Chapter 561 - Chapter 561: The Saint of Blacklight, A Massive Power Surge

Chapter 561: The Saint of Blacklight, A Massive Power Surge

Upon hearing the Fourth Heavenly Lord's sudden scream, Mo Yu paused for a moment, then snorted coldly.

"Whether or not you have backup, I'll kill this guy first!"

Mo Yu's eyes flickered rapidly. In an instant, the massive purple-gold axe swung down again with such terrifying power that even a peak Dou Zun would be fearful.

Sensing the overwhelming energy closing in from behind, the Fourth Heavenly Lord was utterly terrified. His Dou Qi surged wildly, directing it all toward his back in an attempt to defend himself. However, no matter how he fought back, the descending purple-gold axe didn't slow down in the slightest.

"Third Brother!"

Despite his desperate efforts, nothing worked. The Fourth Heavenly Lord's face turned deathly pale, and his shrill cry echoed once more.

Right after his shout, a crack suddenly appeared in the space around them, expanding into a large, pitch-black spatial rift. From within, a terrifying aura like a violent storm surged out.

Feeling the overwhelming pressure from this aura, everyone's faces changed dramatically as someone gasped in shock, "A Half-Saint?!"

Mo Yu's expression darkened. He hadn't expected a Half-Saint from the Soul Hall to actually intervene.

"We can't let them succeed!"

A cold glint flickered in Mo Yu's eyes. With a wave of his sleeve, a bolt of thunder surged out, forming a terrifying thunder beast. It shot toward the spatial rift like a flash of lightning.

"Whoosh!"

The thunder beast, crackling with violent electricity, reached the edge of the rift in an instant. But just before it could explode, a black, mist-covered hand suddenly reached out from the rift and grabbed the thunder beast, crushing it into nothingness.

"Cough, cough. Old Four, I didn't expect you to fail against this kid from the Lei Clan."

As the black hand emerged from the rift, a displeased voice slowly echoed out from within.

Then, a tall middle-aged man in a black robe stepped out of the rift, his appearance immediately drawing everyone's attention.

The man had a tall, imposing figure and wore a mysterious black robe. His eyes were deeply sunken, and within them glowed two mysterious black lights, giving him a sinister and terrifying presence.

The black-robed man glanced at the purple-gold axe about to fall upon the Fourth Heavenly Lord and frowned slightly. With a wave of his sleeve, the space around them froze, and a burst of black light shot out, shattering the purple-gold axe.

"Thank you, Third Brother," the Fourth Heavenly Lord sighed in relief as the threat disappeared. He then glared viciously at Mo Yu. "For some reason, this brat's power has surged to the peak of Fifth-Revolution Dou Zun. His foundation is deep, and his techniques are strong. We'll need your help, Third Brother, to deal with him."

"Oh?"

Hearing this, the man known as the Third Heavenly Lord raised an eyebrow. His black-glowing eyes turned to Mo Yu, and a cold smile appeared on his face. "I didn't expect this kid to be so powerful."

Under the Third Heavenly Lord's intense gaze, Mo Yu frowned slightly and exhaled slowly. He hadn't thought he'd be facing a true Half-Saint so soon.

"Blacklight Lord? No, I suppose now we should call you the Saint of Blacklight!"

A Yuan Mansion elder who had been battling Soul Hall experts paused, his eyes narrowing as he stared at the black-robed figure. His voice was filled with gravity.

"The Saint of Blacklight?" Mo Yu frowned.

"Master, be careful. This man was once a famous expert in the Central Plains. His Blacklight techniques were extremely sinister, killing countless top-tier experts. He suddenly disappeared, and now it's clear he joined the Soul Hall and broke through to the Saint level."

The elder spoke softly but with deep seriousness. He then added quietly, "Perhaps we should request assistance from the Grand Elder."

"Uncle Serpent?" Mo Yu's eyes flashed with thought before he shook his head.

Uncle Serpent and Qing Zhi were critical to guarding Yuan Mansion. If this was a trap to lure them away, it would be dangerous. Besides, after his journey to the Heavenly Tomb, Mo Yu's strength had greatly increased. While the Third Heavenly Lord was powerful, Mo Yu believed he could take on a low-level Half-Saint.

"They sent both the Third and Fourth Heavenly Lords. It seems the Soul Hall is making a serious move this time."

After some thought, Mo Yu turned his gaze toward the black-robed man in front of him and spoke in a deep voice.

