Chapter 406 - Chapter 406:  Dead Memories Suddenly Start Attacking Me

Above the Land of Iron, Kurama, who had been happily watching the fight, froze in place. He stared blankly in the direction where the three disappeared, not knowing what to do for a moment.

Only after a while did he suddenly realize—those two had been dragged into Kaguya's space.

That's bad, he didn't know any space-time ninjutsu.

Thinking of this, Kurama's eyes lit up. He quickly flew down and found Sakura watching from the ground. The moment he saw her, he shouted, "Sakura, where's Tobirama?"

Sakura, covered in dust, blinked at him. "Lord Tobirama went back to find Lady Mito and Aunt Kushina. Didn't you say that yourself?"

"Damn it!" Kurama had forgotten.

Sakura looked at him, then at the place where Sasuke and the others had vanished. After a moment of hesitation, she asked, "Kurama, did Naruto and Sasuke get taken away by space-time ninjutsu?"

After all, Kurama rushed down to look for Tobirama. Judging from the intensity of the battle earlier, it was clear he wasn't trying to fight—he was after Tobirama's space-time ninjutsu.

And if space-time ninjutsu was needed, then the enemy was probably using space-time ninjutsu too.

Kurama nodded and sighed. "I was too focused on watching the fight and forgot to warn Naruto and Sasuke about Kaguya's ability. She can drag herself and everyone nearby straight into her own space. Without space-time ninjutsu, there's no way to chase her."

In the original story, it was only thanks to Obito's Kamui that Sasuke was rescued from another dimension.

Speaking of which—where was Kakashi?

He said he didn't want to drag everyone down, then used Kamui to disappear. I thought he was holding back some big move, but it turns out he just used Kamui to slack off, huh?

As long as you don't fight, you won't take damage, and if you don't take damage, you won't drag anyone down, right?

Sakura could clearly tell Kurama wasn't in the best mood right now. Still, after hesitating for a long time, she nervously raised her hand. "Um, Kurama, I'm not sure if I should say this or not…"

"Then don't!" Kurama almost thought she was going to scold him, but after thinking again… he hadn't taught Naruto and Sasuke that phrase, so probably not. "Fine, just say it."

Sakura gave a polite smile and pointed in a direction. "Well, since Lord Tobirama isn't here, you could always ask Lord Minato to help."

Kurama turned his head in confusion—

And saw Minato standing not far away with an awkward smile.

Kurama: "..."

He had completely forgotten Minato was here too.

"Wait a second, weren't you under Orochimaru's control?" Kurama asked, staring at Minato suspiciously.

Minato stood among the rubble, looking embarrassed. Thanks to Tobirama's seal, he couldn't move at all. "I'm not sure either. It feels like Orochimaru's consciousness has already disappeared."

"Disappeared?" Kurama froze.

In theory, with Tobirama's seal there, Orochimaru's mind shouldn't have been able to escape. So it didn't escape—it really vanished?

"Why would that happen?" Kurama stepped closer, poked Minato's cheek with a finger, and asked, "Are you really Minato?"

"I am," Minato said helplessly. "Like I said, I don't know why either. But Orochimaru really did disappear. Even though the Edo Tensei binding on me still exists, the caster—Orochimaru—is gone. So the jutsu has no power over me now."

"But why?" Kurama's face was full of doubt.

Minato was speechless. Hadn't he just said he didn't know?

"I wasn't asking you. I was just voicing my doubts," Kurama replied, poking Minato again before giving a satisfied smile. "Besides, I can't undo Tobirama's sealing jutsu, so I still have to wait for him to come back."

Tobirama's techniques were no joke. Flying Thunder God, Edo Tensei, Eight Branches Technique… which one wasn't S-rank in difficulty? How could Kurama possibly undo them? No way.

"…Fine." Minato sighed as well.

He wanted to help too.

Sakura was standing nearby, listening to their conversation. Just as she was about to say something, she suddenly felt a strange wave of energy: "This is the Summoning Technique? Lady Katsuyu is summoning me?"

Kurama instinctively turned his head toward Sakura. "Probably to deliver some information. Which means Tobirama must have found Tsunade by now."

To be honest, it felt like this had taken too long. Shouldn't the Flying Thunder God just be a quick 'whoosh' to get there?

"Not sure what you're thinking, but the Flying Thunder God can't do a one-time long-distance transfer like that," Minato explained helplessly.

Kurama scratched his head. "Alright then."

While the two were talking,

Sakura hadn't been idle. She formed hand signs, slammed her palm on the ground, and with a burst of smoke, a slug the same size as Kurama suddenly appeared in front of them.

Sakura looked at it with surprise. "Lady Katsuyu."

She had originally meant to summon a small slug, just the size of a head, to pass on a message. But when she used the Summoning Technique, Katsuyu suddenly drew much more chakra from her, which resulted in a giant form instead.

"I'm not just here to deliver information, you know~" Katsuyu's eyestalks wiggled, her voice calm.

Just as Sakura was wondering, she saw Katsuyu's body suddenly start to tremble. With a shiver like a split, six figures separated from her body and landed on the ground. Chakra burst out, and powerful energy instantly filled the air.

"The Five Kage!" Sakura gasped, covering her mouth.

Not just the Five Kage—there was also… a Jinchuriki?

That commanding presence, the immense chakra, and the last one with a chakra far beyond any human—it had to be the Five Kage and a Jinchuriki.

Kurama bared his teeth at the six figures below. Recognizing a familiar chakra, he spoke directly: "You're late. The battlefield has already moved. And Bee, weren't you supposed to head to the Land of Iron?"

Bee looked up at Kurama, and the air instantly turned into rap mode. "Yo, my best friend, Gyuki's bro~"

Kurama froze… dead memories suddenly came back to haunt him.

Raikage A cast a glance at Bee without saying anything, then his eyes fell on the huge Kurama. His face instinctively grew wary. "The Nine-Tails?"

Oonoki narrowed his eyes. "Konoha is really bold, letting the Nine-Tails just run around like this."

Tsunade rolled her eyes but said nothing. Instead, she looked toward Sakura. "Sakura, what's the situation now? Where's the enemy?"

Gaara crossed his arms. "And where's Naruto?"

Terumi Mei covered her mouth. "Being summoned with the Summoning Technique… feels awful… I'm about to throw up…"

For a moment, all four other Kage turned their eyes toward Terumi Mei.

But Terumi Mei didn't care. She leaned on Katsuyu's body, turned around, and started retching toward the ground.

From now on, if anyone dares to say that the Summoning Technique feels the same as space–time ninjutsu transfer, Terumi Mei would be the first to jump up and smack them on the head.

This thing… was even worse than the Six-Tails' acid breath.
