Chapter 479: Snake Uncle's Strike, The Power of a Half-Saint!
"Ao Huangtian!"
Mo Yu's silver eyes slightly narrowed as he gazed at the colossal figure, a hint of astonishment flashing in them. The strength of this beast far surpassed that of the former Ice River Valley Master, Bing He. Not just in the South Sea, but even in Zhongzhou, this creature would be regarded as a fearsome ruler and overlord.
"The legendary patriarch of the Two-Headed Jiao Dragon Clan… he's come out of seclusion!"
"It must be the death of the Jiao Crown Prince that stirred Ao Huangtian."
"He was said to have killed a Five-Star Dou Zun from Zhongzhou a century ago. His strength is terrifying, widely known as the number one in the South Sea. Mo Yu has no chance of escaping this time…"
Many on the island whispered in awe as they gazed at the massive Two-Headed Jiao Dragon.
In the sky, that enormous figure, large enough to block out the sun, suddenly shifted into a humanoid form. A black-clad figure stepped forward slowly.
As the figure appeared, the air around them grew noticeably moist, and tiny raindrops began to drizzle down from the sky.
This strange occurrence instantly caught Mo Yu's attention, and his heart sank. This person's ability to manipulate the energy of heaven and earth with such ease meant they possessed a terrifying level of power. By Mo Yu's estimation, the leader of the Two-Headed Jiao Dragon Clan was at least at the Seven-Star or even Eight-Star level.
"So, you're the one who killed my most talented son!"
The black-clad figure's aged eyes slowly fixed on Mo Yu, his expression cold and dark.
As his voice fell, a loud rumble echoed through the sky. Dark clouds suddenly rolled in, and a terrifying, oppressive atmosphere filled the air, brimming with rage.
The wrath of a Seven-Star Dou Zun was enough to turn even a Five-Star Dou Zun into dust!
Mo Yu did not respond, keeping his gaze cautious as he stared at the elder before him. The old man wore a black robe, and even his hair and eyebrows were tinged with a dark purple hue. His eyes seemed to ripple with an endless sea of water energy, capable of mesmerizing those who looked into them.
Though the old man appeared unassuming, Mo Yu knew that this man, Ao Huangtian, was leagues above Ao Guang and Blood Shark Prince in strength.
"Patriarch, I have failed in my duty to protect the Jiao Crown Prince," Ao Guang said, bowing deeply, his tone full of guilt and fear.
"Though this boy killed my son, you indeed failed in your duty to protect him. Therefore…"
At this, Ao Huangtian's expression darkened. Dense black energy swirled from his palm and quickly formed a black ring.
The ring pierced through the air, hurtling toward Ao Guang with alarming speed. In a flash, it reached his legs.
"Agh!"
Ao Guang's piercing scream rang out as the black ring touched him, severing his legs cleanly. The wounds were smooth, without a drop of blood—almost as if the black ring had absorbed all the blood upon contact. Ao Guang's face turned pale as snow, his breathing growing weak.
With his legs gone, Ao Guang was effectively crippled.
"You bear some responsibility for the prince's death, and this punishment shall suffice," Ao Huangtian said coldly.
The crowd gasped in shock. A Two-Star Dou Zun, a powerhouse in any faction, was crippled by Ao Huangtian with a single move. The patriarch's ruthless nature was no surprise, given his fearsome reputation.
"Now that I've dealt with my own, it's your turn," Ao Huangtian said, his gaze shifting to Mo Yu as if he were already dead.
"I don't believe I'll just give in!"
Mo Yu's eyes narrowed. He could sense the immense danger radiating from Ao Huangtian, but he was far from ready to surrender. If necessary, he would use the final strike from the Black Thunder Talisman on this old beast. Even though this would likely provoke further retaliation from the Two-Headed Jiao Dragon Clan, there was no other choice.
With that in mind, Mo Yu's shoulders tensed. The wings of lightning formed from his Thunder Bone spread wide as his body shot backward, leaving afterimages in the sky.
Seeing Mo Yu retreat, Ao Huangtian snorted coldly. The space around him distorted, and in an instant, he vanished.
The moment Ao Huangtian disappeared, every hair on Mo Yu's body stood on end. When he blinked, the black-clad figure was already less than two feet away.
"I told you, running is useless. You must die with my son!"
Ao Huangtian's expression grew colder. His right hand moved forward, gathering an overwhelming amount of water energy from the surroundings, which formed into a powerful, icy aura that shot toward Mo Yu.
As Ao Huangtian's hand reached out, Mo Yu's expression grew serious. He quickly summoned all his mystic thunder, condensing it into a coiling lightning dragon in his right hand, which he slammed toward Ao Huangtian's incoming strike.
Hiss!
When the two forces collided, there was no deafening explosion—only thick white smoke as lightning and icy energy intertwined. The sound of sizzling echoed continuously.
Boom!
The clash didn't last long before a muffled sound rang out. A figure was thrown backward from the smoke, crashing hard against a mountain wall. The force of the impact created large cracks that spread across the solid stone.
Pfft!
Mo Yu wiped the blood from his mouth, spitting out a mouthful of it as he glared darkly at the black-clad figure in the sky.
He had been able to hold his own against Blood Shark Prince and Ao Guang, but against Ao Huangtian, even giving his all wasn't enough. He had no chance to fight back.
"Die with my son!"
In the sky, Ao Huangtian's cold gaze swept over Mo Yu. His body flickered, and in an instant, he appeared in front of Mo Yu. His hand reached out toward Mo Yu's shoulder, a chilling voice accompanying his motion.
