Chapter 566: The Nine-Colored Primordial Stone, The Start of the Trading Convention

At the location of the Space Trading Convention.

After Mo Yu and his group stepped through the space portal, they found themselves in an exceptionally bustling small town.

Though the town wasn't large, the sky above was a hazy gray, with faint violent space ripples emitting from it.

"Although this isn't as vast as the dimensions created by the Eight Great Ancient Clans, it's still more than sufficient for a trading site," Mo Yu muttered to himself as he observed the bustling streets.

Being able to create a space solely for trade showed a considerable amount of power. While the space wasn't vast, not just anyone could create something like this.

"Let's go in and see if we can find anything good," Mo Yu smiled and began walking down one of the streets, with Caillin and the others curiously following. Their eyes roamed over the various stalls on either side of the street.

The stalls were filled with all kinds of treasures—scrolls, jade bottles, weapons, magic cores, and more. Faint lights glimmered from these items, signaling their rarity. Behind each stone table sat individuals, each radiating powerful auras, clearly not people to be trifled with.

"Wind God's Leg Technique, high-level Earth class Dou Skill."

"Cloud-Dispelling Palm, high-level Earth class Dou Skill."

"Breaking Array Tyrant Spear, Seven Star weapon."

"Ten-Thousand-Year Cold Crystal Stone."

As Mo Yu's gaze swept over the various items, many rare and precious treasures came into view. Even he couldn't help but feel his heart stir. Caillin, Xiao Yi Xian, and Qing Lin's eyes sparkled with excitement at the sight of so many remarkable items.

The street wasn't long, only a few hundred meters, and as Mo Yu reached the end, he withdrew his gaze somewhat reluctantly. Though many of the items had piqued his interest, most of them weren't truly useful to him, and their prices were exorbitant. So, he gave up on the idea of making any purchases.

However, Caillin and the others found interest in several exquisite small items. And since Mo Yu had boasted earlier that he would pay, they ended up spending quite a bit of money.

Mo Yu didn't mind, though. These three women were his partners, and spending money on them was perfectly natural in his eyes.

Just as he was about to take Caillin and head deeper into the town, she suddenly stopped in her tracks. Mo Yu paused as well, following her gaze.

What had caught her attention was a small, fist-sized stone that shimmered with seven different colors. Its surface had seven clear lines, and a strange energy seemed to emanate from it.

"A seven-colored primordial stone?" Mo Yu raised an eyebrow, recognizing the object and nodding to himself.

The so-called seven-colored primordial stone was a rare, mutated spirit stone closely connected to the Seven-Colored Heaven-Swallowing Python. It was said to form only in places where a Heaven-Swallowing Python had died. When a seven-colored primordial stone absorbs the python's blood, it generates a unique energy, which is highly beneficial to a Seven-Colored Heaven-Swallowing Python. No wonder Caillin had stopped upon seeing it.

Mo Yu stepped forward, glancing at the stall owner—a frail-looking elderly man who sat cross-legged and seemed uninterested in them even standing before his stall.

"Old sir, how much for this seven-colored primordial stone?" Mo Yu asked with a polite smile.

The old man lazily raised his head at Mo Yu's question and slowly replied, "Two Eight-Rank pills with at least a three-color lightning seal."

Hearing this, Mo Yu frowned slightly but soon sensed that this primordial stone was different. He signaled to Qing Zhi with a glance.

Qing Zhi stepped forward, tossing over a jade bottle, while simultaneously grabbing the seven-colored stone.

The frail old man blinked in surprise at how easily the transaction had been completed. He grabbed the jade bottle and inspected its contents, his eyes widening in shock. Two Eight-Rank pills were no small price.

As greed started to creep into his heart, the old man realized he may have asked for too low a price. However, his thoughts were abruptly interrupted when he noticed the cold, piercing gaze of Qing Zhi.

"A Saint-level expert..."

The old man swallowed nervously, realizing that the man accompanying the silver-eyed youth was an extremely powerful Saint-level figure. Even at a gathering like this, where strong fighters were abundant, Saint-level experts were still the most feared and respected.

As Mo Yu and his group walked away with the stone, the old man was left stunned. Something didn't feel right to him.

"Did I misjudge this? That was definitely a seven-colored primordial stone… Why were they so eager?" the old man mumbled to himself, but no one was there to answer his confusion.

After walking a bit further, Mo Yu stopped and tossed the seven-colored stone to Caillin. "Drip some of your blood on it."

"Is there something special about this stone?" Xiao Yi Xian asked, puzzled. Yuanfu might be wealthy, but even they wouldn't casually spend two Eight-Rank pills without good reason.

Caillin smiled faintly, slicing her finger and letting a drop of blood fall onto the stone. As soon as the blood touched the smooth surface, the seventh colored line began to glow, and an eighth slowly emerged.

"This isn't a seven-colored stone," Caillin explained with a smile. "It's an eight-colored primordial stone."

After hearing her explanation, Xiao Yi Xian finally understood. It turned out that above the seven-colored primordial stone, there were even rarer eight-colored and nine-colored stones.

