunderous boom!
The energy concentrated on Nappa's fist exploded. Completely caught off guard, Vegeta was struck by the blow and sent flying more than ten meters back.
But an explosion of this level still wasn't enough to injure Vegeta.
"If you have any more tricks, go ahead and use them, Nappa! Otherwise, you won't get another chance later!" Vegeta beckoned to Nappa, his confidence unshakable as he smiled.
In the face of overwhelming strength, any trick was nothing but a cheap parlor trick.
"Hmph!" Nappa merely snorted coldly in response.
Right after, energy surged through his entire body, sending ripples through the air. His aura surged, golden energy gathering in both hands.
"Take this, Vegeta!!" With a loud roar, Nappa's hands moved rapidly, firing a barrage of Energy Balls that covered the sky like a net, blanketing Vegeta in a full-scale bombardment.
"A carpet bombing? That does remind me a little of myself, but you seem to have picked the wrong occasion. This kind of attack is just a waste of energy, completely useless!!" Vegeta swept his arms, sending out a fierce golden aura that transformed into an unstoppable wave of destruction, crashing into Nappa's Energy Balls.
Bang! One Energy Ball exploded, triggering a chain reaction that set off all the others in quick succession.
Rumble...! The flames from the explosions covered most of the sky.
Blazing flames expanded rapidly, as if to swallow everything, yet were held within a certain range by a mysterious force.
"Heh..." Vegeta crossed his arms, coldly sneering.
But it seemed he hadn't noticed he'd fallen into a trap.
Those Energy Balls were nothing more than a diversion.
Nappa's real ultimate technique was already nearly complete.
"Still not planning to show yourself? In that case, I won't be polite!" Vegeta swept his arm again, unleashing a mighty storm that tore apart the wall of flames before him.
But the sight that greeted him made his pupils contract sharply, and an ominous premonition filled his heart.
He saw Nappa's mouth open wide, a large amount of energy forming at the back of his throat. In the blink of an eye, it blasted out, shooting straight toward Vegeta.
"Not good!!" Feeling the immense destructive power of this attack, Vegeta dared not be careless. With no time to dodge, he could only hastily mobilize his energy, crossing his arms in front of him to defend.
Nappa's Break Cannon hit Vegeta dead-on, setting off a powerful explosion that shook the world.
Rumble...!
The shockwaves from the blast rippled in all directions, sending spatial ripples through the air. The searing flames were kept confined within a set range by the invisible barrier.
This strike was so terrifying that it could have obliterated a gigantic planet in an instant.
"This is what happens when you underestimate me, Vegeta." Nappa couldn't help but gloat.
He was very confident in his improved Super Break Cannon.
Even though Vegeta was powerful, taking a direct hit from an energy beam at such close range surely wouldn't be pleasant.
But his triumph lasted less than three seconds. Before Nappa could savor his moment of arrogance, the smoke cleared, and Vegeta's unharmed body came into view.
Seeing this with his own eyes, Nappa was left dumbfounded, completely stunned.
"Th-this... how is this possible?! You're not hurt at all?!" Nappa kept checking, unable to believe what he was seeing.
He had poured all his strength into that energy wave, yet it hadn't even scratched Vegeta...
"The destructive power of that attack was indeed impressive. If you'd been just a little faster, I might actually have taken a hit. But unfortunately, there aren't so many 'ifs' in this world." Golden aura flames roared around Vegeta, his entire aura surging, signaling that he was about to go on the counterattack.
Knowing full well Vegeta's fighting style, Nappa immediately assumed a defensive stance, bracing himself for Vegeta's fierce assault.
"I hope you won't be defeated easily, Nappa!" As soon as he finished speaking, Vegeta transformed into a streak of golden light, charging at Nappa with lightning speed. He poured all his strength into his fist and aimed a punch straight at Nappa's face.
Seeing this, Nappa instinctively raised his hand to block.
Bang!!! A powerful blow instantly sent Nappa flying more than ten meters back, and the piercing pain in his arm made his heart sink.
But this was only the beginning. Vegeta wouldn't let Nappa off so easily.
In the blink of an eye, Vegeta rushed forward again, quickly closing the distance to Nappa. Unleashing his Prince's fighting style, he launched a barrage of attacks as fierce and relentless as a storm.
Bang! Bang! Bang!... One heavy, muffled explosion after another rang out.
The collision of their bodies set off layer after layer of sonic booms in the air.
Vegeta's onslaught was ferocious—fast and ruthless. In just a few seconds, Nappa's defense was beginning to collapse, and he was struggling to hold on.
Realizing he couldn't match Vegeta head-on, Nappa switched to evasive tactics.
He quickly flared his energy to force Vegeta back, keeping a relatively safe distance, and used Energy Balls to try to disrupt Vegeta's movements.
"Such boring little tricks won't work on me, Nappa." Vegeta scoffed, his fists moving rapidly as he effortlessly shattered all of Nappa's Energy Balls.
Unable to stop Vegeta's advance with his Energy Balls, Nappa's expression grew even uglier.
Whoosh! The sound of the air being split rang out.
Vegeta's figure, like the light of dawn breaking through darkness, appeared right in front of Nappa.
The speed was so fast that Nappa couldn't react in time.
Bang!!! A dull, meaty thud resounded.
Vegeta's fist sank deep into Nappa's abdomen.
The intense pain twisted Nappa's face, and if not for years of training that had greatly increased his physical endurance, that single punch from Vegeta might have knocked him out of the fight right then and there.
But Vegeta didn't hold back.
Bang! Bam! Bang! Bam!... Fists and kicks rained down on Nappa's body.
"What's wrong?! Is this all the power you have after transforming into a Super Saiyan? Is this all you've got, Nappa?!" Vegeta clasped both hands together and brought them down like a meteor hammer, smashing directly into Nappa's back.
Boom!!! The force of that blow was terrifying. Nappa instantly lost control of his body.
Struck hard, Nappa tumbled down like a kite with its string cut.
Boom...! The impact shook the entire area, and the massive arena was left with a gigantic crater.
Seeing Nappa take such a powerful attack, everyone in the backstage waiting area was anxious for him.
Just when everyone thought Nappa had been defeated—
In the center of the massive crater, Nappa shakily stood up.
Veins bulged on his forehead, and he looked like a furious wild beast.
He lifted his gaze; blood was flowing from a cut on his forehead, staining his eyes red.
Staring at Vegeta in midair, Nappa's expression grew even more solemn.
"I knew it would turn out like this. But the fight isn't over yet! Vegeta, let me show you my power beyond Super Saiyan!" With a thunderous roar, Nappa's aura underwent a drastic change, his golden aura swelling, and his body began to expand.
Ever since he learned how to transform into a Super Saiyan, Nappa had been training to surpass his limits without slacking off. Now, he has already mastered Super Saiyan Grade 2 and Grade 3.
