Chapter 100 The Battle's End and the Cost of Victory
The deep, ancient cavern of the temple was filled with the chaotic sounds of a brutal war. On the soldiers' side, the fierce battle was already mostly over. As the pulsing red node above the altar grew brighter, Karn knew he had to finish this immediately. The spatial coordinates were locking, and the alien portal was slowly beginning to tear open the sky.
"Die, you arrogant brat!" Yevdu screamed. His creepy, constant smile looked incredibly twisted in the dark red light of the altar. He thrust his dark sword forward, releasing a massive cyclone of green, corrosive void winds that melted the stone pillars around them.
