The last gangster looked at Ali with his whole body trembling, from feet up to his hands holding up the daggers. Then a switch flicked in his brain and he lunged towards the widow trying to jump out of the tavern.
UGH
His whole body froze just before touching the glass, suspended mid-air with no control over himself. "Where are you going?", Ali said mockingly as he pulled his index finger towards him and the gangster's body floated to him.
Ali turned to the cowering family of three with his deep black eyes staring down at them. "From today onwards there is new order in this part of the city", Ali said and the doors to the tavern opened up.
In came a flood of men with dirty rags over their heads. They were the homeless of the city, well former homeless now. Since Rook came in, he recruited every one of them with Ali's gold, and he armed them with smuggled weapons.
The men went straight to picking up the corpses and taking them outside. Ali still standing among them, he raised his hand slightly and threw a gold coin to the owner who caught it and looked down at the coin. On it he saw a dragon.
The owner's eyes widened and he looked back up to find Ali gone along with the gangster.
"Liza, wait in the alley for Rook who will tell you where we're staying tonight. Go rest for tonight and don't wait for me. I got work to do", Ali ordered and Liza didn't say anything back as Ali grabbed the gangster by the neck and disappeared in a flash.
'Maybe the outside world isn't worth it…Maybe what I had was more than enough…', she thought looking up at the night sky.
Twenty minutes later, inside the Slums of IronPeak and closer to the walls of the city, a warehouse stood surrounded by crates and thugs with swords at their waist and whores surrounding them offering their services for men who'd run through them more times than they could count.
"HEY", Inside the warehouse a loud shout grabbed the attention of the lazing men who perked up and looked up at the rails of the small office on the second level.
There, a muscular old man with a terrible scar that cut across his face and gave him a lisp stood angrily, "Gather all the boys, tell them to get in here quickly. Anyone late, I will kill them myself", he said, and all the men below scattered, rushing to the edges of their territory, shouting for their friends and comrades to rush back.
The boss of the gang, which was the second largest and one of the three ruling gangs, looked behind him with sweat covering his forehead and eyes that screamed fear. What could have frightened such a man to this extent?
"You said I'll live…", the gang leader said, kneeling on the ground with both hands together as if praying for a miracle tonight.
Before him, a masked man was sitting comfortably on the boss's throne, a gold coin flipping between his gloved fingers with incredible skill. One could see a dragon flash on the coin's face every time it flipped between Ali's fingers.
Then Ali flicked his hand, throwing the coin that flew with incredible speed and pierced the boss's forehead and exited through the back. The old gangster fell face first before Ali's feet, with blood oozing out of the hole in his head.
"BOSS, we're all here…", a man shouted from below as the eyes of more than sixty gangsters looked up at the railing, breathing heavily from the sprint back here and the anticipation in their hearts.
But who they saw grip the railing wasn't their boss but a gold mask and deep black eyes. They saw the man wrap his gloved fingers around the iron rail, and his other hand rose slowly before them. They didn't know why, but the atmosphere turned so heavy that none said a word, all just following the gloved hand above them.
"Force Crush", Ali said the two words, and….
SPLASH BREAK BLURGH AHHH UGH CRACK
An extremely grotesque and stomach-churning scene unfolded. Every single gangster, young and old, was thrown to the centre of the warehouse, where their bodies clumped together and tore apart in a second. Their torn body parts clamped together and formed a disgusting large sphere of human gore that spilled litres of blood below, but the blood also floated separately, forming another sphere.
Ali closed his hand more, and blood exploded out of the corpse and flew to the second sphere. Ali took out a huge metal container from his inventory and dropped all the blood in there before sending it back to his inventory. It was a testament to his strength too, since every item added to the inventory, the player must be able to carry it, whether using magic, technology, or personal strength.
The sphere of corpses fell down but instead of hitting the floor was swallowed by a deep shadow that had teeth…
"Onto the last one now…", Ali said, turning around to the one gangster he'd kept alive. His eyes were wide open, and his head was shaking from the shock of what he saw, but he couldn't say a single word unless Ali wanted to, his mouth closed shut.
Minutes later, Ali was floating mid-air over poorly constructed homes in the slum of the city, with the gangster floating next to him. "This is their base, huh? And they're the biggest gang in the city", Ali said as he turned to the gangster, who nodded. He made sure he said everything he knew truthfully when Ali asked anything.
CRACK
The gangster's body twisted horrifically, and suddenly his head started twisting around before detaching from the rest of the body. Blood exploded down onto a metal container floating just below it, the blood filling up.
Ali's eyes were on a stone building that had the banner of the city guards. 'So these guys are the big dogs around here. They're the ones that supply the slave market with the most slaves and the ones they rely on to steal from the caravans.', Ali thought, looking at the gangsters with armour below. They were patrolling around the garrison like they were actual city guards.
'So these guys just sold their slaves to the Slave master who has an auction tomorrow night. They're sitting on a big pile of coin since their last sale was an actual elf and apparently a noble one. They hit the caravan that the first gang I eliminated was targeting, stealing their hit. And the garrison's dungeons is where they used to hide the slaves…', Ali thought of some of the information he got out of the corpse next to him that was dried of its blood now.
Ali looked at his wrist that had burned him at two locations in the city now. "Twice near the slave market, twice near the church, and none everywhere else, even here…", Ali said to himself.
'I'm guessing one in the slave market could be the elf, and one in the church should be the paladin and Fiona's sister. Then one of the other two is the demonic activity, so either the church or the slave market has a demon or demon followers', Ali thought as he remembered how his wrist would suddenly switch in intensity in a moment as if switching from target to another.
