The world twisted, light bent, and in the blink of an eye, all the students found themselves scattered across an alien landscape.
The air was thick with mana, and a deep hum vibrated through the soles of our boots as we landed in the Forest-Type Dungeon.
The stone beneath my feet was damp, veined with glowing moss that pulsed faintly like a heartbeat.
The air was thick, humid, and tinged with the scent of rot and mana. Which means it's an Artificial Dungeon, Not a Naturally Formed one .
As I was thinking and observing I see
Around me there are , several students stood , recovering from the teleportation & sock. Since it's their first time in a dungeon.
A group of three boys nearby turned to me, their eyes eager.
"Hey! Want to form a party?" one asked.
I didn't bother looking at him. My instincts had already kicked in.
I stepped past them without a word, adjusting the collar of my dark tunic and tightening the belt that held my rune-etched dagger.
Their words faded into silence as I walked toward the thick trees ahead.
"I can't waste time. The inheritance is somewhere deeper."
I am not here for babysitting kiddo's. Because I know about this dungeon.
This dungeon wasn't like the usual layered ones from stories. Instead, it was structured into zones Low-Rank Monster Area, Mid-Rank Monster Area, and the Boss Zone all coexisting on the same vast expanse.
It resembled a forest that stretched endlessly in every direction, and only the density of danger determined where you were.
"There's no floor system. Just regions. That means finding the hidden floor won't be easy… unless…"
Before I could think
A faint whizzing noise broke my train of thought.
Instinct roared in my ears. Thanks to my previous level ups.
Defense Rune I murmured and used and
A flash of light erupted before me as the rune sparked to life I used natural mana here. It took only 3 second to form a barrier.
A translucent barrier of mana shimmered into place just as a cluster of arrows slammed into it, deflecting harmlessly with metallic clangs.
My heart thudded not in panic, but focus. I am in a venerable postion I thought.
"Haste."
I whispered the rune, and my body surged with supernatural speed. The world slowed around me as I dashed behind a tree trunk, narrowly avoiding a second Wave of arrows.
I peeked out.
"Goblins," I muttered.
There were five of them , green-skinned, ugly little monsters armed with crude bows and short swords.
They laughed in shrill voices, already preparing another wave.
I knelt behind the tree, placing my palm against the earth. I could feel the ambient mana it was rich here.
I closed my eyes. Breathed in.
Mana swirled into me like water into a sponge.
" Ignite."
The rune flickered in my mind with symbol of flame and heat, a blazing red flame with pure bule mana Shows in my hand but it's not enough .
"Blast."
At this moment
I could feel the strain of combining two rune magics, but I managed it. In just thirty or forty seconds.
I paused.
"Wait… Only thirty to forty seconds?
That should've taken at least a minute… No
Is it because My Intelligence stat.
It's over 100 now.
So I'm officially my Other stars are at F+ Rank but intellegence is at E-rank."
Thanks to my Divine Skill human sage.
The mana spell formed in the air before me, dancing like a miniature sun. I hurled it toward the goblins.
BOOM! It's strong.. I thought.
Fire and force tore through the undergrowth, engulfing all five goblins instantly.
But I know Goblins hunt in pack of 15 so other might be in sock or hiding, but I was already moving. Another rune shimmered at my fingertips.
Light bullet.
A bolt of condensed mana shot through one of their skulls.
The goblins where terrified but I don't want to give them more chances so I used Light Bullet one after another to hit all the targets, since I don't want to engage in close combat right now .
I can't think about mana consumption now.
Few moments later .
Silence returned.
My breathing steadied as I took a break after killing them.
Ding 50 points
As I heard a notification 15 goblins give me 50 points only, but I can accept it since it's a week monster here.
Far above, inside the viewing room constructed for nobles, instructors, and other guests, a grand display crystal broadcasted the live events.
Gasps filled the chamber.
"He used multiple rune spells in less than a minute?"
"That's rune magic, right? That's not normal how it's hardest magic to master.
Many instructors where watching the performance of students.
On one screen, Rudra Witsmen who is moving like a thunderstorm incarnate. His white hair shimmered under the artificial sky, and his green eyes gleamed with bloodlust.
His broad shoulders, hardened body, and relentless mana output drew admiration and terror alike.
Lightning exploded from his palm, frying a multiple goblins.
A moment later, he conjured flames and torched a nest of poisonous snakes.
"Trash," he muttered, his voice low and cruel. "Human or monster… I'll erase anything in my path."
"Rudra Witsmen… impressive," murmured one elder.
On another screen,
Sawan Rosford who was already in middle Rank area danced through a pack of dire wolves. His crimson red hair trailed behind him like fire, and his eyes burned with ambition.
Heavy Sword in hand, he flowed like Berserker violent and deadly sword strikes.
Flames wrapped around his blade as he cleaved through wolf after wolf.
"I'll surpass everyone. I'll become number one… just wait, Adam Mars."
In a third section of the crystal,
Rayna sneered as she loosed a flurry of poisoned needles into another goblin horde. Her eyes sparkled with superiority, and her entourage of lackeys watched her work with worshipful expressions.
The nobles murmured.
"All of them… They're monsters."
But one screen stood out.
All nobles are in sock.
Austin Rosford.
The quiet boy. The unknown.
An elder shouted..
He'd used multiple high-level rune spells in less than a minute and decimated a squad of goblins alone.
Even King Evan Rosford leaned forward.
"...This boy. Who is he?"
Behind him, three legendary figures stood Joseph, Shela, and Jack Witsmen.
Shela smiled faintly.
"That's my disciple."
The king turned to her, eyes wide.
"He's… yours What?? I thought it was just a gossip..
Joseph stepped forward.
"He's more than that. He's different. Watch him closely, Your Majesty or I could say brother I am sure of it. "
"That boy might going shake this world."
Jack Witsmen folded his arms.
"So you actually picked someone when I here I was socked and Rudra's I thought he
going to lose his mind when he hears Shela picked someone else.
Especially someone better." but now I understand why you choose him.
But I have to do something about my son's behaviour.
The king turned back toward the crystal.
Austin, unaware of the attention, stood quietly, dusting his robe. Behind him there a 70+ corps are laid with burn Mark's blood spill everywhere . Huh goblins are mostly at level 5-6 they are much easy to kill .
Ding 360 point's
Then he turned eyes set toward the dense fog that marked the transition to the mid-rank monster zone.
Sawan, elsewhere in the dungeon, stood atop a stone outcrop, staring toward the deeper woods.
His flame-coated blade dripped with blood. His eyes narrowed.
I don't know what you're Adam mars but I won't let anyone surpass me."
Ding 600 points.
Rudra Witsmen stood on a hill of corpses human and monster alike because many students also got injured by him .
Blood dripped from his hands. He turned toward the crystal floating in the sky and smiled.
"Austin, huh? Shela's new toy? I'll destroy him. She should've picked me."
Ding ..560 points
The scene froze in the crystal.
And somewhere, deeper in the dungeon, hidden beneath a bed of mana-concealing runes, an ancient doorway shimmered faintlywaiting.
Waiting for the one who would claim the legacy of the Martial God.
