"You two, take these Meteorites for immediate testing."

"Additionally, reassign half of the staff to repeat the experimental research we just conducted on Jirachi, but this time change the target to Deoxys."

Chris, who had just Teleported to the center of the Laboratory, retrieved a Poké Ball and released its occupant.

In a brilliant flash of light, Deoxys materialized in the center of the Laboratory.

The Deoxys that had been critically injured just a minute ago now appeared alive and completely healthy. Chris couldn't help but marvel at how the game system truly defied all logic and reason.

The researchers throughout the entire Laboratory suddenly froze, their eyes widening in disbelief, as if they had been hit by a status move that immobilized them completely.

"What's wrong with all of you? Get moving!" Chris produced two Meteorites seemingly out of thin air and held them up.

"Right away, right away!" The group of researchers snapped out of their stupor and hurried forward.

However, they seemed uncertain about what to do first, moving about like a group of startled Torchic without direction.

Even though the Meteorites were only fist-sized objects, more than a dozen people rushed forward to examine them together. Meanwhile, dozens more surrounded Deoxys, simply staring at it in awe without taking any action, as though they had been placed under some kind of spell.

"You two go test the ore samples. The Aolat team will install monitoring equipment on Deoxys, and the Kubo team needs to prepare the experimental area. Everyone, get to your assigned tasks!" At this critical moment, Theodore stepped forward, organizing everyone one by one and issuing clear instructions.

The entire research operation began functioning in an orderly manner again—or more accurately, it began operating with exceptional efficiency.

Being able to study Jirachi was already a once-in-a-millennium opportunity, and now they also had the chance to study Deoxys.

This trip to China was absolutely the right decision!

"Chris, did you just travel to outer space?" Professor Vladimir approached and asked.

His question expressed what all the researchers were thinking, and everyone listened intently for Chris's answer.

Deoxys was a famous Pokémon originating from the cosmos. Throughout history from ancient times to the present, there had only been two recorded instances of Deoxys arriving on Earth from space, making it even rarer than Jirachi.

The critical point was that there hadn't been any reports of Meteorite impacts recently, nor had there been any news of extraterrestrial visitors.

Yet somehow, Chris had gone out for a brief trip, and within just a few hours, he had returned carrying two Meteorites and had even captured a Deoxys.

Everyone knew from historical records that Deoxys possessed combat power comparable to other Legendary Pokémon.

Just how powerful would someone have to be to locate and capture Deoxys within a matter of hours?

Was this truly the Champion of China, the youngest and strongest Champion in recorded history?

Incredible! Absolutely incredible!

"No, I simply remembered some information about Deoxys and followed the clues to locate it," Chris replied quickly, waving his hands dismissively. He had no intention of explaining the details in depth. "Deoxys is a relatively powerful Pokémon from space. Let's examine whether it possesses any abilities that might help Jirachi."

Vladimir didn't press the matter further and hurried off to oversee the testing procedures.

With the equipment already prepared and the experience gained from the initial detection process, this round of testing proceeded much faster than before.

Two hours later, Theodore approached Chris with a detailed report.

Deoxys possessed the same "cosmic energy" as Jirachi and other Pokémon originating from outer space. Additionally, the colorful energy spheres that formed when Deoxys used its signature move "Psycho Boost" also contained abundant "cosmic energy."

If they could successfully separate the cosmic energy from the psychic force within the Energy Ball created by Psycho Boost, then this portion of cosmic energy could potentially be extracted as pure "energy" that might help sustain Jirachi.

"How long would it take to construct an energy separation device?" Chris asked urgently. There were less than three days remaining before Jirachi would return to its sleeping cocoon.

If it was simply entering a dormant state, that would be manageable. They could inject cosmic energy afterward, and Jirachi should recover quickly. However, if Jirachi transformed into a shooting star and departed directly for space as recorded in anime folklore and historical documents, then they would have a serious problem.

"I honestly don't know," Theodore admitted, shaking her head.

The existence of cosmic energy had only just been confirmed, and research into this energy system was still in its infancy. It was difficult to estimate when they could manufacture both a proper containment vessel and an extraction device.

"That's..." Chris frowned in frustration. Would capturing Deoxys turn out to be pointless after all?

At that moment, Professor Vladimir emerged from the Meteorite research laboratory, carrying a report in his hand.

"Good news! The analysis of the Meteorites has been completed. These two Meteorite samples are fundamentally different from ordinary meteorites—they're high-density aggregates of cosmic energy."

"High-density aggregates?" Chris's eyes widened, and he quickly took the report to examine it carefully.

"That's correct. If Jirachi possesses the ability to absorb energy directly, it should be able to replenish itself immediately through contact with these Meteorites," Vladimir explained.

"Excellent! Let's test it right away!" Chris jumped to his feet. "Gardevoir, Teleport and bring Jirachi here!"

Gardevoir immediately activated its psychic powers and transported Jirachi from the villa.

It was already late at night, and Jirachi, Togepi, and Wobbuffet had all been sound asleep. When they suddenly Teleported to the Laboratory, they appeared bleary-eyed and confused.

"Is it morning already?" Jirachi yawned widely and floated toward the laboratory area, ready to begin today's "work."

Chris quickly intercepted the drowsy Wish Pokémon. "Wait, Jirachi! Come here and try absorbing the energy from this Meteorite and tell me what happens."

"Huh?" Jirachi looked at the Meteorite with confusion but obediently followed Chris's instructions, grasping the Meteorite and attempting to absorb its energy.

Seven-colored light began to flicker around Jirachi, and its energy levels visibly improved right before everyone's eyes.

Chris quickly opened Jirachi's status panel to monitor the changes.

The countdown timer at the bottom was still present, but it was no longer decreasing.

[Note: When cosmic energy is completely depleted, will transform into a sleeping cocoon and return to space. Countdown: 3 days, 20 hours, 1 minute]

[Note: When cosmic energy is completely depleted, will transform into a sleeping cocoon and return to space. Countdown: 4 days, 2 hours, 22 minutes]

[Note: When cosmic energy is completely depleted, will transform into a sleeping cocoon and return to space. Countdown: 5 days, 2 hours, 27 minutes]

The timer continued increasing steadily until it returned to the full seven days, then stopped.

"Hic~" Jirachi released a small burp, looking bright and energetic.

"It appears that the maximum amount of cosmic energy Jirachi's body can store corresponds to seven days of awakened activity," Chris said with a sigh of relief. He had finally managed to save the little one.

"Professor, please check exactly how much energy Jirachi just absorbed from that Meteorite."
