"Your Majesty!" The sudden shout broke the suffocating pressure, and Thorn had never been more grateful to see Elora's personal guards than he was now.

They dismounted from their horses and knelt on the ground before the bloodied Elora. "Punish us, your majesty, we have failed to protect you and let you come to harm," Naila muttered with her head lowered, waiting for Elora's response.

Lia's face was also lowered; she felt powerless, no matter how much she improved her strength—she couldn't even protect the queen, which forced the queen to always act on her own while she had them as her guards.

Elora looked at their kneeling figures with a frown. "Do you intend to disobey my command? Which part of everyone should disperse did you not understand? Get up!" she added, her tone tinged with irritation.

They quickly got to their feet, sensing the queen was in a bad mood and didn't want to upset her further.
