Still, if March 7th had to admit it, she felt more happy than angry.
After all, she thought the same as Pei Guang: she didn't want such a cute girl to suffer.
She was already in the lead anyway, had already been confessed to, and had already given a response. How could she possibly lose?
If she lost now, she'd feel like finding a block of tofu and smashing herself into it: too embarrassing!
But Stelle actually suggested she fight that girl? One thing at a time.
March might act ditzy, but she understood plenty.
Still, seeing Stelle's mischievous expression, and having been influenced by Pei Guang, she turned to Firefly, who stood nearby clenching her fists nervously.
"Miss Firefly~ over here~ over here~"
"Me?"
Firefly pointed at herself. She could feel… killing intent? From March 7th?
That killing intent made Firefly's mind spin uncontrollably.
"She… also likes Ah Guang? She doesn't like me? Should I… go all-out?"
It was Firefly's first time experiencing such mental chaos, but her body obediently walked over.
If fate brings fortune, it's fortune. If it brings disaster, you can't dodge it. She might as well test March 7th's strength.
But as she approached, March 7th suddenly pulled her close and whispered: "See her? Yes—Stelle. That schemer! She wanted us to fight. I think we should join forces and teach her a lesson instead!"
"Teach… her?"
Firefly looked at Stelle.
At that moment, Stelle felt a chill and turned around—only to see March and Firefly looking at her suspiciously.
Feeling their eyes, Stelle instantly knew her plan failed.
She originally wanted to watch Pei Guang's love-battlefield unfold while eating hotpot and enjoying the drama. But who could've predicted these two would form an alliance?
Whatever! Was Stelle afraid?
Stelle smirked like a gremlin. She looked at March and Firefly and declared loudly, "Playtime's over. You two shouldn't be standing together."
Stelle silently stood up, pulling out a massive Belobog rye bread like a weapon. As she stood, Pei Guang noticed the situation and walked over.
Seeing Stelle brandishing bread, and the fierce auras around March and Firefly, Pei Guang felt an instinct activate, freshly engraved into his DNA.
Pei Guang slowly pulled out a green onion. "Stop here. You won't be hurt. Otherwise, you will die."
Firefly was originally happy to see him walk over, but that line made her expression gradually turn serious.
March 7th clenched her fists and snarled, "Ah Guang! Teach Stelle a lesson! Show her your power!"
Stelle: "Heh! Just Pei Guang? You think I'm scared of him? Today I'll send him on his way."
Stelle stuck out her tongue and licked the big rye bread from top to bottom, a cruel smile on her face as she swung the bread. "The omen of death approaches!"
Firefly, already dizzy from Pei Guang's antics, felt her head buzzing even more when she saw this. And then, she personally experienced what public execution meant.
Pei Guang took a bite of the green onion, glaring fiercely at Stelle. "Remember! It's me, Trailblazer Pei Guang, sending you on your final journey."
At that moment, flames ignited on the green onion.
As the green onion lit up, Pei Guang shouted his line with full momentum: "I will! Set the onion ablaze!"
The moment the onion caught fire, March 7th pointed her hand at Pei Guang. "Hmph~ stand still, let this lady bless you two."
A shield formed from Six-Phased Ice appeared around both Pei Guang and Stelle.
For March 7th, weird fights between these two were normal: in her eyes, if Pei Guang and Stelle weren't acting bizarre, then something was seriously wrong.
Seeing the shield and the burning onion, Stelle scoffed and flourished the bread skillfully. "Since that's how it is, don't blame me for being merciless. I shall set the seas ablaze!."
When Stelle said this, she winked at Pei Guang. Understanding her, Pei Guang helped light the bread.
At that moment, the bread in Stelle's hand was named "The Seas."
Pei Guang and Stelle faced each other seriously, each holding a burning onion and burning bread.
This battle was one of life and death. Neither of them knew how it suddenly became a life-and-death battle, but whatever—defeat first, ask later.
While the two were burning with fighting spirit, Firefly felt like her head was buzzing.
She truly felt regret. She shouldn't have shouted those lines in front of Pei Guang.
If she hadn't said them, Pei Guang and Stelle wouldn't have copied them. If they hadn't copied them, she wouldn't be getting publicly executed like this.
Public execution was already bad enough, but then she saw Himeko and Welt, who had just spoken with Pei Guang, already sitting on little stools watching the two kids fight.
March 7th had even taken out her camera to take pictures.
Her lines were about to become Pei Guang and Stelle's black history and be passed down forever.
Firefly made up her mind: she'd never say those lines again, even if she died.
While she was thinking this, Pei Guang and Stelle had finished building up and were about to start.
Pei Guang charged with the onion. Seeing this, Stelle took a deep breath and slashed at his onion with the bread.
It was a battle without suspense. Even with fire enchantment, an onion was still an onion. It was cut cleanly in half by the big rye bread.
Stelle: "Time to say goodbye."
Looking at the broken onion, Pei Guang felt intense sorrow. "Onion! I hadn't even finished eating you. You're really cruel. Looks like I need to use my trump card."
Pei Guang picked up the onion. Flames instantly burned it to ash.
He scattered the ashes into the air and assumed a flying-kick stance.
"Protocol authorized! Executing scorched-earth plan! Aaada~~~!"
Stelle and Pei Guang joyfully brawled.
And while the two happily beat each other senseless and Firefly overheated emotionally, Acheron silently watched.
Seeing this scene, Acheron felt even her peach didn't smell good anymore. She even wanted to draw her sword to regain sanity.
But just as she was about to, Welt suddenly spoke: "Don't worry. This is their everyday life. They're always this energetic."
Acheron: "You… don't think this is strange?"
Welt: "Strange? What's strange about it?"
That stopped Acheron.
Yeah… what was strange? Was it the battle with onion and rye bread? Or the two of them suddenly playing in the street?
Somehow… none of it seemed strange anymore.
