Lily stepped inside, immediately welcomed by the warm, mouthwatering aroma of food. No one needed to inform her—she already knew Angus was home.
"Angus," she called out softly.
"My darling wife is back." Angus strode toward her and lifted her effortlessly into his arms. "Are you tired?" he murmured, gently placing her onto a chair.
Lily set the shopping bags aside and nodded lightly. "A little," she admitted with a smile. "Is Lora asleep?" she added curiously.
"Mummy!"
Lora appeared out of nowhere, throwing herself straight into Lily's embrace.
"My baby!" Lily laughed as she picked her up and settled her onto her lap. "I thought you were asleep."
Lora giggled, revealing her small, pearly white fangs. "I can control my sleeping time now. I'll be more human from today onward," she announced proudly.
"Aww, my pretty daughter is becoming so mature," Lily teased affectionately, earning a shy blush from Lora.
