Valery took a sip of herbal tea. It wasn't sweet, but rather bitter, very bitter, not at all to Valery's liking. She resisted spitting it out and swallowed it immediately, her face wrinkling slightly as she consumed it.
Valery didn't have much of a problem eating human food. But when it came to things that were so bitter, it just wasn't good at all. She even detested human food.
Victor looked at her again and smiled.
Valery smiled as she felt her heart tighten. While Victor was still looking at her, she took a sip of tea and nodded, confirming that she liked it. Just then, Victor laughed and said something that almost made Valery spit the tea in his face.
"I know tea is bitter, you don't have to drink it, I know you don't like bitter things very much. I just wanted to confirm Stelle's words or not."
