Kouhei tilted his wings hard with one bat-like and blazing crimson and the other feathered and gray, slashing against the air to shift his body mid-flight.
His blade lashed out in the same breath— CLAAAANG!—deflecting one spear, SHIIIIING!—and cutting through another's energy blast, the sparks raining down like molten shards.
"Damn it, he's too fast!" one of them growled, pushing harder, but Kouhei's calm eyes didn't waver.
He closed the distance with a sudden burst of speed.
The air cracked as he shot forward with his wings snapping open like whips. His blade cut a clean line through the sky with the pressure alone forcing two of them back.
