Chapter 48 - CHAPTER : 47 : Unwanted Guest

Sakura Empire Territorial Waters

June 21, 1942

2:00 PM

Musashi and Lucas were heating up the battlefield as they both started firing at each other with their Main-guns. Lucas, with the help of his Aegis Combat System, made all of his shots hit their mark. But the 'THICC' armor of Musashi prevented any further damage; she only received damage at the superstructure.

Musashi fired her 18-inch Main Guns at Lucas; all the shots were missed. Some were intercepted by his RIM-116 Rolling Airframe Missile. Her targeting system was also being jammed; her Odachi could not aim properly at him. His Electronic Countermeasures did their job.

Lucas maintained his distance from her, Musashi's 18-inch Main Guns and Odachi were serious dangers. If one of those got him, it was over for him. Both of them had been exchanging blows for the past minute, their stances wavering as their stamina took a toll from the blows they threw and received.

Musashi panted heavily. "I... I can't believe you managed to... evade all... my attacks," She said, her breath ragged as she held her Odachi with two hands, and tiredness was catching up to her.

Lucas was also breathing heavily, his voice ragged. "Yeah.... I can't believe I managed it too.... This is the reason why I was created with endurance in mind."

"Let's finish it then..." Musashi said in a low but serious tone. She then dashed forward with all the strength she could muster in one single deadly slash.

Lucas was too tired to move; his speed became sluggish. But he still moved out of the way, then it was too late. Musashi managed to slash his tripod mast housing any of his various Communication Antennas and Radars.

"Shit!" That was the only word he could say as his tripod mast was cut down and fell into the ocean and sank.

Musashi fell to her knees as she lost all of her energy and strength in one desperate attack. She used her Odachi as a cane to keep herself from tumbling as she tried to get up.

Lucas still had some energy left and sailed towards her. He pointed Repulse's Sword at Musashi's neck as he looked down at her.

"I won... you wasted all your energy and strength in one single attack. I requested that you surrender," He said, panting.

Musashi clenched her fist as she looked him in the eye, dead serious. "Kill me... Kill me! .... Kill me..." she demanded, her tone of voice pleading.

She then started crying, her head hanging low as she looked down, tears falling from both of her eyes. "I'd rather die than live as a failure. I failed as Flagship of the Fleet! So, I deserve to die! Please kill me now...."

Lucas wasn't having any of that shit. He lowered Repulse's sword and slapped her hard to awaken her from her own delusion. Musashi held her right cheek where she was slapped. Lucas then prepared his knife-hand as his Gunnery Sgt. persona kicked in, and he started to berate her.

"I don't give a crap about dying because of failure! In the Marine Corp., you are not allowed to die without permission. And yet here you are asking me to kill you because you're a failure. You give up on life and continue to think that you're a failure, and because of that, you'll always be a failure. Surrender is not cowardice; it's just rational thinking. If you die here, who would tell your sister Yamato when she wakes up? You died because you're a failure. The People and Friends who put their trust in you! Live... live so that you could see them again."

Musashi cried even harder as she heard those words. She had been planning to die in this battle so that she could drag all the blame into her grave. But those words changed her.

"I-I surrender..." Musashi announced, tears swelling on her eyes.

Lucas then contacted all the Azur Lane combatants in the area. "All units, cease fire. I repeat. All units, cease fire. The enemy Flagship has surrendered."

This radio contact was being broadcast throughout the battlefield at Azur Lane radios. The fighting stopped as they heard Musashi's word of surrender. They were all listening to this broadcast as they were fighting.

"Wait! what?! Lady Musashi surrenders?!" Takao exclaimed in surprise as she was just fighting Cleveland and now she heard of Musashi's defeat.

Cleveland smiled and laughed. "Essex was right. He always pulls something stupid in every battle."

"What should we do now, Takao? Lady Musashi might need our assistance," Atago said as she sheathed her Katana.

