After Kouhei spoke, the four of them glanced at one another, and then almost at the same time, they broke out into loud, mocking laughter that echoed in the air. Their voices overlapped, each one throwing their own jeers at him.
"Who the hell are you even trying to scare? We're not kids like you, Child of Anti-Prophecy!"
"Yeah, sure, you managed to pull that off once, but so what?! You really think you can repeat that? Don't make me laugh—that was nothing but a damn fluke!"
"You really love overestimating yourself, huh? What now? Just because you took down the son of one of the Great Houses' leaders and got him to favor you, you think that gives you the right to walk around with a big head?"
