Sitting in the car, Karen remained silent. She was still processing what had just happened; she thought today's meeting would go smoothly, only to find it ending abruptly as soon as it started. All she wanted now was some quiet time to clear her head and sort things out from beginning to end.
"How long have they been divorced?" She suddenly turned to ask Jin Fengnan.
"For a while," Jin Fengnan actually didn't know the exact timeline of Lin Xilin and Lu Zuo's divorce; even if he had known earlier, he'd long forgotten. "Why do you ask?"
Karen pursed her lips. She felt that letting things end unclearly wouldn't solve anything—she still had questions for Lu Zuo.
"You go back first, I want to talk to him alone." Just as she was about to get out of the car, Jin Fengnan grabbed her arm, "You're not thinking of continuing things with him, right? You know what the consequences will be if our parents find out."