"Oh, you don't seem nervous. Do you really think a mere Fifth-Revolution Dou Zun can challenge me? Remember, beneath the Saint level, all are ants."

The Third Heavenly Lord stared coldly at Mo Yu, his voice devoid of any emotion.

Although he was only a low-level Half-Saint, having broken through with the help of the Soul Hall's resources, he was still a true Saint-level expert. Even a peak Nine-Revolution Dou Zun couldn't challenge a Half-Saint.

"Beneath the Saint level, all are ants" wasn't just a saying; it was a time-tested truth on the Dou Qi continent.

"Does everyone in the Soul Hall like to boast? The Fourth Heavenly Lord was just as confident, and yet he still lost to me," Mo Yu sneered.

"You..." The Fourth Heavenly Lord's face twisted in anger at Mo Yu's taunt. But before he could speak, the Third Heavenly Lord barked, "Shut up, you useless fool! This isn't your place to speak!"

The Fourth Heavenly Lord's face twisted like he had swallowed something bitter, but he could only glare at Mo Yu in silence.

"Defeating that weakling made you cocky, huh?" After scolding the Fourth Heavenly Lord, the Third Heavenly Lord chuckled and shook his head.

"I didn't want to intervene, but since this fool is useless, I suppose I'll handle it. The Lei Clan's divine bloodline... capturing you will surely please the Hall Master."

As soon as the Third Heavenly Lord finished speaking, his figure suddenly vanished into thin air.

Mo Yu's expression changed as he quickly retreated. His hand, crackling with purple-gold lightning, swept toward the space where the Third Heavenly Lord had disappeared.

The strike twisted the space, and the black-robed figure of the Saint of Blacklight emerged from the distortion.

"Heh, impressive reflexes. You're worthy of being the Lei Clan's most promising talent," the Saint of Blacklight sneered. Black light gleamed from his hand as he clashed violently with Mo Yu's thunderous palm.

"Boom!"

A fierce wave of energy and lightning erupted through the sky. The Saint of Blacklight remained unmoved, while Mo Yu grunted and was forced back several steps.

As Mo Yu steadied himself, brilliant purple-gold lightning surged from his body like a blazing sun, filling the sky with electric currents.

Watching the sudden surge of purple-gold lightning, the Saint of Blacklight's face briefly flashed with surprise.

"Impressive. For a Lei Clan genius, this is quite the powerful lightning technique," the Saint of Blacklight remarked, his expression turning serious as he observed the Ancient Primal Thunder.

Even the Fourth Heavenly Lord, standing at a distance, broke into a cold sweat. He finally realized just how terrifying this purple-gold lightning was, perhaps rivaling the top six flames on the Heavenly Flame Ranking.

"No matter how powerful the lightning, it won't be enough to turn the tide." The Saint of Blacklight stepped forward, his cold eyes locked on Mo Yu. As he spoke, black light surged from his hands, filling half the sky with eerie energy.

Within moments, the black light condensed into a massive black giant, nearly a thousand meters tall. The giant stood like an evil war god, radiating a terrifying aura that sent shivers through everyone's souls.

"The Blacklight War God... He summoned that right away. Third Brother must truly be wary of this kid," the Fourth Heavenly Lord muttered under his breath, his face tense as he watched the towering black giant.

"Go!"

With a point from the Saint of Blacklight's finger, the giant's empty eyes glowed with dark light. With one enormous stride, it appeared in front of Mo Yu, its massive, black-glowing hand tearing through space as it came down upon him.

Mo Yu, faced with the terrifying attack, swiftly retreated. At the same time, a massive purple-gold lightning hand erupted from within him, meeting the giant's hand head-on in mid-air.

"Crackle!"

As the two forces collided, sharp crackling sounds filled the sky as black light and purple lightning intertwined, creating an ear-piercing screech.

"Shatter!"

The Saint of Blacklight clenched his fist, and the giant mimicked his movement, crushing Mo Yu's purple-gold lightning hand into pieces.

Seeing his counterattack easily destroyed, Mo Yu furrowed his brow. Battling a Half-Saint was proving to be extremely challenging. Even with the primal thunder, he was still at a disadvantage.

"Primal Thunder Dragon!"

Despite the unfavorable situation, Mo Yu quickly regained his focus, forming a series of complex hand seals.

With a cold shout, Mo Yu completed the hand seals, and the massive purple-gold lightning swirling around him began to twist and pulse. Ten thick pillars of primal lightning shot down from the sky, swirling together to form a colossal, thousand-meter-long purple-gold Thunder Dragon.

