The three people couldn't hear the rest of the conversation, as Berick had already walked out.
Outside, Berick's expression had changed: "Bob! What's going on!"
"No idea, sir. It's the insurance room, and I'm heading there with my team now."
"You better figure out what the hell is going on today." Berick ordered, "Find out exactly what happened, and shut off this damn alarm."
Ending the call, Berick's expression instantly shifted from icy cold to a cheerful smile. He returned inside and said, "No need to worry, gentlemen. Someone slacked off and forgot to notify everyone. The drill was supposed to be temporarily paused, but apparently, our communications officer overlooked it. It's all solved now."
As the alarm silenced, the three gave it no further thought.
After all, what kind of place was this?
Could this place really be invaded?
If even here could be infiltrated, where in America wouldn't be?