"Let's move on. I'll show you all where the real treasures are. We might even find something unexpected," Mo Yu said with a smile, leading them deeper into the town.

Caillin and the others followed closely behind.

Space Town wasn't large, just a few intersecting ancient streets. However, it was full of powerful people, and every person they passed exuded a strong aura.

As Mo Yu led the way, they passed through several ancient streets, not pausing again to look at the various items. Eventually, they arrived at the end of a street.

At the end of Space Town stood an ancient pavilion, radiating a sense of antiquity.

Outside the pavilion, two gray-robed elders stood like statues. They didn't move, but the aura emanating from them indicated they were both Six-Star Dou Zuns.

Clearly, this place was no ordinary trading event.

"This ancient treasure pavilion isn't open to just anyone. Only those with invitation letters from the three sects can enter. These letters are quite difficult to obtain. Luckily, Uncle Snake had met the sect master of Sky Mystic Gate during his travels, which is how we were able to get one," Mo Yu said, taking out a red jade token with a sigh of appreciation.

As the saying goes, having an elder is like possessing a treasure. Though Yuanfu had risen rapidly, its foundation was still weak. Without Uncle Snake, they wouldn't have had access to Central Plains' elite circles.

After some reflection, Mo Yu flicked his wrist, sending the jade token to one of the elders. The elder caught it smoothly.

"Please, go ahead."

Seeing the red token, the elder's expression softened slightly. He gave a respectful nod and gestured them in. Five black cloaks floated toward Mo Yu's group.

"Most who enter here conceal their identities. After all, it's unwise to flaunt your wealth. These cloaks, crafted by the three sects, can prevent others from probing your identity," the elder explained.

"Very thoughtful," Mo Yu remarked, nodding in approval. He donned the cloak, concealing his entire body. Caillin and the others followed suit.

"Let's go," Mo Yu said with a smile, leading the way into the ancient pavilion. Caillin and the others followed closely.

"Please, come with me," a gray-robed old man said as soon as they stepped inside, guiding them deeper into the dimly lit pavilion.

Without a word, Mo Yu and his group followed him.

After a few minutes of walking, they arrived in front of a large bronze door. The old man then left them.

"This is our destination," Mo Yu muttered, glancing at Qing Zhi.

At Mo Yu's signal, Qing Zhi stepped forward and slowly pushed open the bronze door. A soft light spilled out, and the group stepped inside.

Once their eyes adjusted to the light, they found themselves in a large ancient hall, roughly half the size of a plaza.

The hall contained numerous stone chairs, many of which were already occupied by figures cloaked in black. No one knew each other's identities.

Mo Yu's arrival drew a few glances, but they quickly returned to their own affairs. Of course, private speculations about the newcomers were inevitable.

Ignoring the gazes, Mo Yu led his group to a quiet corner and sat down. They remained silent, waiting for the convention to begin. With so many people present, it was best not to speak too much and risk exposing their identities.

After a while, Mo Yu suddenly sensed something. His eyes flicked toward the bronze door, where several more cloaked figures had entered. He recognized their auras immediately.

"Could it be… Elder Yao and my cousin Xiao Yan?" Mo Yu murmured, surprised. Though their identities were hidden by the cloaks, he could still sense their familiar energies.

As Mo Yu studied them, Elder Yao and Xiao Yan also noticed him. They nodded slightly in acknowledgment, confirming their recognition of him.

Mo Yu returned the nod but refrained from speaking. This wasn't the right time for conversation.

"Boom!"

Just as Xiao Yan's group settled in, a clear, resonant bell rang through the ancient hall.

At the center of the hall, an elderly man with white hair and a beard appeared, his form emerging from the distorted space around him.

"A Nine-Star Dou Zun at the peak," Mo Yu muttered to himself as he sensed the elder's aura.

This old man was on the verge of stepping into the Half-Saint level. One more compression of his Dou Qi, and he would undergo a qualitative change, reaching that prestigious rank.

"This is Baoshan, the master of Treasure Pavilion. He's renowned across Central Plains for his ability to appraise treasures, and his strength has reached the peak of Nine-Star Dou Zun. He's just a step away from becoming a Half-Saint," Mo Yu explained quietly to Caillin, Xiao Yi Xian, and Qing Lin, noticing their curious expressions.

They nodded in understanding but weren't particularly surprised. After all, sitting beside them was a young man capable of defeating a Half-Saint. Compared to that, an old man just barely on the brink of that rank didn't seem so impressive.

"Hehe, another year, another Space Trading Convention. It's good to see everyone again," Baoshan greeted the crowd, his aged voice echoing through the hall.

After a few pleasantries, Baoshan wasted no time. With a wave of his sleeve, the space around him twisted, forming a barrier like a cage.

"Same rules as always, I hope no one minds," he chuckled before stepping onto the auction platform.

"Everyone's here, so let's not waste any more time. Let this year's Space Trading Convention begin!" Baoshan announced.
