Chapter 7 - The last day of the week

Well, it had been an interesting week for the Jackrixis as they fumbled and stumbled through the new world, some hunting while others explored.

But with that comes danger as sadly besides brute another rixis died when it followed a rodent up a tree. Only to be caught by a giant snake with scales like a rock.

That now left the population at 10, but overall, they seemed to get used to the life they lived quickly, which helped them get better at catching food and getting water.

"Well, it seems like overall, these guys will do okay. I mean, they've all found different species of animals they know they can eat and have found different water sources"-Jack

"Even the few in the desert have managed to use the environment to help them survive better, it's a good thing I traded that immunity skills"-Jack

"I can safely assume the hunter's lifestyle is at play here. I'm guessing once they can start breeding and teaching the young what they learned, things will start to pick up a bit"-Jack

"Now that I think about it, hey system"-Jack

[]Yes host?[]

"How many kids will the Jackrixis have? I didn't think of that. Kinda oversight on my end"-Jack

[]Well host it depends on the type of race and the biology but also many other factors that I won't bombard you with but safe to say the Jackrixis will normally have 3 to 4 children but can have more[]

"Well, that's pretty good as it increases competition and creates the hierarchies I want to form and gives a nice boost to population"-Jack

As for other things that happened to the little hunters during this time well the male and female hunters continued crossing paths.

The male usually kills something, then the female shows up, and then the male runs away, thinking his kill will be stolen.

What he didn't know was that the female didn't need to hunt at all, as the tree she lived under provided fruit and was home to multiple bugs and other creatures. Because her basic need was fulfilled, she didn't worry as much about survival, which led to the possibility of exploring other avenues of life.

This was how she began to follow the male without him ever knowing, only revealing herself when he killed some prey.

But it wasn't to steal it, no, it was because she enjoyed the game she made up when he did, which is when he ran away. She would wait a few seconds before trying to find him as quickly as possible while also not being spotted it became a good pass time.

Now, besides those little rascals, we had the stream hunter who had some trouble as it seemed other creatures, kept trying to get in her way or even steal her kills with some trying to bite the fish out of her mouth, which was a very bad move on said creature's part.

This led to her changing her strategy she thought that if they wanted fish, they would get it she decided to kill two fish and one she ate. The other she left, either floating in the water or on the side and when something came for free food, she would eat the other fish and whatever else tried eating it.

It would seem Hunter's lifestyle was doing more than Jack realized as he only chose it because of the species he was basing it off of.

But this skill proved amazing at pushing the survival of his race by leaps and bounds. As something that the blue female just did could take thousands of years to learn but the hunter's lifestyle. The fact that her race was sentient helped speed up the process by many bounds and help massively.

As for the Red rixis, we talked about briefly how he was currently under a palm tree in the shade. Just chilling it seemed like this desert, or at least the part he was in didn't have any crazy scorpions or sandworms, just some normal stuff like the regular Scorpions and spiders or lizards.

"So it seems I underestimated hunters lifestyle for the second time"-Jack

[]Yes, you did host, but so did the person who traded it for something else[]

"That's true. I mean, when it comes to the two, I traded, I don't think they are crazy important, or maybe it just more descriptive skills are better overall"-Jack

[]Perhaps[]

"So this is the last day before time dilation?"-Jack

[]Correct host[]

"It's strange that even though it was kinda boring but also thrilling at times, I'm kinda sad I will quickly be skipping the lives of my first group"-Jack

[]Well, that might not happen[]

"But I thought it speeds up to time if nothing important happens?"-Jack

[]Well for different times and periods, yes[]

"Can I get a little bit more of an explanation?"-Jack

[]Well at the start you will watch them fight beasts and have children and make tribes but in the future, so many monsters and babies will be made you won't have time to see them, and will make it less special[]

"Oh ok, so in the future, it will be more focused on, say, killing another tribe of monsters than a Jackrixis killing a fish"-Jack

[]Indeed like how you will watch them fight for their life but in the future, many will die every day so you won't watch it unless it's an important rixis[]

"Okay, so right now, the important thing is killing something making a group or having children. In the future, it would be taking over territory or making Allies"-Jack

[]Indeed it's as humans say, priorities change[]

"I just hope they can at least get together quickly since I don't know if the rixis have mating periods...do they system?"-Jack

[]Yes, after they turn 10, they gain sexual maturity and will find a mate, but they are like humans and will have children when they want to they do not have monthly or yearly mating sessions[]

"There's so much I need to know now it's crazy"-Jack
