Chapter 1 - 1-A new beginning

A/N- I am re-writing everything, most of it was trash other than the Reach stuff and I don't like what I did, this should fix all of that, give feedback so I can know what you want and like to see, enjoy! BTW I WILL BE REPLACING A CANNON SPARTAN, IDGAF IF YOU DON'T LIKE THAT, BUT IT'S WHAT I'M DOING, do look up Spartan-118 though, he did pretty good for himself despite all the crap ONI did and he actually retired, pretty cool dude, but I needed a good number that wasn't John so he's getting completely changed, f off if you don't like it

----------------------------

Michael wasn't sure when he died but he was pretty sure god wasn't supposed to be in a suit of armor.

"Sigh I have no clue how you were this unlucky but I'll deal with it." A very feminine voice sighs as he realizes that god is actually a woman. "I'm not God, but I am A god, don't worry about it." She says as he tries to not look at her body but rather he face.

She smirks at that but remembers she's pressed for time, " I won't waste time with theatrics human, your death wasn't supposed to happen for another 75 years, but a divine war has things messed up right now so I'm doing you a solid and sending you to a new reality."

"Wait what, divine war?" He starts but she stops him, "Don't worry about it, you're better off where ever you're going anyway, what's your favorite video game?" She asks as Michael blurts out "HALO!"

She nods and starts chanting as a ring of light forms around him. Finishing her spell he smiles at him, blinding him with its radiance. "You will be sent into the body of a future Spartan, you won't be the strongest in your new world but I've given you a gift that'll make things easier." She says and he disappears in a beam of light before he can ask anything else.

Seeing him leave she sighs and takes up her spear as she answers the summons of war, eldritch monsters won't wait for sentiment after all.

If he were to rate flying through time and space, he would rate it a -0 out of ten.

He felt like he was on the strongest roller coaster in the world, while also flying a fighter jet and freefalling from orbit at the same time. Despite being dead he felt nauseous and sick as he eyes saw things that he couldn't comprehend, shapes and colors that didn't align with his limited view of reality.

He saw other worlds and realities, even places and things that seemed similar but were twisted. He saw worlds full of demons and swirling foggy gates, superheroes he once though fiction now fighting to save their worlds from a vast army of grotesque monsters.

He even saw the goddess who had helped him locked in combat with other gods fighting beside her, he glanced at what they were fighting but quickly looked away as he felt it look at him.

Glancing back after a few second to see if it was safe, he saw most of the gods dead as the goddess covered in wounds finally beat back whatever it was they were fighting.

Finally after what seemed like forever, he felt the pull of gravity once more as a bright light seared his eyes for a few moments before darkness overtook him.

------------------------

His first few years in his new life were very arduous. Sure babies were cute and loved attention, but being a fully grown man stuffed into a babies body was terrible.

At best he could wiggle around and look around at his surroundings, at worse he had no bladder control to save his life, and his parents didn't speak English which meant he had to learn a whole new language.

Turns out that language was Māori, and his parents had made their home in what used to be New Zealand. The first few years were confusing but he eventually got the language down and sped off from there. Basic math came easy as did reading, but with all this 'genius' came attention.

There was the normal attention the school teachers gave, telling his parents that they had a little genius on their hands, they were happy obviously, but more than once he had seen them shielding him from people in uniform that came knocking.

'ONI spooks' He swore already knowing how they moved as he decided to keep his advanced intellect more hidden since he didn't want ONI dragging him off for who knows what at this point since he didn't really have access to technology at this age, but he would eventually.

Time passed and eventually he was six years old. Though he was able to hide his intellect at first, eventually he outshone most children his age drawing admiration and worry from his parents, and envy from other children.

Today he found himself doing some random puzzle when a older kid marched over to him. "Gimme your money!" The kid demanded as he looked up frowning, "No go get your own." He said while getting ready for a fight, this wasn't the first time he'd been pressed like this so he knew the dance by now.

Unsurprisingly the kid punched him in the face and so he responded in kind by attacking the kid. Watching this surprisingly bloody scuffle, Dr. Halsey turned to her 'handler' Lieutenant Jacob Keyes. "See how he reacted with no hesitation, this is a shadow of the split-second decision making my Spartans, see how he easily overpowers the other child despite the age gap."

She prattled on about various things Keyes didn't understand but by now he was used to it, after the first child, John, he had been with the Doctor to several other worlds scouting out children that she had decided were worth being one of her Spartans.

But where she saw statistics and data, he saw two kids beating each other, deciding enough was enough he stepped in to stop the fight as the older kid went running. "Thanks mister, but I had him." The boy said as he wiped the blood from his nose.

Keyes sighed as he stared down at the child who would be 'drafted' into Halsey's program. "I'm sure you did kid, but you can't pick fights with everyone." He said as the kid just shrugged, not really taking things serious.

Seeing Keyes had started talking to the boy Halsey also walked over, seeing her Shawn felt like digging a hole and hiding, the crazy Doctor herself had arrived. (A/N-Not gonna change his name, just everything else.)

Halsey and Keyes talked with him for a little bit but soon left since Shawn's parents had come looking for him since it was lunch time and he was glad for an excuse to get away from Halsey, he knew she wanted the best for him, in her own way, but her wanting the best for him would end up with him fighting aliens for decades.

Watching the boy leave Halsey reaffirmed her belief that he would be one of the first to take the evolutionary step into humanities future. First John, and now Shawn, both had shown that previous data was incorrect and that they exceeded every aspect that she was searching for, amongst all of the children of humanity, these two would be the spearhead that would save humanity from any threat, be it alien or themselves.
