So annoying!
Orochimaru was indeed affected by Sasuke's verbal taunts, but she was still a powerful ninja. It wasn't just her strength—she had a strong mind too. Being provoked didn't mean she would just lose her temper.
She simply wanted to deal with Sasuke first. For her, changing targets wouldn't make her lose her reason.
She would dodge the attacks she needed to dodge, and she would never let go of the attacks she should make.
With Kaguya's powerful body and Orochimaru's knowledge of Ninjutsu, the five chakra nature types and all kinds of strange secret techniques were unleashed one after another, forcing Naruto and Sasuke to stay alert.
But here's the thing—
These two wouldn't fight you head-on. They would just annoy you. Purely annoy you.
They kept using all kinds of Ninjutsu to harass her. Naruto relied on his powerful sensing to dodge everything, then kept spamming Ninjutsu again. Sasuke was treating Amenotejikara like a teleport, throwing out Lightning Release, Fire Release, and more, mixed with Senjutsu chakra, driving Orochimaru up the wall.
Getting hit once wasn't a big deal—those attacks weren't that strong. But once you took the first hit, you'd get hit by the second, then the third, and before you knew it, you'd be worn down without landing even two counters.
Whose damn idea was this cursed Konohagakure-style Ninjutsu tactic? Orochimaru wanted to find them and give them a "buff."
Even worse, the Nine-Tails was standing nearby watching with a grin, occasionally jumping in to take a shot at her. But his defense was absurd—normal attacks did nothing, and if she used All-Killing Ash Bones or the Eighty Gods Vacuum Attack, Kurama would just dodge.
Sure, his body was big, but he was agile.
And the biggest problem was his oversized Truth-Seeking Orbs—big enough to block even her finishing moves.
"Sasuke, she's getting mad," Naruto laughed as he casually tossed a bunch of Tailed Beast Bombs at "Kaguya."
Sasuke used Amenotejikara to avoid the incoming Ash Bones, his tomoe Rinnegan glowing faintly. "Yeah, I can see the impatience on her face. Looks like we're really getting on her nerves."
"Should we turn it up a notch?" Naruto asked, throwing another round of Rasengan.
Sasuke nodded. "Sure."
A vein bulged on Orochimaru's forehead, and her red Rinne Sharingan glowed even brighter. "Have you two had enough? With our chakra reserves, we could keep this up for a month without a winner!"
"She's mad, she's mad," Naruto said, grinning.
Orochimaru: "…"
Do you not understand human language?
Sasuke smirked. "Back then, Grandpa Hagoromo and Grandpa Hamura fought Kaguya for three months to seal her. Small-scale Ninjutsu like this doesn't drain us much. We're ready to drag this out for three months if we have to. Don't worry—you won't get any breaks."
Orochimaru clenched her fists.
Were these two insane?
Three months… Orochimaru didn't know if the two of them could really last that long. She definitely could—Kaguya's body didn't need rest or recovery, and her chakra was practically infinite. But was it necessary? Three months of this? They were either crazy or stupid.
Orochimaru had plenty of complaints but couldn't even get them out. In the end, she could only glare at them and say, "I won't last three months. Even though I'm not familiar with all of Kaguya's jutsu, if this keeps up, I'll gradually learn how to use them from her consciousness."
Kaguya's consciousness wouldn't respond to Orochimaru since she was still asleep, but because Orochimaru had control of her body, she was constantly picking up all sorts of strange and terrifying techniques from Kaguya's mind—starting from the Eighty Gods Vacuum Attack to the All-Killing Ash Bones.
Although Orochimaru wouldn't take the initiative to wake Kaguya, at this rate, one day she would still learn everything Kaguya knew.
But to Orochimaru's surprise, Naruto just smiled and shook his head without hesitation. "It's fine. We're also getting used to your fighting style. By the time you really pull out a new ninjutsu, we'll already have what it takes to deal with it."
"I can let you hit me countless times, but you can only withstand a single blow from me," Orochimaru said in a low voice.
"Oh? Doesn't that make things more interesting?" Sasuke twirled his sword with a casual smile. "And don't forget, we also have a way to seal Kaguya. If you slip up, the one getting sealed might just be you."
Orochimaru clenched her fist.
She had no interest in dragging this fight on for three months with these two, and Sasuke wasn't wrong—yes, she could kill them both in one strike, but likewise, if they got the chance, they could seal her in a single move. After finally getting the strongest body, she had no intention of losing it to a seal right after a battle.
Thinking of this, Orochimaru halted her attack and looked at the two in front of her. "I request a pause."
Naruto and Sasuke both stopped moving. Naruto grinned at her. "What, thinking of surrendering?"
Orochimaru ignored Naruto's teasing and went straight to the point. "I won't use Infinite Tsukuyomi, and I won't attack the Hidden Leaf. I'm not Kaguya, so there's no real conflict between us. I promise I won't harm Konoha. Let's end this battle here. What do you say?"
To make Orochimaru lower her head like this… honestly, this Konoha ninjutsu really was impressive.
"No." Naruto shook his head without hesitation. "Kaguya can't exist in the ninja world. You can suppress her consciousness now, but that doesn't mean you'll always be able to. And who said we have no real conflict?"
"We just don't like you," Sasuke cut in. "And more importantly, you're not very trustworthy."
It was possible Orochimaru wouldn't attack Konoha, but once she gained Kaguya's full power, that could easily change.
Besides, after fighting this long, there was no such thing as making peace.
"That's true. I was just saying anyway." Orochimaru suddenly smiled coldly. "Since you're both standing still, the rest will be easy."
"Wha—" Naruto instinctively asked, but halfway through his words, his eyes went wide in disbelief.
The sky they were flying through suddenly changed into a layer of crimson rock. The air was now thick with the smell of sulfur and scorching heat. Flames distorted their vision, and everything around them seemed to be evaporating under the high temperature.
Sasuke stared at the surroundings in shock. The molten lava below looked far too real. "Genjutsu? No… this is… space-time ninjutsu!"
The purple tomoe Rinnegan spun in his eyes as Sasuke looked surprised. "You actually brought us here through direct teleportation?"
No warning, no marker. One moment they were talking, the next they were in a space filled with lava. The area was sealed on all sides, leaving no room to dodge.
Orochimaru sneered. "In a space like this, no matter how fast you are, it's pointless."
"Eighty Gods Air Strike!"
With their movement range restricted, Naruto and Sasuke exchanged a glance. Green chakra flared around Naruto's body as he instantly entered Sage of Six Paths Mode, while Sasuke's Rinnegan shone in full power and the power of the Karma mark erupted.
"Sage Art: Truth-Seeking Ball Rasengan!"
"Sage Art: Amaterasu Raikiri!"
