Lucivar grinned mischievously.
It was clear that he came here to taunt and mock Kebe, a payback for what he did.
Attacking the family out of nowhere is what he did.
So, naturally, Lucivar was inclined to show Kebe that he could do it too.
And unlike Kebe's attempt that ended in failure, his would succeed without a doubt.
"Kill her? And what made you think that I care about a woman like her? Because she was my wife? Please," Kebe chuckled bravely—spinning the golden spear in his hand expertly in a taunt. "Both of us are between mortals and deities. I'm not bothered by this mundane threat."
Lucivar turned to Anastasya, face twisted darkly as he pinched her face with his hand.
"Hey," He called, annoyance in his tone. "I thought you said—he loves you? What's with his reaction? I spared your life because you said he loves you so much he'll attack me on sight. But that does not seem to be the case. Why is he acting like that?"
