Chapter 3 - A comfortable kidnapping

In a large metal room, all the candidates had been transported and were currently shaking or crying about their current situation.

Many shouts of why me or where are we you know the usual filler as Hector decided to try breaking down the only door and failing. Nancy's was shaking since she'd just been ripped away from her kids, while Wagner was wondering if he had taken the wrong pills.

The rest were madly looking around speechless, and Jack was no better having no idea what was going on or if he was dreaming.

It was five minutes of slowly descending panic until all they could do was wait for whatever was to come. What's to come came in the form of an 8ft armour lizard humanoid and scared the crap out of them.

After letting the screams go on for about 20 seconds, Cagra finally spoke and was translated into each of their languages.

"Greetings humans, do not be afraid I will cause you no harm. I will explain your current situation, and you will be given a meal before the start of the game"-Cagra

"Please follow me"-Cagra

Many didn't want to, but a glance from Cagra made them fall in line, and they went through a hallway that led to a cafeteria.

"This will be your last meal before you enter the game after that what you eat is up to your imagination"-Cagra

Soon, they were eating an orange-looking porridge that surprisingly tasted good. They each kept an eye on their new alien guide in case he decided to use those large claws.

After the fear and anxiety slowly fell, it was Jack decided to speak up and ask Cagra a question.

"So you aren't going to eat or kill us?"-Jack

"No, I'm not. That would be silly as you will be participating soon"-Cagra

Someone else got curious.

"In what?"-Wagner

"Don't worry, I will explain soon"-Cagra

After a few more minutes, they were then taken to an open space with small floating triangle-shaped cameras floating around.

There is a black square for each candidate, and they listen to Cagra as he tells them to step on the squares.

"These cameras will be what reveals the entire universe to you and all known lifeforms within the Galactic Union"-Cagra

"Now I will tell you all you need to know once the show starts, so forgive me if I add some flare for the audience"-Cagra

Many confused faces appeared as they didn't see how this was a show.

They wanted to ask questions, but soon, a small light turned on each of the cameras, and they started to move far faster than before. The cameras swept through the entire room, focusing on each person in there.

"Welcome all Galactic Union citizens and those beyond I am Cagra Venux this game organiser. With the help of the Overseers, let's make this game as brilliant as always"-Cagra

"Now let's begin you humans are the 10 candidates chosen from your planet to partake in the games. You will be taken to the game planet of Lundum Mundi in which you will be given the chance to create your race of beings"-Cagra

"They will fight on your behalf. You must choose what their weaknesses and strengths are while deciding what they will be skilled at"-Cagra

"Do we have a choice in this!"-Hector

"No"-Cagra

"Only one of you can win, and if your race is exterminated, you will die, so give your all as your life depends on it"-Cagra

Now, this caused them to shout again, but they couldn't get out of the square being stuck in place. Cagra didn't stop his speech.

"Let the glory of the great game of evolution give you the strength to be reborn into something far greater. Do not fret as the rewards for winning are truly grand"-Cagra

"Let the game begin!"-Cagra

One by one, each candidate was teleported the last being Jack, who could only stare at his kidnapper trying to get any information he could.

Jack was covered in light. The next thing he saw was an all-white room that was empty except for him.

Jack was alone, and before he could try walking around, he heard a voice in his head, which freaked him out.

[]Hello host, your designation is candidate 10. I am your system for the game[]

"How are you in my head right now? Where am I?"-Jack

[]You are in the personal space that each candidate gets. You can decorate and change it at will. You can eat, wear, or create whatever you want here. I suggest getting comfortable. You'll be in here for a while[]

"So you're some machine that I will be talking to in my head. While playing some game that's trying to kill me and get me to kill others"-Jack

[]Correct well done host[]

"Well, that's comforting"-Jack

[]Indeed host, so let's get to it[]

==================

Name:Jack Darwin

Age: 19

Home Planet:Earth

Candidate:10

Candidate Skills:0

Main race: 0

Minor race:0

==================

[]This is your system status screen showing you your basic information and the races and skills you have[]

"Very nice, so what I start with nothing?"-Jack

[]Incorrect host, this is the time for you to receive your 3 unique candidate skills here they are[]

Extreme cold resistance:

Gives all races 80% resistance to cold weather coming close to immunity.

Scent tracker:

Improves the race's sense of smell for tracking prey up to a certain point and time.

Tribal force:

Your races will all start as a tribe and increase the speed at which they are created.

[]These are your unique candidate skills[]

"Hmm, okay, they're all interesting, but the only one I want is the tribal skill, so can I get any more?"-Jack

[]Yes, host there is the option to take the skills you don't like and put them into pools of other rejected skills. All candidates can choose from as long as they've contributed a skill to the pool[]

"Okay, let's have a look. I'll trade those 2 skills. I don't find them all that intriguing the first can be useless if they're put in the desert, and the other skill seems kind of bland"-Jack

[]I must say host you're picking this up rather well many others are still arguing with their systems may I ask why?[]

"I don't know. I guess enough times passed for my fear to calm down, or maybe I'm bored and so directionless in life that this could be something interesting for me. Or I could just be bottling my emotions, and I'll soon explode"-Jack

[]An odd response but accepted either way have you chosen what skills you will choose from these choices[]

Blooded:

Gives a 15% attack bonus when seeing blood.

Shock fur:

Gives race fur that shocks opponents when touched.

Racial Matriarchy:

Women in candidate races are born stronger/faster/smarter than their male counterparts.

All for one:

Creates a hive mind that follows one creature in your race.

