Lucas recalled the plot, the characters, and his own role in the story.
And as he did so, a chill ran down his spine. He suddenly remembered why the name Lucas Morningstar felt familiar.
He was Lucas Morningstar, the third rate villain who served as a stepping stone for Elijah's growth. The one who's fiancee, Aurora the main heroine of the story would be stolen by the hero. The one who succumbed to darkness and despair ultimately dying pathetically.
"No, no, no...." Lucas whispered dismayed. How could this be?
He Adam Davis, had lived a life of survival and resilience. Now he was relegated to a minor role in someone else's story?
Kyrah, mistaking his distress, offered comfort.
"Young Master Lucas, don't worry. You will recover soon."
Lucas forced a smile, hiding his turmoil.
"I'm fine Kyrah. Just... tired. I need some time to think alone pls."
Kyrah show an understanding expression and stood up to take her leave.
As Kyrah departed, Lucas' thoughts spiraled. He recalled the story's progression: his rivalry with Elijah, his eventual defeat and his descent into darkness and eventually his pathetic death.
