"I used my gift on nine different beast kings, one for each of my tails, but the extent of my control and influence on them depends on the beast's strength to resist me. The weakest I can control at will, but the strongest is the Lightning Wolf King, and my magic can only keep him in his territory.", Kynari explained.
"Kynari, would you be able to control one beast emperor from deep in the Beast Forest?", Ali asked. Beast emperors had beast kings under them and were very powerful and old beasts who had great control over their magic.
"A beast emperor, I have never seen one before, so I don't know, but if I use all my tails at once, then maybe…We would die if I fail though", she answered.
"Don't worry about that, I can guarantee you get out safe if anything happens since I will take you there and stay with you. It's decided then, for now prepare for it, soon I will take care of the beast kings and find an appropriate beast emperor. If all things work out, then we'll have it move closer to the camp and take over this territory", Ali said as he stood up.
"I understand, but why risk it for a beast emperor? The beast kings are doing their job well enough", she asked.
"Because it's not about just protection anymore, Kynari. You're the priestess of the only demi-human camp as far as we know, basically the last beacon of your kind. So it's time to explore your potential and use your gift to its full extent, train it even…", Ali said as he walked up to her and took her hand in his, making her blush.
"If it's too much…", Ali muttered slowly, holding her hand tighter with his warm hand.
Kynari shook her head with her fluffy ears rising up, "I want to help my people, they have suffered enough and I can't just sit here in this tent leaving their burden on you", she said confidently and looked him in the eyes.
Her charm worked subconsciously and Ali felt this pull to protect her, 'That's her charm, huh? It's making me see her as someone essential to me, someone to protect…It working on humans is quite dangerous and intriguing, why would it do this with a human who's a mortal enemy of her race…', Ali thought.
"Good girl", Ali said as he rubbed the top of her head, sending her mental into overdrive. She just stood there with her ears folded down and her tail wagging excitedly behind her, exposing her true feelings.
"Call the elders in", Ali raised his voice to the guards outside.
Immediately, the elders walked in. Their eyes went to the priestess who stood next to Ali with a deep flush they all noticed and were pleased to see.
"You called us, my lord?", an elder said.
"Yes, it's to inform you that you must accelerate construction right away. Start building homes in excess, expecting the arrival of hundreds, if not over a thousand, Demi-humans.", Ali said, surprising the elders and Kynari.
"Ali", Kynari saying his name with a closeness that the elders picked up on, "Where are they coming from? We do not have the manpower for this. All able hands are already at work", Kynari said, her hand brushing his.
"I'm going to the city of IronPeak. It's next on my conquest, and this city is the second largest trade hub in the dukedom. It is especially famous for its slave market, being the largest in the south of the Kingdom.", Ali said, and all the faces around him tensed up. They understood now what he meant.
"Ali, please save our people from that hell. You must, please, it is a pain no one should experience. I—no, we would do anything to break their chains and free them…", Kynari spoke first and held his right hand, holding it against her large breasts, letting him feel their softness. The elders nodded as they shared her determination.
"I was going to already, but now that you're offering…", Ali smirked and looked down at her with eyes that showed lust, ignoring the others in the tent. "When I take the city and free them all, I want to hear an answer from you", Ali said, and Kynari smiled, blushing and turning her head down before looking back up and nodding.
"Good, as for the workforce, then convert all guards, scouts, and warriors you still have into workers. Leave your security to me and Miles. You have to trust us completely if you want this camp to turn into a proper home for your people and thrive. Give the responsibility of your security to us and focus on building your future with your own hands.", Ali gave a small speech that resonated with the elders, who whispered to each other and nodded at Kynari.
"We follow your will, my lord", she said in human wording that made Ali shake his head and pat her head again.
"Oh, and I will be taking Liza with me into the city. I need her to help me fit in with the crowds and gather the information I need before I act", Ali said.
"You mean as your slave?", a female elder said with a hint of scorn and worry.
"Yes, but I will personally make sure she's unharmed or wronged in any way. I would destroy the city if I have to", Ali said coldly, and that made the elder sigh.
"My lord, I trust you, but you have to understand I raised that girl from a child since her parents passed away, and I know how reckless she can be with her easily excited nature. She'll bring trouble and danger onto herself and you", she added.
"She will be by my side at all times, don't worry", Ali replied, and the elder nodded, accepting it.
"Let's go outside. I have something to give you, and it wouldn't fit here", Ali told Kynari, who was surprised but nodded and followed him out to the centre of camp with the elders following and the people in the camp watching interested.
Ali raised his hand out and took something out of his inventory. A large green-scaled egg appeared before him and gently landed on the ground, shocking everyone around, as the demi-humans who were natural experts on beasts knew exactly what this was.
"The egg of a Storm eagle…", an elder said with shocked eyes and walked up to it with the other elders inspecting the egg.
"It's in great condition and about to hatch very soon. The signs of life are strong from within.", an elder said, checking the scales and the warmth of the egg and its general shape with great detail.
"Ali…", Kynari said, looking up at him and holding his arm. "I can't accept this. It's too valuable…You should keep it and raise it as your own.", she said, but immediately the elders turned around, flustered at her words.
"Priestess, it would be rude to turn down Lord Ali's gift. This egg will recognise you as its mother when it hatches and form an unbreakable connection with you. With it, you can start a bloodline of beasts that can protect us for generations", an elder explained. But Kynari gave him a disgusted look at his shameful greed.
"Kynari, it's yours from me to you as a gift, and what need do I have for an eagle, huh? I have dragons…", at his word, Eldora roared from above, shaking up the trees.
Kynari, looking up at the majestic animal, sighed, "You're right…Thank you, Ali, for everything and be careful, don't take too much risk in the human city.", she said with worry, as if Ali wasn't human himself.
'She looks at me like I'm demi-human now', Ali thought.