The dragon's body crackled with immense power, exuding a fearsome presence like a true dragon from ancient times, its might sending waves of terror through the air.

"Go!"

Mo Yu commanded, and with a thunderous roar, the massive Thunder Dragon charged toward the giant of black light, intent on tearing it apart.

"Roar!"

The Thunder Dragon lashed its tail, sending destructive lightning surging forward. Its sheer power was enough to heavily injure even a peak Nine-Revolution Dou Zun expert!

This was the true might of the Ancient Primal Thunder!

Faced with the ferocious Thunder Dragon, the black-light giant trembled. The black light covering its body began to fade, and even its massive frame started to blur and weaken under the intense assault.

No matter how powerful the Saint of Blacklight was, he couldn't completely ignore the terrifying strength of the Ancient Primal Thunder.

"What terrifying lightning… How has no one ever heard of the Lei Clan wielding such power before?"

The Saint of Blacklight's expression grew grim as he watched his giant struggle against the Thunder Dragon's relentless attack. His brow furrowed as he realized that Mo Yu's lightning was far more powerful than he had anticipated. If it weren't for the Thunder Dragon's intense strength, his black-light giant wouldn't be under such pressure.

"Still, as powerful as this thunder is, it's not enough to fully turn the battle in your favor," the Saint of Blacklight muttered darkly. He planted his feet firmly in the air, his sinister eyes narrowing as he focused on Mo Yu in the distance.

As he spoke, thick waves of black light surged from his body. In a matter of moments, the black light swelled, enveloping the giant in a solid, dark crystalline layer that glistened ominously, making the black-light giant look even more fearsome—like an indomitable warlord.

"Humph! Watch as I tear that Thunder Dragon apart!"

With the Saint of Blacklight's cold command, the giant roared to life, shaking its mighty body. The dark crystals on its skin reflected a terrifying energy as it shrugged off the Thunder Dragon's attacks, then swatted its massive tail away. The giant raised its arm, its black hand glowing with dark light, and brought it crashing down onto the Thunder Dragon's body.

"Crack!"

A thin fissure appeared on the Thunder Dragon's body, sending ripples of energy outward.

"Boom!"

With that crack, the entire Thunder Dragon's massive form shattered into countless fragments of lightning, exploding in all directions.

As the Thunder Dragon disintegrated, Mo Yu was caught off guard by the massive shockwave. Before he could evade it, the impact hit him full force, and he let out a pained grunt. Blood trickled from the corner of his mouth as the backlash sent him reeling.

Wiping the blood from his lips, Mo Yu furrowed his brows. Battling a Half-Saint was proving to be far more challenging than he had anticipated. If it weren't for the protective armor of the Ancient Bug Emperor, even the aftershock could have left him severely injured.

"Young Lei Clan warrior, if you had reached the Half-Saint level, this fight might have been different. But unfortunately for you…" The Saint of Blacklight smiled wickedly, his cold eyes gleaming with amusement as he locked his gaze onto Mo Yu.

Hearing those words, Mo Yu's expression faltered for a moment. Then, a faint smile tugged at the corner of his lips, and he replied softly, "A Half-Saint, huh? Who said I can't reach that level?"

As soon as Mo Yu finished speaking, a wave of intense power erupted from his body, surging outward like a volcanic eruption.

The change happened in the blink of an eye, catching the Saint of Blacklight off guard. His sunken eyes bulged in disbelief as he muttered, "This... This is... the aura of a Saint?!"

Staring at the sudden burst of purple-gold thunder emanating from Mo Yu, a strange expression flashed across the face of that figure shrouded in black light.

"No wonder he's considered a genius of the Thunder Clan, to have mastered such a powerful thunderstorm," Heihe muttered gravely as he looked at the complete form of the Primal Ancestral Thunder.

Meanwhile, not far away, the Fourth Prince couldn't help but break out in a cold sweat. He finally realized the true terror of that purple-gold thunderstorm. In his view, it might rival even the top six flames on the Exotic Flame List.

"No matter what, a single bolt of thunder cannot change the course of this battle," Heihe said coldly, standing in the air, his eyes filled with a menacing gleam as he glared at Mo Yu in the distance.

As his final word fell, a surge of black light burst from his palm, spreading out across the sky in an instant. The energy within this black light was so chilling that, under its control, it quickly condensed into a colossal black giant.

The black giant stood nearly a thousand feet tall, looming in the sky like a sinister war god. Dark energy churned across its massive form, radiating a terrifying pressure that caused most of those present to feel their very souls tremble in fear.

