Synopsis
Wake up and find yourself as Captain America in the Marvel universe! Captain America is the moral compass, the embodiment of justice, and a spiritual leader. But now… the system’s missions are absurdly abstract. Does dancing with female S.H.I.E.L.D. agents count as a reward? Fury stared in disbelief as he watched Captain America waltz across the nightclub floor with Black Widow, Hill, and other female agents the day after waking up. Could this be an imposter? Is this really Captain America? And then… are there rewards for being the captain of Hydra? “Believe me, long live Hydra!” Captain America shouted with an evil grin, reciting the classic slogan. Pierce watched in stunned silence, his fanatical younger brother now seemingly defected to Captain America, leaving him feeling utterly betrayed. ...... Author’s Note Hello, readers! Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: You Slept for Seventy Years and Still Ask Me for a Salary?

New York, S.H.I.E.L.D. Branch

A room had been converted into a 1940s-style setup. A radio broadcasted a baseball game on a solid wood table, and a ceiling fan slowly spun above.

On a single bed lay a muscular man, eyes slowly opening, a sense of unreality washing over him.

He listened to the radio and the gentle hum of the fan.

"Ding, system activation conditions met."

"Host scanning… memory allocation… reality extraction… character replacement… configuration complete."

"Replaced character is Captain America, Steve Rogers."

"Based on the host's previous experiences, the Slacking System is activated!"

Memories flooded his mind. The man on the bed clutched his head, overwhelmed. Captain America's memories merged with his own unpleasant memories of being a corporate slave before transmigration.

The Super Soldier Program selection. Throwing himself on a grenade. Transforming from a weakling to a hero after receiving the serum.

Leading the charge in World War II. Fighting Nazis. Finally crashing into an iceberg like a crow performing a flying kick.

The vivid memories revealed the truth: the original Steve had died in the iceberg. The current Captain America was merely a lucky transmigrator who had taken over his body.

"So… I'm Steve Rogers now?"

As a former corporate slave who still worked overtime before transmigration, he closed his eyes, then opened them, slowly realizing he had transmigrated.

He stood and looked in the mirror. His face was still his own—but his identity had changed to Captain America.

"Ding, prerequisite mission triggered. Complete the prerequisite mission to activate the system and receive a skill."

"As a workhorse in your previous life, you cannot be a workhorse in this life. Start slacking off! Find a high-ranking S.H.I.E.L.D. agent and go on a dinner date. (Gender not specified.)"

Wait… what?

Steve immediately refused. What kind of joke was this? If he was going to find someone, it would be a blonde with big waves! Who would go on a date with a man? Crazy!

Just then, the door opened.

Before him stood a tight-fitting uniform, a stunningly pretty face without makeup, with a hint of surprise softening her usually aloof demeanor.

Hill. S.H.I.E.L.D. Deputy Director. Level 9 Agent.

"Captain, you're awake?"

Steve stared blankly for a moment, then walked over and hugged her. "I'm sorry, Hill. I'm late. I still owe you our first date!"

Hill froze. "Captain… I'm not—"

"Come on! I'll take you out for a good meal!" Steve eagerly pulled her toward the door.

"Wait!" Hill tried to stop him, but he was already halfway out.

The truth revealed itself immediately. Outside, the room was high-tech, with surveillance cameras. Two burly security guards blocked the doorway. Their mission: stop anyone from passing.

Bang!

The two men, each weighing at least 160 pounds, were kicked flying, crashing into the hallway.

Passersby stopped in shock.

"Who is that? Causing trouble in the S.H.I.E.L.D. building?"

The moment Steve pulled Hill out, whispers spread.

"Oh my god! Isn't that Captain America?"

"Who is that? Let go of my goddess!"

"The Iceberg Director has a partner? Quick, tell everyone else!"

Hill glared. "Get back to work! Are you all too idle?!"

The gossiping staff scattered. Hill's reputation was second to none—disobedience wasn't an option.

Director's Office

One-eyed Nick Fury was reviewing mission progress when a call came in.

"What? Captain is awake? And he took Hill out on the street?"

Fury was stunned. Captain America had been asleep for seventy years—and now he'd taken the S.H.I.E.L.D. flower?

"Director, what do we do now? I'm on my way!" Coulson said, barely containing his excitement. He was Captain America's number one fan!

"Follow them for now. I'll be there." Fury rubbed his forehead. He had prepared for many contingencies, but this wasn't one of them.

At a Restaurant on the Street Corner

Steve pulled Hill to a seat, looking out at the neon-lit streets. Confusion and excitement mingled on his face.

"Have I been asleep for a long time?"

Hill glanced at their hands, still intertwined, her palm warm. Her first date—and it was with Captain America! "Seventy years."

"Seventy years?" Steve feigned shock, surveying the modern streets, cars, and technology.

"I'm sorry… I mistook you for someone else."

"It's fine," Hill said with a faint smile—but could he please let go of my hand?

"Have dinner with me, just to make up for the date I missed. Can you be my girlfriend temporarily?" Steve's expression softened, a hint of forlorn in his tone.

"I once fought tirelessly for my country, battling Nazis to protect innocent citizens. I never had a life of my own. If I've been asleep for seventy years, perhaps it's time I can finally retire."

Hill felt a stir in her heart. Perhaps it was respect for a World War II hero—or a flutter of something else. She pressed her lips together, a small smile in her eyes. "I'm willing."

"Thank you!" Steve smiled brightly, his natural aura making the smile even warmer.

Just as They Finished Ordering

A Black man sat across from Steve, his single eye fixed intently on him.

"Captain?"

"Hmm?" Steve glanced up.

"Phew… good, the target's emotions are stable," Fury thought. He hadn't sent Steve out immediately after digging him out of the ice.

"I'm Nick Fury, Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. Captain, it's 2008 now. You've been asleep for seventy years."

"I know. My girlfriend told me. So… are you here to settle my retirement and salary? Please!" Steve even poured him a cup of tea.

Fury was dumbfounded. After seventy years, the first thing he asks is about salary?

Coulson was equally stunned. Only Hill chuckled softly.

"Captain, are you alright?" Fury asked suspiciously. Could this be a fake?

But everything checked out—appearance, height, voice, blood. This was Captain America. No doubt about it.