Takao furrowed her brows as she sighed. "Let's go assist Lady Musashi. She might be having a hard time standing up right now." Takao and her sisters sailed towards Musashi's location.

"Okay ladies, let's assist Lucas," Cleveland said as she raised her M27 IAR.

"Copy that, Charlie," Columbia said while saluting as she teased her sister.

Cleveland frowned as she hated being called that name. "Could you please stop calling me Charlie? Come on." The Cleveland sisters then headed to both Lucas and Musashi's Location.

Unicorn landed next to Illustrious as her pet unicorn reverted back to its original size. Unicorn sailed towards her. "Big-sis Illustrious, are you alright?" She asked in her typical cute voice.

"Yes, Unicorn. I'm alright." Illustrious's clothes were half-burned, and her skin had some scratches and charcoal from the fire. She then head-patted Unicorn.

Hood was in a similar situation as Illustrious—burned clothes, a few scratches, and charcoal littered her face. "It seems he pulled off the impossible. I'm impressed, Sir Lucas," She commented on his resolve.

"That guy manages to defeat Lady Musashi.... I-Impossible," Hyuuga exclaimed as she looked at the defeated Musashi.

"His sword style was sloppy, but he still manages to win," Ise said as she was baffled at the outcome of the battle between the two.

Lucas reached out a hand to help Musashi stand up. The two were facing each other, Musashi a little taller than him. Lucas was only at her neck's height, facing her chest.

Before Lucas could say another word, his Aegis Radar detected an incoming projectile with maximum ballistic trajectory.

He pushed Musashi out of the way as he blocked the incoming threat with Repulse's sword. He couldn't get out of the way as he had also depleted his own strength in combating Musashi. As soon as he blocked the laser attack, Repulse's sword shattered from the explosion. The explosion sent a massive shockwave that threw everyone in the vicinity, including Lucas.

Lucas crashed onto the surface of the Ocean hard, leaving him unconscious. Hood, Illustrious, Unicorn, and the Cleveland sisters sprinted to his location.

Cleveland slapped his face multiple times to wake him up, but to no avail; he was out cold from the explosion. "Hey. Hey. Wake up, we need you!" She said as she slapped him again.

Unicorn was tearing up as she saw him unconscious; Illustrious comforted her. "It's alright... he'll be okay," She said with reassurance and comfort in her voice.

Hood contacted Wales about Lucas's situation. "Wales! Lucas is out... We're leaving the field."

"Understood," Wales said over the comms.

Ise, Hyuuga, and the Takao sisters went to Musashi's location to see if she was alright. Ise and Hyuuga supported her from both sides as they carried her to the safer zone.

Takao and her sisters provided cover as they moved Musashi out of danger. The remaining Sakuran Carriers provided cover as they retreated.

Azur Lane Shipgirls and Sakura Empire Shipgirls both looked in the same direction where the laser came from.

A White-Haired Girl wearing only a Small Amount of Clothing and Black Tentacles, her 8 Plasma Cannons still smoking from the shot she fired earlier. Her yellow eyes were fixated on the two factions below, looking at her with dread in their eyes. Her yellow eyes glowed menacingly as she showed no emotions.

"OBSERVER ALPHA!" One of the Shipgirls shouted.

Multiple purple portals appeared behind Observer α as she glanced down at the trembling Shipgirls in her presence. From the portals, Tester Clones came out in number, about 30, as Tester α came out last. She was followed by Executor-Class: Explorer III, Tracker III, Oceana Mark III, and Strategist Mark III.

As the Mass-Produced Siren Ships followed suit in the hundreds, dwarfing the combined numbers of Azur Lane and Sakura Empire.

"Oh, you've got to be shitting me!" Tennessee exclaimed.

"This is bad. Azur Lane and Sakura Empire forces have almost depleted their ammo; we need to retreat and regroup!" Wales then ordered the rest as they scrambled for immediate evacuation of their forces.

