Seeing this, the coldness in Cass's eyes grew even more intense.

He slowly looked towards Austin, who was being restrained, and asked coldly, "In such a short time, what did you say to her that she would protect you like this?"

Austin probably considered all this as part of the test, and before answering, he didn't forget to flash a bright smile at Angel.

Then he said without hesitation, "Mr. Cass, I just expressed my feelings to your sister truthfully. If Angel is protecting me, it means she doesn't hate me at least, doesn't it?"

This reasoning, though reasonable and well-founded, did nothing to ease Cass's expression.
