Chapter 119 - Thor II

The nurse froze, staring at him like he was speaking nonsense. "I don't know what you're talking about. Just relax, sir."

Thor ripped the IV out of his arm, ignoring the sting. He swung his legs off the bed and stood, though his knees wobbled. "I will not 'relax.' You will take me to my hammer!"

The nurse backed toward the door, calling out, "Security!"

Almost instantly, two orderlies rushed in. One held his hands up, trying to calm him. "Sir, please—lie back down. You're injured."

"I am not injured!" Thor barked. He shoved the man away, surprising everyone with how strong he still was even in this weakened state. "You dare restrain me? I am the son of Odin!"

The other orderly tried to grab him from behind. Thor twisted, slammed him against the wall, then stumbled as his strength faltered. His body wasn't what it used to be, and the effort left him gasping.

The guards finally arrived—three men in hospital security uniforms. One raised a stun baton. "Alright, buddy. Back in the bed."

Thor's eyes narrowed. "You dare threaten me?"

He charged at them, roaring, but the baton crackled as it struck his side. For the first time in his life, the shock of mortal electricity dropped him to the ground. He groaned, muscles twitching, unable to move.

"Got him!" one guard shouted as the others grabbed his arms, dragging him back onto the bed. They strapped his wrists down to the rails, tightening the buckles.

Thor thrashed, but the restraints held. "Unhand me! You dare bind Thor Odinson? I will break these bonds and—"

"Yeah, sure you will," a guard muttered. "Let's get psych down here."

The nurse sighed, shaking her head as she scribbled on her clipboard. "Another crazy one who thinks he's a god…"

Thor glared at them all, fury burning in his eyes. "I am no madman! I am the God of Thunder! And I will reclaim my hammer!"

But his words only made them exchange uneasy looks. To them, he wasn't a god—just a strange, dangerous man talking nonsense.

And outside the hospital room, Jane Foster stood nervously with Darcy and Erik, waiting to be let in.

"Are you sure about this?" Erik whispered. "That man is unstable."

Jane bit her lip, her curiosity stronger than her fear. "Maybe. But… I saw something fall from the sky last night. And then he shows up right after? I think he's connected."

Darcy shrugged. "Connected, or just crazy. Either way, this is gonna be fun."

Thor lay strapped to the hospital bed, still fuming, his chest rising and falling hard with each breath. The nurses tried to calm him, but he ignored them, tugging against the restraints.

Outside the room, Jane argued with Erik."We can't just leave him here," she said. "He showed up out of nowhere right after the anomaly. He's connected, I know it."

Erik sighed, shaking his head. "Jane, he's clearly unstable. Did you see him? He thinks he's a god."

Darcy raised a hand. "Technically, he did throw two grown security guards around like action figures before they tasered him. Not normal."

Jane frowned. "Exactly. That's what I mean. There's something different about him. We need answers."

Inside, Thor shouted again. "You fools! Do you not understand? My hammer fell here as well—I must find it! Midgard is in danger if I cannot wield it!"

The nurse rolled her eyes. "Alright, that's enough. You need rest." She scribbled on her clipboard. "Psych evaluation in the morning."

Jane exchanged a look with Darcy and Erik. Finally, she muttered, "We're not going to get any answers if he stays here drugged and strapped down."

Erik's brow furrowed. "What are you suggesting?"

"Taking him with us."

Darcy blinked. "Wait—you want to steal the crazy space guy from the hospital?"

Jane crossed her arms. "Not steal. Just… check him out early."

That night, after some paperwork confusion and Darcy creating a distraction at the nurse's desk (by accidentally setting off the coffee machine and dropping files everywhere), Jane and Erik managed to sign Thor out "against medical advice."

Thor walked out with them, still unsteady on his legs but free of the restraints. His shirt was wrinkled, his hair a mess, but his eyes burned with determination.

"You have my thanks," he said firmly. "I do not belong in a cage. I must find Mjolnir."

Darcy stared at him. "Okay, first of all—bless you. Second, what's a Mew-Mew?"

Thor stopped, frowning down at her. "Mjolnir. My hammer. The weapon of the God of Thunder."

Darcy smirked. "Yeah, sure. Mew-Mew. Got it."

Erik rubbed his temple. "This is a mistake."

But Jane was already focused. "If his hammer really did fall, it has to be near the crater site we picked up last night. We'll take him there in the morning."

Thor nodded. "Good. Then you will see with your own eyes that I speak the truth."

The four of them climbed into Jane's van, Thor crammed awkwardly in the back seat. Darcy handed him a granola bar. "Here. Earth food. Don't choke."

Thor tore into it like he hadn't eaten in days, chewing fast.

Jane glanced at him in the rearview mirror. "You're not exactly what I expected from… whatever you are."

Thor swallowed and smirked faintly. "You will see soon enough, mortal. Once I reclaim Mjolnir, the truth will be undeniable."

Darcy leaned back. "If this guy really does pull some magic hammer from a crater, I'm quitting school and joining NASA."

Erik just muttered under his breath, "This is insane."

But Jane only tightened her grip on the wheel, her eyes full of curiosity.

Thor sat awkwardly at Jane's small place that night, his broad frame looking out of place in the modest living room. The walls were lined with books, maps, and research notes—half the space looked like an office.

Darcy dropped a plate of microwave pizza rolls in front of him. "Here. Human feast. Don't say I never did anything for you."

Thor picked one up, sniffed it, then bit into it without hesitation. He chewed, swallowed, then nodded in approval. "Strange food… but good."