"Everyone. Fallback! Fallback!" Tennessee radioed all the Azur Lane Shipgirls in the area.

Observer α saw Akagi looking at her with an angry look on her face. Observer α only gave a smug smile as Akagi boiled in anger.

"What is the meaning of this, Observer!" Akagi shouted in anger. She believed that her Mass-Produced Siren Ship reinforcements would arrive. But she was wrong. The whole Siren Fleet only came to destroy both Azur Lane and Sakura Empire.

Observer α laughed. "You think giving you some Siren Tech is some sort of free gift? I'm only here to collect your payment, dear Akagi...."

Akagi gritted her teeth as she launched all her planes at her. "Damn you!"

Observer α shot down all her planes. "Really, Akagi??? Really??? You think you could win against me with those paper cut-outs of yours?"

Observer α insulted Akagi to the point of her losing herself in anger as she was furious at her words. "Why you!!!!!!!!!" Akagi was about to throw her red paper cut-outs.

But Observer α's Tentacles caught Akagi by the arm. Her tentacles then wrapped around Akagi's body tightly. Akagi could not escape as it got tighter in a second as she struggled.

"Akagi nee-sama!" Kaga tried to help her half-sister but couldn't. Her rigging was damaged, and she was bleeding heavily from the injuries she received from getting hit by a Naval Strike Missile.

"Kaga sempai...." All the Mutsukis were helping Kaga from not tumbling due to her injuries.

Akagi spoke as she slowly got choked by Observer α's tentacles. "Damn you, Observer. We have an agreement."

Observer α laughed, then got closer to Akagi's face. She grabbed her by the chin and whispered in her left ear. She then told her her true plan while maintaining her evil grin.

"Yes, we have an agreement, but... My real plan is to let the Sakura Empire build our ultimate weapon to eliminate every... bit ... of... humanity. I deeply thank you.... For building it. But!"

Observer α grabbed Akagi by her front hair. Akagi groaned in pain as her hair was being grabbed by her captor. "It seems like you broke it. And I couldn't have it now, so... you're going to pay for it with your life!"

"Damn you---" Before Akagi could yell back at her, Observer α's tentacles covered her mouth. Observer α laughed as she glared at Akagi's hopeless teary eyes; she liked watching her prey cry hopelessly; it was sweet candy to her.

Tester α grinned in satisfaction as she gave a little villain speech. "Azur Lane and Sakura Empire, this is the day that you all will die. So, I will give you time to say goodbye to your loved ones."

As soon as she in the middle of her villain speech, one of the Tester Clones blew its own head off without getting noticed.

"Who the hell fires when I'm still giving a speech?!" Tester α asked in anger as one of her clones was now a headless corpse.

All the shipgirls were looking at each other as they tried to search for who fired at the Elite-Siren. They all shifted their attention to a Purple-Haired Shipgirl from the Royal Navy carrying an FGM-148 Javelin as she quivered in fear.

It was Javelin who fired an FGM-148 Javelin at the Siren Clone. Javelin was shaking in fear as the Elite-Siren showed up. Because of her fear, she gripped the handle and the trigger of the Javelin Missile tightly. The FGM-148 Javelin locked onto the nearest target as it fired from its launcher and did a top attack, avoiding the detection of the Elite-Siren Clone.

"Did she just....?" Kongou said.

"Killed.... A Siren...." Wales added.

"HAHHAHA. One down, 29 heads to go. HAHAHA----" Purifier, as annoying as ever, tried to annoy Tester α even more. Observer α put an end to her loud mouth by shoving one of her 'Tentacles' into her mouth to shut her up.

"Why did I even bring this head anyway...." Observer α muttered to herself.

USS Enterprise CVN-80

The Super Carrier's Flight Deck was in coordinated chaos as the F/A-25 Hellcats and their MQ-28 Ghost Bat Drone Wingman were being armed with anti-ship Missiles like AGM-158C LRASM, Paveway Bombs, and Quicksink Bombs.

