Letting Michael stay over for some drinks and some pastries was the right move. It gave Maxwell some time to calm himself, and had an official medical professional around as well. Plus, Maxwell wasn't the only one who needed some gentle care.
Michael brushed it off, but he did seem genuinely surprised and a little upset about the proposition he'd received. A little talking with Andrew and Maxwell seemed to settle him, and he was very appreciative of the snacks that Andrew had available. Maxwell was a little upset that he didn't get to use his new toy right away, but he also seemed worried about Michael.
They were able to get a bit more out of him as time went on, and it wasn't lost on Andrew that both Richard and Michael were being pursued in some way at the same time. Andrew kept it to himself, offering help and a kind word, but eventually, Michael got another call.
