Seizing the moment when the enemy's vision was blocked by the smoke, Sato, via telepathy, ordered Crobat—a Pokémon that didn't rely on sight to battle—to strike.
After taking the Mew Gene Enhancement Serum and having his IV ratings raised to Gold, Crobat had undergone a true metamorphosis. The Flying-type energy, which was part of his innate typing, was now as easy to manipulate as his own limbs.
Under Crobat's control, seven massive Air Cutters swiftly took form and accurately struck the enemy Pokémon.
In an instant, the enemy's Level 42 Scyther and Level 43 Victreebel fell to the ground, unable to battle.
Of the remaining five Pokémon, apart from Julio's Level 53 Dugtrio, the others, while not immediately fainting, were also heavily injured. Among them, Julio's Level 45 Aipom, who had protected him, was severely wounded.
However, the "gifts" Sato had prepared for this Black Cloud Poaching Group were far from over.
Nidoking slammed his hands onto the ground, and earthen-yellow energy pillars erupted from the earth—Earth Power.
Nidoking's mastery over Ground-type energy was now no less than Swampert's. Thus, he could accurately pinpoint the enemy's positions through the vibrations in the earth.
As a result, the earthen-yellow energy pillars formed by his Earth Power instantly engulfed all the remaining Black Cloud Poacher Groups' Pokémon that were still capable of fighting.
The base power of Earth Power was the same as Sludge Bomb, and it was also a move with a secondary effect. Enhanced by the Life Orb, the Sheer Force ability, and the Same-Type Attack Bonus, the power of this move skyrocketed to 228.
Caught off guard, the five remaining Pokémon of the Black Cloud Poaching Group let out cries of pain before falling to the ground one after another.
Nidoking's single Earth Power had achieved a pentakill.
However, as Pokémon hunters, Julio and his team clearly had more than just these few Pokémon.
Their combat instincts were sharp. Seeing their Pokémon defeated, they immediately retreated and dispersed with their personal guard Pokémon, ready to release other Pokémon to continue the fight.
Unfortunately, Sato had no intention of letting them use a war of attrition against him. In the wild, no rules forbade commanding Pokémon to attack Trainers directly.
One female member of the Black Cloud Poaching Group was just about to throw her PokéBall when a high-speed rolling sphere suddenly charged at her from the side. Her face instantly paled with fright.
Although she wanted her Level 37 Roselia to use Protect to block it, Roselia had already used Protect to defend against Nidoking's Earth Power earlier and couldn't use it again yet.
Left with no other options, her entire body was sent flying by the high-speed-rolling Whirlipede. She spat blood, fell to the ground, and lost consciousness.
Meanwhile, a similar scene was unfolding elsewhere.
After firing a Thunderbolt, Kecleon had used his innate ability to turn invisible again. Under Sato's direction, he quickly stealthily approached the Black Cloud Poaching Group.
Now, under Sato's command, he launched a surprise attack on a male member of the Black Cloud Poaching Group. His body turned yellow again, and a thick bolt of lightning shot out from him.
Caught completely off guard by Kecleon's sudden attack, the male poacher was struck by the Thunderbolt before he could react and instantly lost consciousness.
After the successful sneak attack, Kecleon ducked into a nearby patch of grass and turned invisible again using his innate ability. In just a few seconds, two members of the Black Cloud Poaching Group had fallen, their conditions unknown.
Apart from Julio, the remaining poachers felt a chill run down their spines. When they looked at Sato again, besides anger, there was more fear in their eyes.
They now realized that the person they had provoked was no ordinary lone traveler, but a fierce and formidable foe.
As for those hiding nearby, ready to watch the show, their expressions turned grave. When they looked at Sato, their eyes held strong apprehension.
Many secretly decided then and there to avoid this lone wolf, Sato, as much as possible in the upcoming competition for the prize.
After all, Sato's enemies were the notoriously infamous Black Cloud Poaching Group, and he was fighting one against six. Yet, in such an unfavorable situation, he had instantly taken down two of them. This was definitely not something just anyone could accomplish casually.
Instantly, many Trainers participating in the fight for the Altaria egg labeled Sato as a dangerous individual, categorizing him as the highest level of threat.
"Don't be afraid, he's just one person. Follow me!"
"Come out, Haxorus! Use Dragon Claw!"
Seeing Sato take down two of his subordinates so quickly, Julio was furious. He immediately released his strongest Pokémon, Haxorus, and commanded it to launch a fierce assault on Sato's Nidoking.
"Come out, Houndoom! Use Odor Sleuth, find that damned Kecleon!"
"I'll handle that Whirlipede. Ninjask, hunt it down! Use Aerial Ace!"
"Onix, assist Haxorus! Use Double-Edge on Nidoking!"
The remaining three Black Cloud Poaching Group, seeing Julio release his Haxorus, felt their morale boost. They then coordinated, commanding their Pokémon to attack Sato's team.
Julio forcefully threw his PokéBall, and it landed accurately on the ground about five or six meters to Nidoking's left. Immediately, a Haxorus exuding a powerful aura appeared in everyone's sight.
"ROAR!!!"
The moment Haxorus emerged, it locked its gaze onto Nidoking. Instantly, its Mold Breaker ability activated. With a loud roar, it charged at Nidoking, claws brimming with Dragon-type energy.
Meanwhile, Houndoom, Ninjask, and Onix also appeared on the battlefield.
The first two immediately followed their Trainers' orders to pursue Kecleon and Whirlipede, while the Rock Head Onix burrowed into the ground and vanished from the surface.
"What a fine Haxorus! Nidoking, go measure yourself against him! Use Ice Punch!"
Seeing that Julio had released a Level 58 Haxorus with impressively high IVs (Total: 169), Sato's eyes lit up, his own fighting spirit igniting. He immediately commanded Nidoking, whose own burning fighting spirit had been stirred by Haxorus, to meet the challenge head-on.
"ROAR!!!"
Nidoking also roared excitedly. He charged forward on his sturdy legs, meeting the opponent's Dragon Claw head-on with a fist radiating astonishing cold.
In the next second, the two Pokémon were locked in a fierce brawl.
Haxorus's Dragon Claw left fierce gashes on Nidoking's body, while Nidoking's Ice Punch left blue-frosted fist marks all over Haxorus.
However, Nidoking was using Ice Punch, which was super effective against Haxorus. Combined with the boosts from the Life Orb and Sheer Force, his Ice Punch was incredibly powerful. Haxorus soon found itself at a disadvantage in this close-quarters fight.
Just as the two Pokémon were fiercely engaged, the ground behind Nidoking cracked open, and an Onix emerged, slamming its rocky head hard into Nidoking's back.
Unfortunately, before Onix's attack could connect, the sturdy, thick tail behind Nidoking gleamed with a metallic sheen and whipped out like lightning, striking Onix's rocky head.
Instantly, Onix's head was covered in cracks, and its entire body was sent flying by Nidoking's powerful, devastating Iron Tail. It crashed to the ground, unable to battle.
But because Onix had distracted Nidoking, Haxorus, who had been on the back foot, immediately seized the chance to counterattack, striking Nidoking hard with an Aqua Tail and severely wounding him.
Just as Haxorus prepared to press its advantage, a purple shadow descended from the sky. Immediately, a cross-shaped purple scar appeared on its back, and it too fell to the ground, defeated.
