Deoxys, having no ability to resist in its current state, didn't give Chris any trouble at all.
The Luxury Ball secured the capture with ease.
For Legendary Pokémon, ordinary Poké Balls like the Luxury Ball typically had limited restraining power. Even if they lost their ability to battle and were captured, they could potentially break free from the ball after recovering their strength.
This was why villains in the Pokémon anime often preferred to use advanced technology to forcibly control Pokémon rather than relying solely on Poké Balls to capture them.
However, this situation was somewhat different for Chris. Pokémon captured through the game system naturally had to follow the rules established by that system.
After all, had anyone ever heard of captured Pokémon becoming defectors in the actual Pokémon games?
Mega Gardevoir retrieved the Luxury Ball and delivered it directly to Chris's hand.
The status information for Deoxys immediately appeared before his eyes.
[Deoxys (Psychic)]
[Level: 91]

[Individual Values: HP (31), Attack (31), Special Attack (31), Defense (31), Special Defense (31), Speed (31)]

[Held Item: Meteorite]
"Perfect IVs. What an incredible Pokémon," Chris murmured. He remembered that the last time he had seen such a flawless stat spread was on Zeraora.
A luxurious stat panel combined with a terrifying move pool.
It had to be said that Deoxys was truly a formidable opponent. With Recover alone, if it came down to one-on-one battles, none of his current Pokémon could defeat it through sheer attrition.
But now, Deoxys was his Pokémon.
This invincible sense of pressure would now only be directed at his opponents.
"A Meteorite?" Chris removed the held item from Deoxys with curiosity.
Meteorite
Valuable Item
Description: A meteorite that fell from space.
"I don't think I have one of these... actually, wait." Chris opened his inventory and searched through it carefully.
Soon enough, Chris discovered another Meteorite in his valuable items section, bearing the exact same description.
This particular Meteorite had been obtained when Chris cleared his first dungeon, "The Volcano Project."
"So, does this Meteorite contain cosmic energy?" Originally, Chris had thought it could only be used to exchange for the TM for the move "Return" from the Gym Leader in Fallarbor Town.
But now that Deoxys, a Pokémon originating from outer space, was carrying this seemingly ordinary Meteorite, it sparked some interesting connections in Chris's mind.
"I'll take it back and have the researchers analyze it." Chris carefully stored both the Meteorite and the Poké Ball containing Deoxys. He could work on training and bonding with Deoxys later. Right now, it was time to return to the laboratory.
The critical question remained: would Deoxys be able to replenish Jirachi with the special cosmic energy it needed?
Before leaving the dungeon world, a reward notification for completing the dungeon appeared before Chris's eyes.
[Dungeon "Visitor from Universe" (Completed). Rewards are as follows:]
[1. Random Legendary Pokémon Item]
[2. Random Legendary Pokémon Signature Move TM]
"So these are the standard rewards for defeating a Legendary Pokémon dungeon?" Chris recalled that when he had cleared the "Dark Mauville" dungeon to capture Lugia, in addition to unlocking access to the Galar Region, he had received these same two types of rewards.
Last time, he had obtained Zamazenta's exclusive item "Rusted Shield" and Groudon's signature move "Precipice Blades."
He wondered what he would receive this time.
The scenery before him dissolved, and Chris found himself back in his bedroom. He was about to ask Gardevoir to Teleport him directly back to the Laboratory, but the text displayed on his handheld device made him stop in his tracks, his eyes widening.
[Item Acquired: Sacred Ash]
[Item Acquired: Dragon Ascent TM]
"What?!"
"Did I... did I just win the lottery today?"
Even though Chris had encountered numerous Legendary Pokémon items before, and many of his Pokémon already knew exclusive signature moves, he never expected to receive both Sacred Ash and the Dragon Ascent TM.
Sacred Ash
Consumable Item
Resurrects the deceased.
Description: Defies the natural order.
Note carefully—the effect stated here was to "resurrect the deceased," not simply to revive Pokémon from a fainted state.
In the Pokémon world, when a Pokémon lost its ability to battle, it was referred to as fainting, but it wasn't actually dead yet.
Throughout all the Pokémon games, only Sacred Ash possessed the ability to perform true "resurrection" in the literal sense. Moreover, the effect of this resurrection was absolute.
Chris remembered watching a Pokémon movie before arriving in this world where Ash had been reduced to ashes by an attack, and Ho-Oh's Sacred Ash had immediately brought him back to life.
It could be said that this wasn't merely physical resurrection, but conceptual resurrection.
No matter how someone died, as long as Sacred Ash was used, they could be revived regardless of any circumstances.
"This is literally an extra life," Chris breathed, overwhelmed by the significance of such an item.
He then turned his attention to the second reward, the TM.
Dragon Ascent.
The signature move of Rayquaza, the Lord of the Sky, known as the strongest Dragon-type Pokémon.
Additionally, in the games, this move was also the key to Rayquaza's transformation into Mega Rayquaza. Among all signature moves, Dragon Ascent was considered exceptionally powerful.
Chris had never imagined he would obtain it so easily.
"So, who should I teach Dragon Ascent to?" Chris couldn't help but contemplate this question.
According to the learning patterns he had observed with Precipice Blades, Dragon Ascent, as a Dragon-type move, should theoretically only be learnable by Dragon-type Pokémon.
So, should he give it to Garchomp?
It already knew Precipice Blades, and pairing it with Dragon Ascent would create an excellent combination—one attacking from the ground, the other attacking from the sky. They would complement each other perfectly.
Alternatively, he could give it to his Totem-sized Salamence and make it into his premier Dragon-type powerhouse.
After considering his options for several moments, Chris decided to temporarily store the Dragon Ascent TM in his inventory. After all, Dragon Ascent was essentially equivalent to Rayquaza's Mega Evolution stone.
It was only a matter of time before he encountered Rayquaza. If he wasn't in a hurry, Chris even entertained the thought of catching a Shiny Rayquaza.
Chris quickly shook his head, temporarily dismissing thoughts of Shiny hunting.
Right now, he needed to focus on saving Jirachi.
Opening his handheld device, he flew to a nearby city and had Nurse Joy at the Pokémon Center heal Deoxys to full health.
After closing the handheld, Chris nodded to Gardevoir.
Gardevoir activated Teleport, and Chris was immediately transported back to the Laboratory.