One E/A-18 Prowler headed to the battlefield to assist in jamming the Siren Fleet as it was escorted by other Hornets armed with AIM-260 JATMs.

Inside the Carrier's CIC, Queen Elizabeth, Warspite, and Langley conversed about their next plan of action.

"Laffey! Are you done resupplying?!" Enterprise-80 shouted over the comms with urgency.

Safe Zone

"Not yet. I'm only halfway through; the resupplying will take 10 more minutes.... Sorry Ma'am, I couldn't make it in time," She radioed, her voice hitched in irritation.

DDG-200 USS Laffey was moored besides USNS William McLean's port side as it was currently being refueled and rearmed. In the normal world, this process would take 10 to 20 minutes to reload one MK41 VLS Cell, but this was the world of mystery and physics-bending, so it would only take them 10 to 20 minutes to reload all VLS Cells. But it still depended on how many VLS Cells the Kansens carried.

"This is Essex. I'm heading to the Battlefield first," Essex-12 said over the comms as she rode her Osprey at fast speed. She was trying her best to reach the battlefield in time as the Manjuus onboard held on for dear life.

"Essex. I order you to give our Advance Force a window of time to retreat until our Main-Fleet arrives. Give them the Aerial support necessary to cover their retreat."

"Yes, Ma'am." Essex-12 then checked her gears and cocked her Mk-19 to check for any jam.

Enterprise-80's gaze shifted to the Queen. "Your Majesty, inform the Entire Fleet. We are going to move into combat."

"I've already contacted them. They will be on your deck any moment," Queen Elizabeth said in a childish yet reassuring voice.

"Bunker Hill, are the skies clear of any hostiles or any portals?" She inquired about the aerospace.

"Yes, Ma'am. There is no interference in the sky according to my Aegis Combat System. And there are no further surprises; it seems all the Sirens were accounted for," Bunker Hill-76 replied.

"Good. I don't want any portal popping up in front of us only to delay our movement," Enterprise-80 muttered.

"This is bad. The Executers are joining in!" Langley exclaimed as she watched the drone footage showing the numbers of Humanoid Sirens.

"Executer?" Enterprise-80 asked in confusion at the name 'Executor,' but she knew too well that the name meant danger.

Langley briefed her on the Executor Class. "The Executor Class sometimes acts as a Flagship to any Mass-Produced Siren Ships. But they are only active in the Southern Pacific, as there are Siren Bases there. Seeing all of them in one place is making our situation even more bleak. They often worked alone or in pairs, but not in groups."

Enterprise-80 suddenly pushed a button. "Bunker Hill, use your Prompt Strike Missile on these new faces."

"You mean those Sirens with red colors?"

"Yes!"

"Wait, are you going to use the same weapon that you used against Orochi?" the Three asked as Enterprise-80 slowly nodded her head.

"We can't risk the chance of endangering everyone; we need to act with precautions," She declared.

Essex-12's Osprey reached the battlefield; her F-35Bs blew some Siren Planes away as she was being intercepted. The Osprey she rode in hovered above; the rear ramp door opened. Essex-12, without waiting for any soft landing or entrance, jumped off the aircraft as she landed with a big splash of water surrounding her. Her Rigging Activated, and Aircraft were all launching for combat.

Her propulsion hummed as the turbine spun; bubbles came out of the cavitation as she moved forward. The Siren Ships in the vicinity did notice her entrance and started to engage her in Surface Combat. She retaliated back with her MK-19 and F-35Bs with Bombs and Missiles. Like in 'Hollywood,' the Siren Ships exploded like crazy. "Move out of the way!"

After the elimination of the hindrance in the way, she opened an open communication to everyone through their radio.

"This is Essex. Orders from Miss Enterprise to all Azur Lane and Sakura Empire forces, leave this area this instant! I repeat - orders from Miss Enterprise to all Azur Lane and Sakura Empire forces, leave this area this instant!"