"Blacklight War God... To summon this right away, it seems Third Brother is quite wary of that kid," muttered the Fourth Prince, his face grave as he looked at the enormous black giant towering in the sky.

"Go!"

The Blacklight Sage directed his finger toward Mo Yu, and the giant's hollow eyes suddenly lit up with two orbs of black light. With a single step, the giant appeared not far from Mo Yu, its massive hand enveloped in dark energy as it easily tore through space, striking down at Mo Yu with tremendous force.

Faced with the terrifying attack, Mo Yu quickly retreated, not daring to delay. Simultaneously, a huge purple-gold thunder palm, dozens of feet wide, erupted from his body and collided head-on with the giant's black palm.

"Hissss!"

The clash of the two forces generated a sharp, crackling sound as the black light and purple electricity intermingled, filling the sky.

"Shatter!"

With a distant grasp of his hand, Heihe controlled the giant's hand to crush Mo Yu's purple-gold palm, reducing it to fragments in an instant.

Mo Yu's brows furrowed slightly as his counterattack was effortlessly broken. Even with the assistance of the Profound Thunder, he was clearly at a disadvantage against this semi-saint opponent.

"Primal Thunder Dragon!"

Despite the unfavorable situation, Mo Yu quickly regained his composure and began forming a series of complex hand seals. With a fierce shout, the purple-gold thunder around him twisted and morphed, shooting down from the sky as pillars of lightning that intertwined and merged into a massive purple-gold thunder dragon, nearly a thousand feet long.

The dragon's body crackled with intense electrical currents, exuding a presence as fearsome as a true member of the Dragon Clan.

"Attack!"

With another shout from Mo Yu, the Primal Thunder Dragon roared and charged at the black giant.

"Roar!"

The dragon's tail lashed out, sending a torrent of thunderous energy crashing forward. Its sheer power could gravely injure even a Nine-Rotation Dou Zun at their peak!

This was the Primal Ancestral Thunder!

As the Primal Thunder Dragon unleashed its ferocious attack, the black energy surrounding the giant quickly dissipated, and parts of its body began to appear ghostly and insubstantial.

Despite the Blacklight Sage's considerable strength, he couldn't completely ignore the might of the Primal Ancestral Thunder.

"What a terrifying thunderstorm. I've never heard of the Thunder Clan controlling such power before..." The Blacklight Sage frowned as he watched his giant struggle against the relentless assault of the purple-gold dragon. If it weren't for Mo Yu's mastery of this extraordinary thunderstorm, the black giant would never have been pushed to this point.

"Even though the thunder is strong, with your level of skill, you can't fully utilize its potential. Kid, this is the end for you," said Heihe with a cold gleam in his eyes as he formed a strange seal with his hands. An eerie incantation escaped his lips.

"Roar!"

In response to the Blacklight Sage's incantation, the black giant encircled by the purple-gold dragon suddenly trembled. Waves of dark energy surged from within it, condensing into a bizarre black crystalline armor that enveloped its body, making the giant appear even more formidable, like a thousand-foot-tall war god.

"Let's see how I tear apart your thunder dragon!"

With the Blacklight Sage's command, the giant, now coated in black crystalline armor, violently shook off the thunder dragon wrapped around it. Its powerful hand, brimming with dark energy, then struck the body of the thunder dragon with a force that caused cracks to appear almost instantly.

"Boom!"

As those cracks spread, the entire thunder dragon shattered in a brilliant explosion. The powerful shockwave hit Mo Yu directly, forcing him to cough up blood despite his best efforts to defend himself.

Wiping the blood from his lips, Mo Yu's frown deepened. If it weren't for his Ancient Insect King Armor acting as protection, even the aftermath of that blast could have severely injured him.

"Thunder Clan's kid, if you could reach the semi-saint level, today's battle might have ended differently, but it's too late now," the Blacklight Sage taunted, his eyes fixed on Mo Yu with a mocking smile.

Hearing this, Mo Yu's eyes flickered, and a slight smirk appeared on his face. He whispered softly, "A semi-saint, you say? Who says I can't reach it?"

As he finished speaking, an overwhelming surge of energy burst forth from Mo Yu, like a volcano erupting, catching everyone off guard. The sudden shift was so intense that when the Blacklight Sage felt the change in Mo Yu's aura, his eyes widened in disbelief.

"This... Is this... the aura of a Saint-level powerhouse?"
