The Culinary King Competition is about to begin, but the Tang Restaurant has yet to prepare.
Liu Chen asked Tang Sisi, "If you don't have a chef to participate, let me do it."
"Don't joke around. Do you really think you can cook?" Tang Sisi shook her head, truly not believing that Liu Chen could cook.
"How would you know if you don't let me try? Let's do this; I'll first taste the level of your cooking here. If it's really good, I won't step in. I'll only help when you really have no other options."
Tang Sisi didn't believe Liu Chen, but since he wanted to try the restaurant's dishes, she let him taste freely, as it was their family cuisine anyway.
With Tang Sisi's permission, Liu Chen headed to the kitchen, tasting various dishes just as they were prepared for guests. He tried many but wasn't satisfied with any.
"How did it go?"
Tang Sisi was curious about Liu Chen's tasting skills and came over to ask.