"Everyone withdraw! Let's head to the Safe Zone!" Wales shouted. The injured Shipgirls got onboard Wales's Ship as they retreated to the Safe Zone. "All abled Ships provide cover for the withdrawal."

"Laffey, come on." Javelin grabbed Laffey-459's hands as they steamed towards Wale's Ship. They were given an order to withdraw from the area; the orders were urgent and frantic given the situation they were in.

Battleship HMS Prince of Wales carried the injured Royal Navy and Eagle Union Shipgirls, especially the injured Battleship ones. On its aft, huge plumes of water rose as the screws below turned and pushed the 44,000-ton Battleship at full speed.

~At the Deck of HMS Prince of Wales~

"I can't believe they showed up now; we just won against Sakura Empire forces," Wales exclaimed as she saw the Siren fleet getting smaller each minute passed while they sailed away.

"We need to hurry up," Illustrious looked down at the unconscious Lucas.

Lucas was laying on Illustrious's lap as she wiped his face with her handkerchief. "Sir. Lucas needs to be treated first so that he could join the battle soon," Unicorn hurriedly performed her healing skills as she tended to Lucas's injury, concern and dread blanketed her innocent face as she performed the healing.

Wales turned around and looked at them; she bore concern at Lucas's state. "Yeah, you're right, Illustrious. We need to hurry up."

Light Cruiser USS Cleveland carried mostly the injured Cruisers; they were now on high-speed to get away from the numerically superior enemy. Withdrawing, yet firing back, at the withdrawal of the fleet, they still maintained some suppressive fire at their hasty withdrawal. Light Cruisers provided anti-screen as they protected the fleeing damaged ships. The other Shipgirls used their Skills to destroy the incoming Siren planes that were conducting a bombing run.

Cleveland Sisters pointed their Rifles and Rigging Turrets up above and started hailing lead. The automatic fire of their issued Rifle and Mk-16 Naval Gun mixed together at shooting down the diving Siren Planes. If their situation wasn't that dire, their ammunition stock was depleting too fast.

"Don't let them get through!" Cleveland shouted through the comms.

"Right! Roger that!"

Light Carrier provided them with air cover as they withdrew to the designated Safe Zone. F4F Wildcats and Spitfires soared in the sky and protected the hastily withdrawing Ships below. Siren planes persisted in their chase, trying to break through the air defense, but only got intercepted by Essex's F-35Bs.

"This is all tiring.... I'm too tired..." Long Island whined to all the launching and recovering Planes.

"Better catch, THIS!" Bogue shouted as she threw a ball up; the baseball she threw materialized into an F4F Wildcat and resumed engaging a Siren Plane.

Hermes, like the Yo-Gi-Oh Character she was, drew her cards. "It's my turn! Eat my cards!" she threw her cards as they materialized into Spitfires.

~The stand-off~

Essex-12, JS Maya, and Lafayette were the ones left to face the numerically superior enemy, and with the power of imagination and plot armor, they would prevail. Alongside them were the Sakura Empire Shipgirls, who could not abandon Akagi as she was wrapped in Observer α's tentacles.

Essex-12, with all imagination and shenanigans coated with crack and MRE, engaged the numerically superior enemy in combat. She threw every wacky idea she could pull off to shoot down any Siren Planes; her Rocket Launcher took most of the flying threat, and her Mk-19 took the Surface Vessels.

"Damn, there's too many of them!" she exclaimed as she threw everything she had.

"Do you have to say it out loud!" Lafayette retorted as he too threw everything he had.

JS Maya pushed her limits even further; tired of battling off Akagi's Spirit Flame Dragon Karyuu and depleted with Anti-Ship Missiles, she pushed her Sword Skills even further as she engaged the Sirens with her Dual Wielding Katanas.

Up above the chaos whirling below, Observer α watched the Modern Kansens struggle to combat the numerically superior Siren Force, chin rested on her hand, legs were crossed, and bore a cynical grin on her face. She watched the chaos with ecstasy.

