"Penny! It's amazing to see you here! How did you get here?" Ruby asked excitedly. After the initial greetings and introductions, we parted ways with Midoriya's group.
"My dad is Dr. Pietro Polendina," Penny said proudly, as if that explained everything. And to her credit, yes, that does explain everything. "Were you invited, my friend Ruby?" Penny asked curiously. Ruby nodded.
"Well, Izumi was invited as the winner of the school festival. He could bring a companion, so here I am! " Ruby said happily.
"That's good. Congratulations, Miyamura!" Penny congratulated me. I nodded in her direction. "Need a guide? I'm available and ready to plan a satisfying tour! " Penny said with a smile.
"Are you familiar with I-Island?" I asked curiously. Penny nodded.
"Yeah, Dad and I live in Atlas for most of the year, but there are some weeks or months where we stay on I-Island because of some of Dad's research. I also stayed back a lot during my childhood because of my quirk, Robot. I had to be monitored almost constantly." Penny said easily.
"Oh, that sounds like a lot." Ruby said, Penny looked at her and tilted her head in confusion.
"Why? It was something essential. My quirk makes me completely robotic inside. I'm lucky that Dad was my dad, but even with his knowledge, I still needed the help of some facilities that are only found on I-Island." Penny said honestly.
"So they didn't experiment on you?" Ruby asked, almost worried. I snorted while Penny looked even more confused.
"No. Why would they?" Penny asked, confused. I shook my head.
"Don't worry, Ruby watches too many trashy movies," I said amusedly. Ruby puffed out her cheeks. "That aside. If it's not a bother, we'll take you up on your offer to serve as our guide," I added. Penny's eyes sparkled slightly.
"Understood, comrade Miyamura! I'll plan the route as soon as possible." Great to be able to attend all the exhibitions! " Penny said, completely determined, clenching her fists in determination. I snorted in amusement.
"No need, we'll just see what catches our eye," I said playfully. Penny looked confused.
"But… wouldn't that be counterproductive?" Penny asked. I shrugged.
"Maybe, but that's the fun of it. Besides, it's not like we're looking for anything specific or understand most of the things that happen here, so… we'll just watch what catches our eye." I said simply.
"Understood?" Penny said uncertainly.
"I want to go to the gun shows!" Ruby said excitedly.
"Ah… then we should head to the pavilion! All the cutting-edge support equipment and weapons for heroes and pro hunters are on display there!" Penny exclaimed, much more confident now that she had a goal to guide us towards. I chuckled and shook my head. I looked around and saw Midoriya's group.
It seemed like Melissa was going to act as the guide for that group, and we were practically being ignored, but that was okay; it was good to be among the three of us.
"Come on! Dad has an exhibition at the pavilion! I want to introduce him to my friends! " Penny chirped, Ruby's eyes widened slightly.
"Your father?!" Ruby asked in surprise. Penny nodded with a huge smile.
"Yes! Let's go! " Penny exclaimed happily as she started marching in a specific direction. We quickly found the pavilion Penny was referring to, and once inside, I had to admit it was quite a sight. It looked like a beautiful blue museum with cutting-edge technology.
"Dad!" Penny exclaimed as she quickened her pace. We looked in Penny's direction and saw Penny's father, Pietro Polendina. Just like in the canon, he was in a walking mechanical chair. Apparently, he had a huge section to himself.
"Penny, darling," Pietro said softly.
"Dad! I want you to meet my friends. This is Ruby Rose, and this is Izumi Miyamura," Penny said proudly. "Friends! This is my father, Pietro Polendina," Penny said as she introduced us.
"Ah, Miss Rose, Penny's been talking about you a lot lately. It's a pleasure to meet you. She mentioned you too, Mr. Miyamura," Pietro said, his eyes twinkling. "Thank you for being friends with me, Penny."
"Nice to meet you, sir! And no need to thank us, Penny is fantastic! " Ruby said excitedly.
"Greetings, Dr. Polendina. I see you're busy." I said simply, Pietro just laughed.
"Not really, I don't even have to be present for the exhibition, but some people insisted that I come anyway," Pietro dismissed.
"Oh? Anything interesting? " I asked simply. Pietro shrugged while smiling.
"This time they're mechanical prosthetics," Pietro said as he moved, revealing what looked like several mechanical limbs. There were legs, arms, and even mechanical eyes.
"Oh goddess! They have bionic eyes! Do you think I'll be able to shoot lasers if you replace some of mine with them? " Ruby asked excitedly. Pietro laughed lightly.
