Chapter 560: Four Heavenly Lords, Semi-Saint of the Soul Hall
"Mo Yu?"
"Young Master?!"
"Your Highness!"
As the silver-eyed youth suddenly appeared on the city wall, many people were momentarily stunned. But soon, waves of joy spread across the crowd, and a series of different titles echoed in the air.
To the powerful figures of the Snake-People Tribe, Mo Yu was not only the hero who had helped them build their nation but also the husband of their Queen, Cai Lin. Thus, calling him "Your Highness" was only natural.
Although several years had passed and Mo Yu had matured significantly, his familiar face was instantly recognized by many of the Snake-People warriors, deeply etched into their memories.
Hearing the excited cheers, Mo Yu smiled slightly. Just as he was about to speak, his brow furrowed. He saw the thousand-foot-tall beast suddenly become violent again, unleashing a terrifying force and charging with devastating wind pressure.
"Watch out!"
The sudden change made many people shout in alarm.
"Boom!"
Before their cries had even faded, an explosion sounded. Everyone stared in shock as the massive beast, conjured by the combined strength of 20 Dou Zun (Battle Venerable) experts, was crushed in Mo Yu's hand!
Not only that, the 20 Dou Zun experts of the Lion Nether Sect, who had joined forces, were sent flying with no warning. Groans escaped their lips as blood spurted out, their faces filled with terror.
With just one move, Mo Yu had repelled the combined attack of 20 Dou Zun experts!
Effortlessly making the 20 Dou Zun experts cough up blood, Mo Yu didn't even bother to turn around. He glanced at the Snake-People Empire's beleaguered forces on the city wall and lightly waved his hand. "Let's move."
"Boom!"
As Mo Yu's hand descended, a powerful surge of energy exploded in the sky not far away. Suddenly, the sound of figures slicing through the air could be heard. In a matter of moments, dozens of figures appeared above the city wall, as if falling from the heavens.
"Dou Zun experts?!"
Both the Snake-People Empire and the Lion Nether Sect warriors gasped when they realized that every single one of these figures was a Dou Zun expert!
"What a terrifying force..."
The Snake-People warriors stared in awe at the figures hovering in midair. There were at least 30 of them. Thirty Dou Zun experts! Such a force could sweep through any power on the Northwestern Continent!
"No wonder Queen Cai Lin chose him… He's truly extraordinary," remarked Mo Bas, a Snake-People commander who had once been jealous of Mo Yu. Now, he could only admire him.
"I heard that His Highness Mo Yu has already established a massive foundation in Central Plains, even receiving the assistance of a Semi-Saint elder from our tribe. Such power... It's no wonder that even someone like you, Mo Bas, can't compare to him. In fact, there are few men on the entire continent as outstanding as him. Queen Cai Lin is fortunate not only to have such a partner but also for the future of the entire Snake-People Tribe," said another female Snake-People commander, her figure voluptuous and alluring, as she gazed at Mo Yu with reverence.
"Indeed. Who could have imagined that the once-weak human boy would grow to this extent? When His Highness Mo Yu left the Northwestern Continent, I knew he wasn't destined to remain ordinary. But to think that in just five or six short years, he could reach a level where even 20 Dou Zun experts are no match for him…" said an older Snake-People commander.
"His Highness is impressive, no doubt… but he has too many women. Even Queen Cai Lin…" murmured a soft-spoken female commander, her gaze drifting between Little Doctor Immortal, Qing Lin, and recalling Xiao Yu, the mistress of Yuan Mansion. She sighed softly.
Many people's gazes were fixed on Mo Yu, who had easily crushed the combined might of 20 Dou Zun experts. In their hearts, feelings of awe and admiration rose, as well as a sense of hope.
The Queen's man had arrived. Everything was going to be okay now.
After Yuan Mansion's Dou Zun experts joined the fray, the battle quickly turned in their favor. Mo Yu, however, turned his attention to the woman in front of him, clad in tight red armor that accentuated her curvaceous, slender figure. His gaze softened as he called gently, "Cai Lin."
Hearing Mo Yu's voice, Cai Lin's body stiffened slightly. After a moment, she lifted her head, her beautiful eyes filled with complex emotions as she glanced at the silver-eyed youth. She sighed softly, lowering her head. "I thought you weren't coming back."
Though her words carried a hint of anger, there was also a trace of grievance. Over the years, Cai Lin had come to truly regard Mo Yu as her man, and the people of the Snake-People Empire had all come to know him as their Prince. But year after year, Mo Yu never returned after leaving for Central Plains. Even someone as proud as Queen Cai Lin had started to feel insecure.
Seeing her biting her lip, Mo Yu understood. This proud, strong woman had finally succumbed to her feelings.
A wave of guilt washed over him. He stepped forward, wrapped his arms around her slender waist, and despite her resistance, pulled her into his embrace. His voice was soft as he whispered, "Don't worry. I'm here now. From now on, just be my woman."
Hearing the low murmur in her ear, even someone as strong as Cai Lin felt a sting in her nose, tears welling up. No matter how powerful she appeared in front of others, no matter how grand her role as Queen, at the end of the day, she was still just a woman. A woman who had found her place in Mo Yu.
As that place had been missing for years, resentment had built up in her heart. But with those gentle words, all her grievances quietly melted away.
"Hmph, who wants to be your woman?!" she muttered, biting her silver teeth in defiance. Her cold, beautiful face flushed as she broke free from Mo Yu's embrace.
She had always presented herself as a strong and proud Queen to her people and didn't want anyone to see her acting like a little girl in someone's arms.
"Haha, we can talk more after I deal with this," Mo Yu chuckled, stepping into the sky, walking slowly out beyond the city wall. His gaze fell on the blonde, muscular man watching him with a grim expression.