"My-My, I'd appreciate the bravery of you three," Observer α said in overconfidence.

"Let go of Akagi, this instant!" Takao shouted as she pointed her Katana at her. Their eyes met as they both stared at each other to show some strength in their words. Observer α let out a chuckle that turned into laughter.

Lafayette thought. 'Damn, she's scary; does she always have that samurai spirit in her? She's the kind of woman who would do 'Banzai' charge at the Sirens with a katana.'

Atago saw him staring at Takao like he was judging her looks. Atago gave a little hand wave at him and gave a bright smile.

Lafayette felt chills run under his skin and shivered in his bones as he saw Atago wave a hand at him. Lafayette was having a sense of danger as he stared back at her. "Oh. Shit."

"Let go Akagi, this instant!" Kaga's voice boomed over, her tone demanding, her gaze unwavering.

"Kaga sempai, you need to retreat. You need some treatment," Cruiser Maya told her senior, who was being grumpy after the injuries she received.

"No. I will not leave Akagi," Kaga remarked. As the Mutsuki sisters were helping her to stay standing with all of her injuries.

"Kaga sempai, please don't push yourself too much," Uzuki said as she teared up at Kaga's situation.

Kaga patted them. "It's alright, I can still---" She then coughed up blood, scaring the Mutsuki Sisters even more at her situation.

"She needs some first aid," JS Maya said as she sailed towards Kaga. She pulled out a first aid kit, and she injected a few first aid items at Kaga to temporarily stop her from bleeding.

"Ouch! What are you doing?!" Kaga exclaimed as she was surprised at her unexpected action.

"Listen here. If you want to live, take this first aid and stop complaining; you're making things worse," JS Maya schooled Kaga as she gave her an injection and first aid kit.

Kaga get humbled as there's nothing she can do about her condition, injured and bleeding.

"Are you done?" Observer α asked as she watched them above. She levitated in the air while wrapping her tentacles at Akagi.

"Umm.... No. Not yet!" Lafayette said, stuttering between words as he caught most of the attention. He also took the moment to give JS Maya time and everyone.

"Hmm... this one seems interesting," Tester α mused.

Purifier's head, loud as ever, boomed over after getting out of Observer α's grip. "Hahahahaha, hello little-boy, miss me?" even with only her head, she was still annoying.

Lafayette flinched at Purifier's head; not just him, everyone did, seeing Purifier's head dangling like a Tiki Head.

"She's alive," He exclaimed in surprise at seeing Purifier.

"My~My, what a brave little kid you are. You are not shaking and trembling in fear in front of a Siren Fleet," Observer α said as she eyed him.

"For fuck's sake! I've been surrounded by dangerous Women in Azur Lane Base, and you think your exposed ass and laser cannons would scare me? Not a chance!" Lafayette yelled, surprising everyone.

"He's out of line, but he's right," Essex-12 remarked.

Tester α laughed. "I can't believe you're showing so much bravery in that size." She mocked his 'size'.

"Now.... let's finish this nonsense chit-chat.... Shall we~?" Observer α said in a cheeky tone in her voice.

In this tense atmosphere, one of the Siren Carriers exploded as plumes of water rose up from beneath its hull. The Siren Carrier split in half in a sheer force of underwater explosion. Then the other three Siren Carriers exploded in unison; the same scene played at the other three Siren Carriers.

"Enemy Submarine attack!" Strategist Mark III shouted.

Underneath numerous Siren Ships, America's Next-Generation Submarine. The Advanced Sound-Absorbent Anechoic Tiles of the Submarine hindered its presence from being detected by the enemy sonars. Caught off-guard, the Sirens above scrambled for enemy submarine interception.

USS Denver SSN-856 rode her Submarine Rigging like an enlarged Diver Propulsion Vehicles (DPVs). At the bow of her Submarine, she fired more MK48 Heavy Weight Torpedoes underneath her prey's keel.

