Chapter 184 - It’s too quiet.

The ground was soaked in crimson, flowing like a river ready to flood the town.

Carcasses of dead beasts were piled on the ground, and the souls that had fulfilled their purpose began fading and disappearing from sight.

The air reeked of blood, so the red hue made the full moon appear crimson, as if it were the season of red moons.

Elora was completely drenched, the edge of her clothes and hair dripping onto the ground, hiding her pale face.

She wobbled on her feet, completely exhausted. It was her willpower that kept her upright.

"Haa…I overdid it…" Elora gasped and turned toward the house in front when the air around her shifted slightly.

Before she could react, a sharp force pierced her stomach. The tearing pain jolted her senses, and she looked down to see a beast's horn embedded deep in her stomach.

"Cough…pfft…" Elora staggered, coughing up a mouthful of blood as the beast pulled out its horn.

Her vision blurred, and all she could make out was the shadow of the beast.
