Chapter 116 - Izumi Miyamura: Xover - Chapter 114

Author's Notes: Chapter edited and corrected by Scott Fellman.

Just as I expected, All Might ultimately decided not to make a fuss after Midoriya told him everything that had happened over the phone. So we continued on our shopping trip, despite half of the people who knew what had happened being incredibly tense throughout the entire trip.

Once we returned to UA, All Might's detective friend was obviously waiting for us, along with Aizawa and the principal, and we were subjected to an interrogation. Or well, not an interrogation as such, it was just Midoriya and I recounting exactly what happened. It had already gotten dark by the time we finished.

And just as expected, the next day, Aizawa changed the school trip plans to a new, unknown destination. After that, the weeks passed easily, and before we knew it, the first semester finally came to an end without much fanfare.

"-and make sure you don't lose sight of Izumi. We don't want him to get lost," Taylor said to Ruby as we prepared to board the plane.

"I'm terribly offended," I said tersely. Taylor ignored me.

"Use the wrist leash Izumi has so you don't separate," Taylor added in Ruby's direction.

"So little faith in me?" Ruby asked, almost indignant.

"Are you saying you won't run from exhibit to exhibit if there are interesting weapons or tools?" Azula asked playfully from the side. Ruby blushed slightly and looked away.

"...I'd drag Izumi down with me." Ruby muttered with a pout.

"Just... use the wrist leash and stay close to Izumi," Taylor said, massaging her temple. "They're on an island. I don't think it'll be a problem, but I really don't want him to go anywhere unauthorized because he might get lost somehow."

"Okay, we should go now. If it makes you feel better, I'll make sure to stay close to Ruby's aura, or follow her immediately if I get far enough away." I said tiredly as I grabbed my backpack. Taylor just sighed and nodded. "Stop being so dramatic. We'll only be alone for half a day. You two should arrive by nightfall," I said dryly.

"That means more than 12 hours without supervision," Taylor replied. I rolled my eyes.

"Don't worry. And even if I get lost, it's an island, I won't leave it," I said with a grimace.

"Unless you somehow find your way to dry land," Azula added with a mocking smile.

"You're not helping." I complained, and Azula shrugged.

"I never said you would do it," she said simply. I shook my head, but laughed lightly.

"All right, Ruby, let's go before Taylor decides to step into my shadow and trespass on I-Island." I said mockingly, Taylor froze as she considered this. I rolled my eyes in amusement, but turned around and pushed Ruby away.

"Yay! I-Island, here we come!" Ruby chirped before wrapping her arm around mine and starting to drag me to our respective ride. UA didn't have a private jet, or they did, but it was a waste to use it solely on us. But that doesn't mean they spared any expense on us.

I-Island travel was too restricted and heavily regulated, at least before the public opening, and UA got us first-class flights. I noticed out of the corner of my eye that there were also some UA juniors on our flight, and I even saw Power Loader board.

I guess that would explain why we weren't traveling on a private plane. Once we boarded the plane, we settled into our seats. The seats were quite comfortable and elegant.

And curiously, we had more privacy than I thought, a two-person compartment that could be closed so no one could interrupt.

It was my first time flying in this world, but not in general. And just like my old world, takeoff took as long as it should, making it just as dull as I remembered. I guess that was a constant in all the worlds.

Once we were finally in the air and the sign to remove the seatbelts came on, I looked at Ruby.

"So... you want to join the Mile High Club?" I asked with a huge smile. Ruby froze in place as she unbuckled her belt. After a few seconds, she looked at me with a shy smile.

"Well… Taylor said I should stick close to you," Ruby said with a goofy grin. I snorted, but I pulled Ruby along. Yeah, this was a great way to pass the time on a two-hour flight.

----------

I ignored the stares I was receiving from the flight attendants, the other passengers, the other students, Power Loader, and everyone else. I had a satisfied smile on my face as Ruby got off, slightly out of breath. Completely flushed and embarrassed.

"They heard us," Ruby murmured almost urgently. I snorted.

"Of course they did," I said casually, not bothering to lower my voice. Too late to pretend I had decorum.

"I blame you for this," Ruby said with a pout. I raised an eyebrow at her.

"You weren't complaining when you took that picture and decided to send it to the others, bragging that you're now part of an exclusive club and they're not," I said playfully. Ruby blushed.

"It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! I couldn't pass up the chance to rub it in their faces!" Ruby said, almost offended. I snorted.