"Have some MK48's on you asses Siren Bitches. Yeah, get some. Get some," Denver-856 said as she fired another Torpedo under the Siren Carrier above.

She then contacted everyone above her. "Sorry for the wait Ladies, I'm late~," She said in a cheeky tone.

"Where the hell are you?! I looked like an idiot talking to that tentacle bitch!" Lafayette yelled over the comms; he just conversed in conversation with Observer α to give Denver a time to strike.

"Sorry. My bad, I kinda hung up and started listening to your conversation with her."

"You, What now?!" Lafayette yelled in anger.

"Ara~Ara, he's just trying to buy some time for their Submarine friend to strike, what a genius kid. I really wanted to hug him for thinking ahead of us," Atago said as she imagined him being hugged by her.

"Ma'am. I think there's only one Submarine that is firing at us—" before Strategist Mark III could finish her words, she was struck by a Hypersonic Missile.

Explorer III, Tracker III, and Oceana Mark III were also struck by Hypersonic Missiles. Only Oceana Mark III survived the attack, as she activated her force field. But her rigging was damaged even though her Force Field couldn't stop the full force of a Hypersonic Missile coming down at greater velocity.

Purifier managed to get off from Observer α's tentacles and spoke. "We are fucked! HAHAHAHA."

Veins of annoyance popped in Observer α's forehead as Purifier spouted some nonsense from her mouth. "Could you please shut the fuck up. For once! Once!"

"HAHAHA. No." Purifier annoyed her even more until she couldn't take it anymore. Observer α threw her head far away, like Team Rocket Blasting Off Again.

She then noticed a squadron of Hornets showing up above, as it was armed to the teeth. The Hornets above released all its payload of Bombs and Missiles. The Siren Ships lit up the whole sky with their Anti-Air gun flaks; some fired Anti-Air missiles. The Hornets released their counter measures and did a hard maneuver to avoid radar lock.

The Siren Ships' Anti-Air Guns were plenty but not very accurate. They were all hit one by one with AGM-158C LRASMs. The Cruiser Type Siren Ships were hit with Paveway Bombs, and the Battleship Type Siren Ships were hit by Quicksink bombs.

Although all of the Bombs and Missiles hit their mark, it was still no use as the Siren Ships were in Large Numbers; losing 10 or 20 was nothing to them.

Siren planes were being shot down by missiles as their missiles were useless in longer-range combat. The whole battle in the sky wasn't even called a battle but instead a massacre. All the Siren planes were just exploding and falling in numbers for no reason.

At the exploding smoke took everyone below in surprise, F/A-25 Hellcats and MQ-28 Ghost Bats emerged at the skies above, cutting the smoke and asserting their dominance with their roaring engines and sheer presence.

"Those aircraft?" Choukai pointed in the sky.

"Looks like the big boys are here to play," Essex-12 said. As she fired a HIMARS in her flight deck rigging.

"What do you mean by that?" Atago asked as she saw an F/A-25 Hellcat with a Cross Bone and Skull insignia on the body.

"The Grim reapers," JS Maya said as she looked at the aircraft above.

"Miss Enterprise VF-10s: The Grim Reapers," Lafayette elaborated. "The VF-10 Squadron was reactivated as the US Navy Super-Carriers grew in numbers and the lack of Fighter Squadrons. As a tribute, many of the squadrons were reactivated along with VF-10s. Many in the Higher-Ups in the US Navy thought it was a good tribute to bring back the VF-10's as a legacy."

Essex-12 added. "Uncle Sam is bringing back the Bad Boys together, as the word is heating up like a boiling pot that was left alone at the stove."

Kaga looked up as she watched the whole Siren planes getting destroyed in the air in quick succession. The F/A-25s took its place as the F-14 stepped down the position of US Navy Dominant Fighter of the sky; now, the F/A-25s were taking the position once held by the F-14.

"VF... 10's..." She muttered as she eyed the slick and angular aircraft above.