"So, you're Mo Yu? The Prince of the Snake-People Empire?"
The leader of the Lion Nether Sect, Shi Tian, had barely spoken when Mo Yu waved his hand dismissively. A violent surge of electricity ripped through the air, forming a giant hand of lightning that shot toward Shi Tian at blinding speed.
"Bam!"
With a single slap, Shi Tian's Dou Qi defenses crumbled like paper. The terrifying current flooded his body, causing him to cough up blood as he was sent flying, crashing hard into the ground.
"Hiss…"
Seeing Shi Tian, the sect master of the Lion Nether Sect, unable to withstand even a single blow from Mo Yu, both the Snake-People Empire and the Lion Nether Sect's forces gasped in disbelief.
"Trash from the Soul Hall, come out now," Mo Yu said calmly, not paying Shi Tian any further attention. He raised his head and looked toward the distant black fog. His voice, cold and thunderous, echoed across the sky.
As Mo Yu's voice spread, the black fog began to stir. Moments later, the fog parted, and a blood-red figure emerged, stepping through the air. In a few flickers, the figure appeared within a hundred meters of Mo Yu.
"You truly live up to your reputation as a genius of the Thunder Clan. You've earned your arrogance," a calm voice rang out from the red mist. Then, the eerie sound of liquid gurgling could be heard, as if blood was flowing.
Under countless gazes, the sound grew louder. Soon, the red color began to seep from the black fog, revealing a thick, viscous sea of blood!
As the blood sea churned, a figure clad entirely in red slowly rose, his crimson eyes coldly fixed on Mo Yu. His raspy voice echoed in the sky.
"Kekeke… Thunder Clan brat, I didn't expect you to come to the Northwestern Continent. You're asking for death."
Mo Yu looked at the figure below, dressed in blood-red robes with crimson hair and blood-colored eyes. An overwhelming stench of blood filled the air around him.
"This guy's strength is terrifying," Cai Lin and the others thought, feeling a deep sense of dread as they looked at the blood-clad figure. Though they couldn't gauge his exact power, it was clear that his strength far exceeded their expectations.
"If I'm not mistaken, you must be Blood River, one of the Four Heavenly Lords of the Soul Hall," Mo Yu said, recalling the intelligence he had gathered about the Soul Hall.
"To think someone still remembers my name after all this time." Blood River's eyes flickered, a murderous glint flashing across them. Without wasting words, he raised his hand, summoning the blood sea around him. The blood quickly condensed into a blood-red spear.
In the blink of an eye, Blood River vanished from sight.
"Thunder Clan brat, enough talk. Die!"
As the oppressive force descended, even those on the city wall like Cai Lin felt their faces pale. Though they weren't directly involved, the sheer power of the blood-clad figure was overwhelming.
"You think you can kill me? With that level of strength?" Mo Yu shook his head. His hand shot out, moving with lightning speed toward the empty air beside him. His punch collided with Blood River's spear as the blood-clad figure suddenly reappeared.
"Boom!"
The moment their hands met, a blast of energy, a mixture of blood and lightning, erupted from the point of impact. The space around them warped under the pressure.
"Five-Star Dou Zun?!"
As the energy clashed, Blood River's figure appeared fully, his face twisting in shock as he felt the ferocious lightning surging through his arm.
In the next instant, he let out a pained grunt as Mo Yu's punch sent him stumbling back ten steps. Shock and disbelief washed over his face.
After the brief exchange, Blood River realized that Mo Yu had reached the level of a Five-Star Dou Zun!
He himself was only a Four-Star Dou Zun!
And yet, according to the Soul Hall's intelligence, wasn't this boy still a low-level Dou Zun just a year ago?
Of course, the powerful Soul Clan experts who had ventured into the Heavenly Tomb were well aware of Mo Yu's current strength, but the Soul Hall, being a lower-tier organization, had not received that information.
"A mere Four-Star... how pathetic," Mo Yu said dismissively, shaking his head.
"You brat, you're getting ahead of yourself!" Blood River's face darkened. He opened his mouth, spitting out a column of blood that shot into the blood clouds above.
The clouds darkened, churning violently. Suddenly, the clouds split open, and a thousand-foot-wide blood-red palm shot out, crashing toward Mo Yu with terrifying force.
Even before the palm reached him, a massive handprint appeared on the ground far below.
"Mo Yu, let's see if you can survive this! Blood Demon Palm!"
Despite the incoming attack, Mo Yu's expression remained unchanged. With a casual motion, he raised his hand, and a surge of violet-gold lightning shot forth, coiling like a thousand serpents.
The Primal Thunder under Mo Yu's control crackled, converging into a massive, thousand-foot-long violet-gold axe in an instant.
The giant axe radiated a terrifying aura of ancient power. Just a glance at it was enough to make onlookers tremble with fear.
"Boom!"
The violet-gold axe collided with the blood-red palm. The moment they touched, the palm began to melt away like ice under the summer sun, breaking apart into fragments of energy.
"Damn it! How is this brat so strong?" Blood River's face contorted with rage as he watched his attack crumble before the unscathed Mo Yu. Even he had to admit that with his current strength, he was no match for Mo Yu, a Five-Star Dou Zun.
For one of the Four Heavenly Lords of the Soul Hall to be defeated by a youth—it was humiliating!
Seeing no other option, Blood River gritted his teeth and shot a venomous look at Mo Yu. Swallowing his pride, he raised his head to the sky and shouted, "Third Brother, lend me your strength!"
Mo Yu's expression changed as he heard the call. His voice turned serious as he muttered to himself.
"The Third Heavenly Lord of the Soul Hall... a Semi-Saint!"
