Chapter 45
On his way down the cave path, Raven's eyes flickered as he glanced at a stone pillar to his right. The solemn chants seemed to gather around the strange post like bees to honey.
Spotting a crimson marking atop the post, Raven furrowed his brows and thought, 'A red mark? Why is something like this here? Almost resembles a warning post. It's pure red too. Was the person too scared that others wouldn't get the message?'
Raven shook his head and continued down the path. It wasn't that he was seeking death. No, far from it—after being left for the dead during his father's fun sacrificial ritual,Raven cherished his life so much . Rather than that, the truth was that the forest was annoyingly huge and, without encountering a mirror portal nearby, he could be wandering for days.
However, this cave path offered something new. Its entrance was concealed with magic which meant someone, or something, had been here before. Now, those were truly good signs.