As the battle over the sky heated up, the battle underneath continued. Underwater explosions reverberated at the middle of the Siren Fleet; Siren Carriers were being targeted by an unknown predator lurking under the ocean like a shark looking at its feast.

Siren Ships, mostly Destroyers, scrambled to find this unknown attacker at the middle of the Fleet. Siren Destroyers formed an ASW Division to hunt down this sneaky Underwater Assassin that was targeting their valuable Ships.

Denver-856 only targeted the Siren Carriers while she was being hunted down by Siren Ships that were made for ASW. The Siren Ships that were dispatched to eliminate her were dropping depth charges to sink her.

"Really guys? Depth charges? Even the Iranians and North Koreans are better than this," Denver-856 exclaimed in frustration.

The most 'advanced' Alien species on this world was using a depth charge to sink a Submarine. It was like a joke in the face of the US Military Weapons, imagine showing up in the Middle East with your Iranian-made 'Stealth jet' and instantly getting clapped in the air with a 50+ year old airframe (F-15) that was cracked with 21st-century electronics.

Denver-856 dove deeper than the range of Depth Charge underwater explosion. She was currently at her normal diving depth as she conducted a strike above.

Another Armored Siren Ship was hit by a 2,000lbs bomb and exploded as the hull split in half within seconds.

The whole ocean was littered with Siren Ship debris that floated and leaking oil that burned at the surface that painted the horror of this battle that everyone imagined what WW3 would look like in the Pacific Theater.

Siren Carriers that were previously hit by MK48 Torpedoes were slowly sinking as the planes on deck slid and hit the surface of the ocean and exploded.

Siren Cruisers and Destroyers were destroyed beyond any recognition as the Paveway Bombs and AGM-158C LRASMs. Oil spilled surrounded the burning hulk and small explosions at the superstructure of the said Ships.

Siren Planes fell in the sky like falling meteorites as they burned and fell below. The whole sky was dominated by Modern Planes and Drones. Aerial Supremacy was achieved within minutes as soon as the 6th Generation Fighter Aircraft that was born in aerial dominance.

Tester Clones started shooting the F/A-18 Super Hornets and the F/A-25 Hellcats above in the air, but to no avail. They could only watch the whole Siren Fleet being preyed on by the Modern Aircraft.

Enterprise-80 and her lifetime in the Pacific was about gaining aerial Supremacy at the Western Pacific if War with China kicked in at the Pacific, and all the War Games and War Plans were put in use against the Sirens. The data experience of her Pilots were linked at their Aircraft, and most of them were Top Gun Graduates.

So that was the reason why all the Siren planes were all swatted like flies in the air as soon as the F/A-25 Hellcats and MQ-28 Ghost Bats entered the battle. BVR and Dog-fight were the specialty of Enterprise-80's VF-10's.

"Our targeting radars are being jammed," One of the Tester Clones exclaimed as her aim became sloppy against aerial targets.

"Our communications are being jammed," Another Tester Clone exclaimed as they couldn't communicate for a coordinated attack against Azur Lane.

"Shit!" Tester α cursed. "Observer, it looks like that sub is specifically targeting our Carriers to prevent us from gaining control of the sky!"

"I know... These Kansens have more knowledge of Modern Warfare than I thought. Especially in naval aviation..."

Tester α clenched her fist in frustration. "Damn it! They're targeting our Carriers via Submarine and starting to control the sky within minutes."

She then cooled down after releasing a tantrum. "What should we do then?"

Observer α looked at her, dead serious. "We wait for her."

"How?" Tester α asked her with doubt in her voice.

"She really likes to enter the fight when everything is in chaos," Observer α said as she maintained her calm posture at the fuck-ups she was witnessing.

Then another 4 Siren Carriers exploded as plumes of water rose up from the bottom of the hull and split the Carriers in half. The planes on deck were thrown into the water and exploded as their fuel tanks ruptured. Observer α just watch and waited for her to show-up.