"I'm sure the-" I pulled up my scroll and saw the number of notifications in the shared chat where Ruby sent the images. "-87 messages say otherwise." I said amusedly. Ruby snorted and pulled up her own scroll, and started looking through the messages.

"Let's see... death, death, mutilation, death, wow, you girls are getting really creative. Taylor hopes my pussy rots, and Azula hopes the plane explodes and one of the plane's many metals impales my crotch." Ruby said amusedly, her eyes sparkling. "Yeah, it was totally worth it," she said with a cocky smirk as she saved the scroll.

I burst out laughing.

Once we finally calmed down and formed into the endless line that was I-Island, we began to move forward. We were both dressed in our hero costumes, because apparently, since we were representing UA, we had a status to uphold. Although I'm sure all the passengers on our plane would say otherwise.

Apparently, weapons were allowed. But well, I mean, there were Quirks that were way more destructive than weapons, so it would be kind of stupid to ban weapons. So Crescent Rose was on Ruby's hip as usual, while I only had Wado Ichimonji on mine.

Better not use a cursed sword on I-Island.

It took us a long time again until our identities were finally verified and we were allowed onto the island.

"This is amazing." Ruby murmured in wonder once we entered I-island itself and finally got to see the inside.

"It is." I said, my eyes shining. It really was a science and quirk paradise. It was simply incredible how much you could see with the naked eye. Everywhere you looked, there was something truly spectacular to see. The movie really didn't do it justice. There was so much to see.

"Oh my goddess. Who is she?!" Ruby squealed excitedly as she pointed to the side. I turned around, and my eyes widened slightly before I snorted in amusement.

"The monster heroine, Godzilla," I said playfully. And honestly, I hadn't remembered her appearance in the film. She only had a few seconds of screen time, but I remembered her. And it was very different seeing her on screen than seeing a 40-meter-tall kaiju in a white coat and pants in person.

"Do you think she'll let us take a picture with her?!" Ruby asked as she bounced. I shook my head in amusement.

"Why don't we go and ask?" I said simply. I really wasn't against taking a picture with a kaiju. Ruby practically ran in the direction the giant monster was moving away in while dragging me by wrist leash. It really had been necessary. Taylor was right, I guess it was best if I kept that a secret.

Conclusion. Godzilla did let us take pictures with her. In fact, she was so helpful and fun that she let us take a picture with Ruby inside her mouth, acting like she was about to be eaten alive. Ruby was having a blast in the jaws of a kaiju. I have to say, I was surprised by how accommodating Godzilla was.

What a nice Kaiju.

"Come on! We have to see everything!" Ruby said excitedly as she clung to my arm. I laughed lightly, but easily kept up with her. We bounced from exhibit to exhibit until we finally reached a place where explosions were heard.

"Wait, aren't those the guys?" Ruby asked excitedly as she pointed to the center of the arena. We had arrived at the 'Villain Attack' game, the timed competition to defeat robotic villains. In the center stood Bakugou as he began to twist his wrists.

My eyes widened slightly. Had Bakugou somehow arrived? I remember her hanging out with Midoriya at the same time as me, but I thought she'd say goodbye to her before Midoriya came to the island with All Might. Maybe… Bakugou came with them? Does that mean she knows about his connection to All Might? I honestly shouldn't be surprised.

I looked over the stands and quickly spotted Midoriya and his group. Just as I expected, Yaoyorozu, Jirou, Uraraka, and the only one who could be Melissa Shield were by their side. And speaking of the explosive Pomeranian.

"Awesome! Only 15 seconds! That's first place!" the presenter exclaimed in surprise as Bakugou finished destroying the robots. Bakugou ignored the applause and began to walk away before jumping with the help of her explosions and landing next to Midoriya, who quickly congratulated her.

"Let's say hello!" Ruby said quickly as she dragged me along once again. "Hi!" Ruby greeted cheerfully.

"Rose? Miyamura?!" Midoriya was surprised to see us. I raised an eyebrow at him. We lived in a dorm, and it was impossible not to notice when one of us left with suitcases. We even left at the same time. And Ruby definitely didn't stay silent about coming with me to I-island, I'm sure everyone in the dorm already knew.

"More friends?" Melissa asked with a smile.

"Y-yeah! They're classmates too!" Midoriya said nervously. I could see Bakugou and Uraraka narrow their eyes at the two of them. I snorted in amusement. Bakugou seemed to hear me and glared at me.

"You!" Bakugou growled as she walked towards me. "Hurry up and give it your damn go, you bastard!" she growled.

