-----------------

The massive Golurk, wielding Thunder Punch and its gigantic halberd, unleashed a massive Electric-type energy slash with blinding speed and intensity.

In the blink of an eye, the energy wave crossed more than seven or eight meters, cleaving down directly toward the group of Team Rocket members and their Pokémon.

There was no question—this electrified slash, amplified by Golurk's immensely powerful physical strength and its Iron Fist ability, was absolutely devastating. Even if the damage were shared, it could still severely injure or outright kill the enemy.

(Note: Iron Fist increases the power of punching moves by 20%.)

The deadly strike came so suddenly that the Team Rocket members couldn't even recall their Pokémon in time. In a panic, they commanded their bodyguard Pokémon to use Protect, while hastily sending out Ground-type Pokémon to serve as shields in front.

At that moment, Sato had already released Swampert and hid behind it. For additional safety, he also had his Ditto—currently transformed into a Pelipper—use Protect.

BOOM—RUMBLE!!!

The moment the electric slash struck the first Team Rocket Pokémon, it detonated in a thunderous explosion, producing a storm of deafening thunderclaps.

Silver arcs of lightning snaked outward, surging toward every creature within range.

In an instant, the area occupied by Team Rocket became a hellscape of crackling lightning.

The electrified slash unleashed by the massive Golurk was as brief as it was brutal. After several seconds of furious discharge, it finally dissipated from energy exhaustion.

But the damage was already done.

Every Water-type Pokémon the Rocket members had released was knocked out by the attack. Even the Grass-type Pokémon—usually resistant to Electric-type moves—were left charred black by the violent surge.

Only the Ground-types fared better, having taken minimal damage.

Thanks to the shielding provided by their bodyguard Pokémon, the Team Rocket members themselves escaped without casualties. However, many of them looked visibly shaken, fear etched across their faces.

The giant Golurk, however, didn't slow its assault simply because its enemies were terrified.

Seeing that its attack hadn't completely wiped out the opposition, it suddenly gathered intense Fire-type energy in its weapon, and the blade burst into eerie black flames.

Clearly, this Golurk possessed intelligence—it noticed that all the Water-types were already down and immediately prepared to use Fire Punch to eliminate the remaining Grass-types.

Meanwhile, the ancient puppet Pokemon still standing on the battlefield began to move again under its command, charging toward the Team Rocket members like a pack of wild beasts.

"Don't just stand there—scatter! Sato, Vanna, Ailes, Rin—you four, with me! We're taking down that giant Golurk! Everyone else, hold off the ancient puppets—don't let them interfere!"

Tomoki finally showed a measure of authority as the commander. Seeing the Golurk and the puppet army preparing to attack, he barked coldly at the others.

"Garchomp, Nidoking, Nidoqueen—break the path ahead!"

With that, he charged forward behind his three Pokémon, taking the lead himself.

Garchomp, Nidoking, and Nidoqueen were his long-trained powerhouses—each of them was over level 60 and possessed exceptional talent.

As soon as Tomoki gave the order, Garchomp stomped the ground and launched into the air, beginning to fly in rapid arcs.

Dragon Pulse after Dragon Pulse shot from its mouth, relentlessly bombarding the black energy shield protecting the giant Golurk.

Under the onslaught, the shield trembled violently, its energy level dropping rapidly.

The towering Golurk, over ten meters tall, couldn't ignore the aerial assault from the comparatively small Garchomp.

It immediately halted its Fire Punch charge-up and redirected its shoulder-mounted cannons toward the sky.

In a flash, Shadow Balls—each a meter in diameter—launched like rapid-fire artillery from the twin cannons, forming a barrage aimed at the airborne Garchomp.

While Garchomp drew Golurk's fire, Nidoking and Nidoqueen advanced side-by-side, like two armored tanks. Using Ice Punch, they shattered the puppet Pokemon in their path and quickly approached Golurk.

Upon reaching the giant, they combined forces and used Earth Power to further weaken its shield.

The Rocket members were inspired by Tomoki's courage. Their morale rose sharply.

True to their reputation as elite recruits in this year's competition, they didn't need further orders. They quickly spread out and focused on attacking the puppet Pokemon, creating the best possible combat environment for the five strongest team members.

At the same time, Sato, Vanna, Ailes, and Rin sprang into action.

Vanna released her agile and enduring Sceptile and commanded it, alongside Kommo-o, to charge at the Golurk.

During the approach, the pair's Leaf Blade and Ice Punch tore through the Ground-type puppet Pokemon with ease, reducing them to heaps of scrap.

After closing the distance, Sceptile began a hit-and-run assault, circling the giant Golurk and unleashing Bullet Seed from all angles.

Kommo-o, a master of close-quarters combat, slipped into Golurk's blind spot and struck its shield repeatedly.

Ailes released his strongest Pokémon—Alakazam—and had it coordinate with Garchomp from the air, using Shadow Ball to pester the Golurk from another angle.

Though the Shadow Ball barrage from Golurk was dense, Alakazam's mastery of Teleport kept it safe and mobile, much like Kommo-o in the blind zone.

Rin didn't stay idle either, but she didn't send out her Salamence. Instead, she released a level 57 Bisharp and had it attack Golurk with powerful Dark-type moves.

With Tomoki, Vanna, Ailes, and Rin all launching a concerted assault, even a Golurk with Champion-tier strength found itself overwhelmed. Its black energy shield began to rapidly thin under the combined pressure.

Sato didn't send Swampert in immediately.

Instead, he released Krokorok and Crobat, and had his Kecleon—perched on his shoulder—use Role Play and Skill Swap to copy Krokorok's Moxie ability onto Swampert.

Then he had Crobat carry him into the air, while Swampert and Krokorok handled the puppet Pokemon on the ground.

Compared to Golurk, the sluggish puppets posed far less threat.

Even Krokorok, despite its lower level, was able to defeat a Golett with its agility and Dark-type moves—perfect against Ghost-types.

Swampert needed no introduction. With Foresight, it didn't even need to rely on type advantages. Using pure brute strength, Aqua Tail, and sheer fists, it obliterated any puppet in its way.

After Swampert defeated six puppet Pokemon in a row, the Moxie boosts stacked six times—its Attack stat hit the maximum.

A mighty aura surged from Swampert's body, reaching an absolute peak.

"Now! Shatter its shield—Earth Ice Hammer!"

Knowing the timing was right, Sato gave the command.

"Swammmmpert!!"

Swampert roared and leapt into the air, slamming its soil-colored, ice-wreathed fist down on the back of Golurk's shield.

CRACK!

With an earth-shaking impact, the empowered Earth Ice Hammer—amplified by six boosts—tore through Golurk's black shield like shattered glass.

But Swampert wasn't done.

Its punch continued through, smashing directly into Golurk's back.

In the next second, under the awed gazes of the Rocket members, Swampert knocked the towering Golurk flat onto the ground.