Just as Mo Yu was about to unleash his final attack with the Black Thunder Talisman, a hand suddenly appeared from behind him, grabbing Ao Huangtian's outstretched hand. At the same time, a calm and gentle voice echoed from behind Mo Yu.
"If you think you can take him away, you'll need more than just an old Jiao Dragon like you."
The moment Ao Huangtian's hand was caught, his expression shifted. He found that his energy had suddenly come to a halt, and the rain and mist surrounding him evaporated instantly.
This shocking scene left Ao Huangtian stunned. He quickly looked up, only to see a middle-aged figure standing in the air behind Mo Yu.
"Who are you? Why are you interfering?"
Ao Huangtian stared at the man, sensing an immense threat. This feeling was something he hadn't experienced since a century ago, when he encountered a powerful figure from the Yan Clan in Zhongzhou. His expression grew serious.
"Snake Uncle? You've returned?"
Seeing Ao Huangtian's attack halted, Mo Yu turned around, his face lighting up with joy as he saw the familiar figure behind him.
"Mm, I suppose you could say that," Snake Uncle replied with a smile, then turned to Mo Yu. "You can rest now, boy. Leave him to me."
Mo Yu hesitated for a moment but then nodded. With his sharp spiritual senses, he could tell that Snake Uncle's aura was now overwhelmingly powerful—far beyond that of Ao Huangtian. Although it seemed slightly unstable, it was clear that even Ao Huangtian wasn't on the same level.
"I wonder… has Snake Uncle successfully evolved into the Nine-Winged Golden Python?" Mo Yu thought as he retreated, catching the cold, dark glare of Ao Huangtian.
"Sir, this is the territory of the Two-Headed Jiao Dragon Clan. That boy is the murderer of my son. If you wish to interfere, I urge you to think carefully!" Ao Huangtian warned, sensing the immense power of the man before him.
"Mo Yu is my junior, and even if he killed your son, it's because your son deserved it. You're in no position to punish him. Besides, you're not even close to threatening me," Snake Uncle said with a cold smile. "You injured him, so now it's time for you to pay."
"You think I fear you?" Ao Huangtian's face darkened. Blue energy glowed on his hand as he twisted free of Snake Uncle's grip.
Opening his mouth wide, Ao Huangtian unleashed a torrent of black energy that formed into a massive two-headed Jiao Dragon, which charged ferociously toward Snake Uncle.
Snake Uncle remained calm. He reached out his hand and clenched his fist, instantly shattering the space in front of him. The giant Jiao Dragon was ripped apart, turning into countless droplets of water.
Boom!
With a simple gesture, Snake Uncle sent a powerful invisible strike toward Ao Huangtian. The sky trembled as an enormous, unseen hand shot through space toward him.
Though the strike was silent, Ao Huangtian immediately felt an overwhelming sense of danger. He rapidly formed hand seals, and with a low shout, the surrounding ocean energy gathered to create a massive black shield around him.
The invisible hand slammed into the black shield, causing the space around them to warp violently. The sight left the onlookers in shock.
Bang!
The black shield shattered almost instantly, and a torrent of rain fell from the sky as Ao Huangtian was blasted backward, stumbling through the air. A grunt escaped his lips as he was forced to retreat more than a hundred meters. He had already suffered injuries in just the first exchange.
The sky-shaking battle drew the attention of everyone. The onlookers, many seasoned warriors, were astonished to see Ao Huangtian pushed back.
"Who is that middle-aged man in the purple-gold robes? How can he suppress Ao Huangtian like this?"
"Could he be a senior from Mo Yu's faction in Zhongzhou?"
"If that's true, then Mo Yu must have a terrifying background! Even someone who can suppress Ao Huangtian is standing behind him!"
As whispers spread among the crowd, Blood Shark Prince, Black Abyss Sovereign, and Wu Jun all wore dark expressions. They had planned to kill Mo Yu in the South Sea, but his backing turned out to be far stronger than they anticipated. If this man decided to retaliate, their entire factions could be wiped out.
Meanwhile, the Water Clan was overjoyed. With the appearance of Mo Yu's powerful backer, their lives were spared.
"Damn it! You may be strong, but in the South Sea, don't think you can defeat me so easily!" Ao Huangtian roared in anger.
His body swelled as he transformed into his massive two-headed Jiao Dragon form once more. The enormous beast, with its two ferocious heads and blood-red eyes, exuded an overwhelming presence.
Now in his true form, Ao Huangtian regained his confidence. His jaws opened wide, releasing a terrifying energy that surged toward Snake Uncle like an apocalyptic wave.
"Die!"
As the oceanic energy gathered in his maw like a massive bomb, Ao Huangtian's blood-red eyes gleamed with excitement.
Just as the terrifying jaws of the Jiao Dragon were about to engulf Snake Uncle, who stood only ten meters away, the man calmly raised his hand.
Ao Huangtian sneered, seeing Snake Uncle prepare to take the blow head-on.
But as soon as his smirk appeared, it froze.
"Stop."
With that single word, Ao Huangtian's enormous body froze in mid-air, mere meters from Snake Uncle.
The island fell into complete silence. Ao Huangtian's face was filled with shock. Not even a peak Dou Zun could simply stop his full-force attack with a word!
Snake Uncle's hand lightly pressed against Ao Huangtian's massive body, and his calm voice echoed through the air.
"You're quite powerful for an old Jiao Dragon, but unfortunately, I am a…"