Star gazers:

Gives race access to astrology and gives a boost to priests and scientists.

Pride for the pack:

Increases race's trust and pride for each other in groups, increasing efficiency and loyalty and lowering the chance to break codes.

Mind game:

Increases intelligence and wisdom by 500% but weakens all other stats by 100%.

Fire fly:

Causes race to be hot heads who have short tempers and increase agility and affinities to fire.

Hidden figure:

Gives race the ability to blend in with their surroundings.

Hunters lifestyle:

Makes race better at being hunters and the lifestyle that comes with it.

Wings of wind:

Increases flight speed by 20%

"I thought you just said they're all arguing with their systems, yet they had time to add to the pool?"-Jack

[]They're kicking and screaming, but they're still going along with it host[]

"Wow ok well this sure is a lot, but for all I know, some people may have completely kept the original skills, but some do look cool like Star gazer or all for one"-Jack

"But they don't do what i want them to. I'm not going to lie. I'm basing my race on the yautja better known as a predator"-Jack

"Now I don't want to completely copy since I won't focus too much on the hunter stuff more on the civilization route they had, but I can't lie. They are cool, which was one of the main points"-Jack

"I'll trade Extreme cold resistance for the skill Pride of the pack"-Jack

[]Skills traded host anything else?[]

"I think I'll be going for a warrior-like civilization that is technologically advanced but isn't all brawn and can plan and strategies for battles"-Jack

"So, let's trade the scent tracker skills with the hunter lifestyle skill please"-Jack

[]Trade confirmed host is that all?[]

"Yep, it looks good to me. I'm winging this, so I can only hope, now do you give me an alien body or something to put these skills in?"-Jack

[]No host, you will design your main race yourself, but if it gets complicated, you can ask the game to do it for you, but it will come at a cost[]

"I'll give it a try"-Jack

A basic modelling screen appeared before Jack with multiple types of arms, legs,

fins, wings, eyes, and many more parts and pieces.

"Well crap I'm not smart enough to do this"-Jack

[]If needed, you can start with the basics host[]

"Okay, I want a mix of human and alien super hunter, so there's that maybe make them have a human-like body with sharp nails on their toes and fingers and they'll have thumbs of course"-Jack

"Give them scaley but soft skin, and more fangs for teeth but not too many. I still want them to be omnivores"-Jack

[]Would should they be host?[]

"I'd say have the first fangs be like human fangs with 2 on the top and bottom with the 4 extra fangs being next to them which would give them 8 in total while still having normal teeth in the front"-Jack

[]Okay, what about eyes host?[]

"Well have them facing forwards, and they only need 2 with a nose in-between. I'd lean towards the hunter type eyes and let them be any colour same with their skin and hair"-Jack

[]That's an oddity host. Why give them such variety won't that make them targets?[]

"I want them to have a lot of variety and unique looks but also for them to be a sign of danger. So that when a wave of colour charges forwards and slays all in their way"-Jack

[]This could cause racial discrimination against those who look different host[]

"I'm going to do my best to curve that through their society and culture, I want them to be strong but reasonable warriors. I want the best parts of humanity and the predators"-Jack

[]A bit arrogant to assume you know the best parts isn't it host?[]

"Not when I'm the one making these guys and depending on them for me to survive this crazy ass game"-Jack

[]So, from what I understand so far, you have colourful omnivores who are hunters who you will push towards civilization, am I correct?[]

"Yea, you pretty much got it"-Jack

[]A very strange choice host, but that will just make the game more interesting[]

"I'm loving your confidence"-Jack

[]Now, so far, you have the arms, legs, eyes, mouth, hands, feet, nose, and hair[]

"Oh yea, I want their heights to be around 5,5 feet to 8,5 feet tall so they can be both brawlers and assassin's"-Jack

"Also make the males and females equal biologically. I can't be bothered to deal with that crap like on earth. If they can both beat the hell out of each other, I'm sure they'll get along better"-Jack

[]I hope you're correct, host, so you're trying to go for unity instead of competition[]

"Yep if some of my guesses are right unity is the way while skills will cover for competition plus it's not like they'll be singing around a campfire they're still gonna fight and kill each other"-Jack

[]Host, you still have many things to add. Do you wish to continue?[]

"Nah, I've done the basics, and I think you know what I'm going for. Is there a negative for you doing the rest?"-Jack

[]Your race during the first 20 years will be weakened and have an increased chance of disabilities. After that, it will slowly lower until it's at its original state[]

"I'll take it. I'm no biologist, and I'm going to trust the super smart robot and hope their organs don't pop out of them if I do it"-Jack

[]Correct host and I'm not a robot that means slave I'm not a slave far from it[]

"Ok, sorry, it's the closest word i had for what you are, I'll just call you system"-Jack

[]Apology accepted I'm finishing up your race now you just need to give them a name[]

"I'm not very good at that, and I can't think of anything cool, so why not just use mine and add something at the end like rixis or ixis"-Jack

[]So you want to name your main race, Jackrixis?[]

"Yeah, that sounds good. Use that"-Jack

[]Here are some examples[]

In front of Jack, 10 beings appeared with different coloured hair, eyes, and soft scaly skin with a male and a female with basic clothing on.

They were small and tall and thin and thick, but all looked like deadly predators bathed in colours.

"Yep, I don't care what logic or reason says these guys are badass if I give them the right skills. I may just make it through this alive"-Jack

[]Indeed host, so are you ready for the game to begin?[]

"I hope so"-Jack
