One thing I have noticed about myself now is the need to do things, for myself. All though my reality has entirely changed I have the capability and support to make it a positive change although the underlying facts are negative. That's why sleep never truly came when the meeting dispersed and Rose was asleep on my side. Instead of sleep I decided to plan ahead, as I talked with Dr Goult about creating a large enough disturbance forcing the government to call an assembly. In the end we decided on a plan, but first we had to phone someone.
Not long has passed since then, yet staring out the window my mind is loud. When I close my eyes it isn't what I expect, it isn't the careful embrace of darkness but the haunting of memories. All from different people yet I understand they are me. Long gone the time they came as snippets, now it's like a crashing wave. I used to wonder to myself who I actually am. Who doesn't though. Does this make me similar to everyone, are we all one and the same. That seems dull though, mundane, rather depressing. "You need to wake Rose up" I hear Dr Goult ask me, "We are moving out". Turning around I walk over to her. To Rose. God she looks beautiful, crouching down I gently move a strand of hair out of her face as I feel her breath on my hand. Whispering softly "Rose, you need to wake up" I slowly see her eyes flutter as I grasp her hand in mine. "How long have I been out for?" she questions, barely above a whisper as her mouth stretches into a yawn. "A few hours, but we have to get moving, we have a plan." I reply. Feeling her lift up as she holds harder onto my hands we effortlessly fall into a hug. As I feel her embrace it makes me feel calm, secure and safe. "Let's get going everyone" Dr Goult announces as we all leave.
The journey isn't that long, multiple cars all in convoy. Having previously decided to all fit into the army cars to make it look less conspicuous to any satellite imagery but everyone knows there is only so much that can be done. "Are we sure this will get the attention of the government to cause a full assembly" a solider announces in the car. Perking up Will responds calmly "Yes, what more to cause a scene than to blow up the different army encampments. Are only task is to ensure they are empty, and to do that we currently have Mr Collin and his men travelling to them and rigging a small explosive nearby to attract all the attention. Then when it is confirmed the base is empty we will use the satellite system to destroy the bases." As he finishes speaking people go quiet remembering the news of that day, or for Rose being there. Her face filled with sorrow and rage. "How will we activate the system though, we are ages away from Transmission Prime and we still need to get in the building with the system." The same solider asks to which Dr Goult chuckles aloud. "Are we forgetting we have arguably the smartest man alive in the car with us" he finishes looking back at Will. "I know exactly what to do, I just need a computer" Will states.
Trying to filter through Jakes memories to find anything of any use I keep finding snippets. And that's when it came to me. Everything is connected, and I know the key to almost everything. It is also under a government firewall, which is easily bypassed from a computer of a high authority personnel, myself. Therefore we have to go back to my lab and get to my computer.
Looking up out the window I notice the trail we are on is the same one we left on to escape the soldiers currently escorting us. It was a good idea to escape satellite imagery however, there is one issue. It was a satellite of my design. Driving through the open entrance we go slow through the corridor to the car park, everyone's eyes peeled to bodies along the side of the walls. Yet Rose looks ahead. Parking up and walking to the elevator we head to the control room as I head to my computer. Finally reaching it I sit down, mind ablaze of thought as I announce "Let's begin."
