Chapter 159 - Avengers II

Alex leaned back slightly, his expression calm. "Even if we could reach the Sorcerer Supreme, we can't hope for their help right now. They're busy fighting… someone who can gulp down our entire Earth in a single bite."

Steve and Fury exchanged incredulous looks.

Alex noticed their reactions and said, "I'm not joking. His name is Dormammu. Think of him, in human terms, as a Dark Magic god. He owns a dimension of his own, and he's slowly expanding it—absorbing more and more worlds into it, ruling over them completely. And he's coming for this one next."

Steve swallowed hard. "You're telling me we're up against… a god who can devour our planet?"

Alex shook his head. "Not exactly. The Sorcerer Supreme has that responsibility, and the current Sorcerer Supreme is ancient—she has lived for many centuries. She is powerful and can stop him."

Fury crossed his arms. "How reliable is this Sorcerer Supreme?"

"More reliable than you bunch," Alex replied. "Who experimented on something they don't have any knowlege of now… we're on the verge of an alien invasion, thanks to the portal Loki can open with the Tesseract." He jabbed at Fury, but his expression didn't change.

Fury ignored the jab and asked, "Tell me—can you stop whatever Loki is planning or not?"

"As long as the other guy isn't wielding an Infinity Stone, I am invincible," Alex said.

Steve raised his brow. "How are you so confident?"

Alex looked at him, then suddenly snapped his fingers. The room was plunged into darkness—not ordinary darkness, but a deep, oppressive shadow that disoriented them. All their senses were dulled—sight, hearing, touch—everything was distorted and overwhelming.

"Alex, take it back!" Fury finally shouted.

The darkness receded, and their senses gradually returned.

"What… was that?" Steve panted, feeling as though the very air had pressed against him. Sweat dripped from his face.

Alex's eyes gleamed. "Once again, in human terms, I am the god of Darkness and Light. So yes… I am powerful enough to kill anything Loki might call."

This time, no one questioned him. Even Fury, who usually maintained absolute composure, felt the unsettling presence of a god standing before them.

"So, what do you do normally?" Steve asked, feeling the awkwardness of the moment.

"I run a clinic and work on many hospitals here and there," Alex said, glancing at Fury. "Do you want to know anything else?"

"Yes," Fury said. "You gave Widow her powers—can you give them to someone else?"

Alex nodded. "I can, though it depends on them—what kind of power they can handle," he explained.

"Then here," Fury said. "Steve gets one. With his Super Soldier Serum, plus whatever power he might gain, we can have a better chance against whatever Loki throws at us."

Hill stepped forward. "Me too," she said. "I want to help, not just handle logistics," she added. Alex nodded.

"Okay then," Alex said, "let's get a big empty room."

Fury nodded and led Alex and others towards the training room where they can get powers. Behind them, Steve and Hill trailed, walking side by side.

Steve leaned toward Hill and asked quietly, "he has thats much power, what if he....?" He didn't finish the thought, but Hill understood what he meant.

"Don't worry," she said. "He's not like that. He might have power, but at heart he's kind, though a bit of an playboy who chase after girls. Just don't get on his bad side—he once wiped out an entire organisation who threatened the people he cared about."

Steve nodded, reassured. "I'm glad he's on our side."

Hill added, "Yes, we're fortunate. Otherwise, we might have needed a whole strategy and army just to stand against him."

Steve nodded again, though a lingering sense of unease remained from the presence of the last demonstration Alex had shown of his powers.

Soon, they were in a large hall.

"Is this enough?" Fury asked Alex.

Alex nodded. "More than enough."

Alex stepped into the center of the room, and snapped his finger and then two blood-red magical circles had appeared on the floor. "Just stand in the center and drop a drop of your blood on it. Whatever is interested in you will appear," he instructed.

Both nodded as they walked and stood in the circles and then cutting their fingers they let blood drop on the circle.

As the drop of blood touched the circle, it flared bright red. From the edges of the magic, shapes began to emerge. In Steve's case, a towering figure appeared—a knight wielding a massive shield and great sword. He was twice as large as Steve.

Steve stepped back. "Alex… is this normal?"

"Yes," Alex said. "You're getting a partner—Its an Living Demonic Armor, shaped like a knight." The Knight knelt slightly and gestured to Steve.

Steve looke confused as he looked at Alex as he replied "Just extend your hand."

Steve obeyed, and as his hand touched the knight, the armor completely wrapped around him, forming a living shell of protection and strength.

"You can call it what you want—it will take whatever you have imagined into its form," Alex said. Steve nodded.

Then Alex turned to Hill, who had a butterfly-like demon. "Oh, this is a dream-eater, beautiful and powerful. It works with your mind. It can enter dreams, and even manipulate them, creating illusions if needed."

Hill held out her hands, and the demon slowly wrapped its wings around her, responding to her presence and bond.

"Now, just name them—they're yours permanently, or at least until you die," he said. Both Hill and Steve nodded, looking at their partners.

Steve looked at the towering knight before him and said, "I'll call you Aegis." The knight bowed slightly, its sword and shield gleaming as it accepted the name.

Hill smiled at her butterfly-like demon. "I'll name you Luma," she said softly. The creature fluttered its wings and circled her gracefully, responding to her voice.

Alex nodded approvingly. "Good. Now that the bond is sealed, you'll feel their presence, their strength, and their instincts. Treat them as an extension of yourself, and they'll fight alongside you in anything Loki throws at you."

"And you guys must have also gotten powers. So… what are they?"
