Chapter 53 - Month or three

"Master, sorry for the delay!"

He pulled out the medallion and showed it to Reveria.

She entered the artifact and quickly took it from his hand and injected mana into it.

Light flashed and within fractions of a second the medallion disappeared.

Reveria stood in space with a confident posture.

The man was almost done healing.

But he had a troubled look on his face.

Reveria looked at Avon for a second and focused back on the man,

'Why has he advanced in body cultivation..?'

She wondered about Avon.

Avon who inside the artifact just noticed how inside it was a completely different world. He couldn't see what was happening outside.

Inside the artifact was like another world, with greenery and blue skies.

He looked around and saw Laia lying on the ground and breathing heavily.

Her insides were paining excruciatingly.

Avon who arrived late didn't know what was happening, he held her hand and spoke,

"What happened to you? Wait a moment master will come help you soon. Just hold on for a little while big sis Laia!"

He tried to encourage her.

He knew Reveria would defeat the man easily as she had a very confident look on her face.

Outside Reveria stood before the man, who had cuts and holes all over and was not capable of healing himself anymore.

"Before you die, tell me about your organization"

She spoke in a cold tone. She had frozen the space around the man and he couldn't move anymore.

The man shook his head sideways and smiled weakly,

".. never.."

Reveria just looked at him, then she sighed and placed her hand on his forehead.

The man began screaming as she forcefully entered his head and began extracting his memories.

Once she was done, she looked at the man who was seconds away from dying. He had a stupefied look on his face,

"You must be wondering how I extracted your memories when your people should have supposedly put a barrier in your mind.

Let me tell you, what they did was place a curse on you so that you would die the moment someone tried to extract your memories. Afterall placing a barrier inside the mind is something only one person in this universe can do.... of course you wouldn't know that.

I can manage to heal you while extracting your memories making sure you don't die, but because of that you experienced pain that you wouldn't even wish for on your enemies.

This is what happens when you choose the wrong path."

Saying so she watched the man's eyes gradually lose their light. Then she stored his body and entered the artifact to help Laia.

Avon was seated beside Laia who was struggling and writing around in pain.

"Master....help...p-please.."

She pleaded as soon as she sensed Reveria.

Avon looked back and saw Reveria walking leisurely towards them.

"Don't be afraid. It won't kill you."

Saying so she sat down beside Avon and pulled up Laia's shirt so that her stomach and core were visible.

Then she placed her hand there and a white light passed from Reveria's hand to Laia's body.

Laia began sweating profusely and after a few minutes she was breathing normally.

Laia was clutching Avon's hand with an iron grip and truthfully his hand was paining but he stayed silent.

Once she was fully healed Laia sat and let go of his hand. His hand was all pale. Slowly the blood began rushing in.

Avon looked at Reveria and asked,

"Master...did you defeat the man?"

"Yes"

Reveria looked at Avon for a while and said,

"Why have you completed the body cultivation stage...."

"Actually...it's one of the reasons for the long delay in my arrival. The rules of Xianzin and Steela had changed by the time I had reached there."

"Hmm? What changed within a few days? also what do you mean by a long?...you came within a month as expected...I can say you were late by hours at most..."

Avon's eyes widened as he heard this, he took roughly three months to return and he was sure of it!

"...Master I spent around three months out there... I'm sure! I spent more than a month on Steela itself!"

This time it was Reveria who shocked, she narrowed her eyes spoke of the one possibility she could think of,

"...time dilation..."

Avon on the other hand felt relief wash over.

He was not late in delivering the medallion.

A smile naturally found its way on his face.

Reveria noticed it and asked with a small smile,

"What's gotten you smiling like that"

"I was worried that I would be too late but somehow I made it in time. All the hardships were worth it. All that trouble I faced....didn't cause any real losses."

He spoke with a smile.

Reveria was curious as to what troubles he faced, but she still had some other things to focus on,

"Let's discuss about this in detail later. For now let us take some loads off of Earth"

"Hm?"