"Calm, Kacchan, we still don't know if they came for the attraction." Midoriya said timidly as he tried to calm her down.

"I want to try it!" Ruby said happily.

"This is crazy!! 14 seconds!! This young lady has jumped to the top!" We all turned to see Todoroki standing in front of the frozen ground. She sighed.

"Ice and fire bastard!!" Bakugou growled angrily.

"Oi! You can't freeze sand! I was going to give it a try!" Ruby said dejectedly.

"Ah… sorry." Todoroki said passively.

"Don't ignore me!" Bakugou growled. "You can't just come and overshadow me out of nowhere!"

"Hmm? The rest of them are here too?" Todoroki said distractedly as she looked at us. I could see Bakugou's eye starting to twitch. While Midoriya tried to calm Bakugou down, Todoroki unfroze the sand with a wave of fire. Finally, Ruby was able to get down to the sand excited, but before that, she took off the wrist leash, looked at it for a few seconds, and then placed it on the railing.

"Really?" I asked as dryly as the Sahara. Ruby smiled at me shyly.

"Don't move," Ruby said, embarrassed, before jumping into the sand.

"Any problem, dog?" Bakugou asked with a cocky smile. I snorted.

"I don't exactly want to hear it from you, explosive Pomeranian." I snorted. Bakugo's eye twitched immediately.

"What did you call me, bastard!" Bakugou shouted angrily as explosions erupted from her hand.

"Oh goddess, you're right, she does look like a Pomeranian!" Uraraka squealed in wonder.

"Aawww, you're my Pomeranian." Midoriya cooed as he pushed her with his hips. Bakugou blushed.

"Don't ever call me that again, dammit!" Bakugou yelled at Midoriya. We all laughed at her, making Bakugou growl.

"Hey, Rose is about to start." Jiro interrupted, and we all turned towards the arena.

"Ready," the announcer shouted. Ruby unfurled Crescent Rose and got into position. My eyebrow raised slightly at Ruby's muscles already twitching as she prepared herself. "-Out!"

First Form: Thunderclap and Flash - Eightfold. Ruby immediately shot out, turning into a red blur, leaving a trail of petals behind her and instantly decapitating the first robot. Ruby instantly bounced off and accelerated even further towards the next target.

Ruby's speed increased with each successive Thunderclap and Flash she made. The petals of the beginning barely touched the ground when Ruby finished decapitating the last robot and twirled in the air with a broad smile on her face.

"Oo-eight seconds! Incredible, gentlemen! That was extremely fast! I could barely keep track of her with my eyes!" the presenter exclaimed, completely stunned.

"Wow! Your group is awesome," Melissa said excitedly.

"As expected of a speed-type quirk," Jiro whistled, impressed. Ruby used her quirk to appear next to us in a flurry of petals.

"Damn! How dare you try to outdo me!" Bakugou growled. Ruby tilted her head in confusion.

"It was pretty easy." Ruby said with a smile. I could see the exact moment where that statement hurt Bakugou, and I smiled slightly. Ruby simply ignored Bakugou's growl and put the wrist leash back on. I was about to mock Bakugou when I looked up, someone was falling, no, landing.

Boom! Everyone was startled by the sudden landing, luckily it hadn't generated so much dust that it wasn't visible who had landed.

"Penny!" Ruby exclaimed happily.

"Welcome to I-Island, dear classmates! Welcome!" Penny exclaimed happily as she stretched both arms upward. Suddenly, a hologram appeared above Penny that said 'Welcome!' and then a fanfare sounded from Penny and virtual confetti shot out.

I put my hand in my sleeve and pulled out a paddle with a number 9. Ruby also put her hands in my sleeve and easily understood what she wanted. She pulled out two paddles with the number 10.

"That was amazing!" Ruby said happily as she shook her paddles. Penny's eyes sparkled with excitement. She bowed elegantly.

"Thank you! Thank you!" Penny thanked cheerfully.

"Where did the paddles come from?" Midoriya asked, confused. I snorted as I returned the paddles to my sleeve and then absorbed them into my shadows. Was this something I'd planned with Ruby? For this situation? Definitely not, but she knew about the paddles in my shadows, and a lot of other things to troll people with.

If I were going to have near-infinite storage, I'd definitely use it to annoy people. But I wasn't stupid enough to just have prank items. There was also a wealth of resources and rescue tools. Ropes, ladders, fire extinguishers, and much more.

I looked at Penny and focused on the conversation once again.