"I'm sorry to disappoint you, Miss Rose, but none of them have built-in lasers," Pietro said playfully, making Ruby pout. "But if you ever lose one of your eyes, I'll make sure to put one on your prosthetic," Pietro said playfully, winking at her.
"Excellent!" Ruby said while smiling.
"But let's get the boring stuff out of the way. Penny's been telling me a lot about her time at UA, and I wanted to know if it was all as hectic as she makes it seem." Pietro said, his eyes twinkling.
"I'm sure you do. But I want something in return." I said with a smile. Pietro raised an eyebrow. "Honestly, I'm really curious to know what Penny looked like as a child. Do you have any pictures?" I asked mischievously. Pietro's smile grew wider as Penny froze.
"No! Dad! My friends aren't allowed to see those pictures!" Penny interrupted in a panic. If she'd been able to blush, I'm sure she would be.
"We want to see them!" Ruby exclaimed excitedly. After some back-and-forth, we finally got to see some images that Penny approved. The result? Penny was adorable as a little girl. And Ruby and I let her know it.
I didn't know she could blow smoke out of her ears when she got too embarrassed. Cute(KAWAII).
We continued talking with Pietro and exchanging stories about Penny for about half an hour.
"Well, although I'd like to continue chatting with you, it's best if you continue on your way if you want to see the rest of the exhibition," Pietro said jovially.
"Yes! We have more to see! " Penny said sharply as she tried to push us away from her father. I could hear Pietro's laughter as we walked away.
"Goodbye, Mr. Polendina!" Ruby greeted with a shout. Penny pouted as we followed her.
We then began exploring the other exhibits inside the pavilion, until I saw a somewhat familiar flash of blue and pink.
"Wait, isn't that Jinx?" I asked, confused, as she pointed at one of the stalls. Ruby and Penny immediately turned around and looked where she was pointing.
"Yes! It's Jinx!" Ruby exclaimed excitedly. "Jinx!!" Ruby shouted loudly as she waved her hand. Jinx's attention was drawn to us, and she had a completely bored and lazy expression until she finally noticed us. Her eyes widened slightly, and relief seemed to spread across her face.
Without hesitation, she jumped onto the desk and approached us.
"Thank you, goddess, I was dying of boredom." Jinx moaned, I snorted amusedly.
"Hi, Jinx, it's nice to see you." I said playfully.
"Greetings, classmate Kiramman!" Penny greeted cheerfully.
"Hey, Jinx!" Ruby greeted playfully. Jinx rolled her eyes.
" Yes, yes, yes, hello." Jinx said reluctantly, but a small smile threatened to grow on her face.
"I didn't know you were going to be part of an exhibit!" Ruby said excitedly. Jinx snorted and crossed her arms.
"I wouldn't be. I didn't want to be. And if it weren't for my sister blackmailing me, I wouldn't." Jinx grunted reluctantly.
"Sounds like a great story." I said amusedly. Jinx snorted.
"There's not much to tell. Some acquaintances are having an exhibition. One of their assistants got sick, and they didn't want any strangers touching their stuff. I'd been working with them for a while, so my sister decided it would be a great idea to mention it last night," Jinx complained. I laughed lightly.
"Acquaintances, and you seem to be on good terms? I didn't know you had those." I said amusedly. Ruby and Penny laughed lightly while Jinx snorted and punched me in the shoulder.
"Even if you don't want to believe it, I am someone famous and quite well-liked," Jinx said haughtily.
"Rather infamous, some would say." Said a person behind Jinx. Jinx immediately grimaced. She turned around. The three of us looked at her. My eyes widened slightly. Dark blue hair, blue eyes, top hat, and attire that would look best at a steampunk fair. We were standing in front of Caitlyn Kiramman.
"Ugh ! Did you have to come? " Jinx asked in disgust.
"I see you met up with your friends," Caitlyn said with a small smile, unfazed by Jinx's distaste. "Aren't you going to introduce us? " Caitlyn asked. Jinx rolled her eyes.
"If I must. Guys, this is Hatlady, Hatlady, these are the guys." Jinx said easily as we were introduced. I snorted in amusement.
"Jinx." Caitlyn admonished disapprovingly. Jinx rolled her eyes.
"Fiinee, guys, this is Lady Hatlady. The sheriff cupcake of Piltover, heiress to the richest, most piltie house you'll ever meet. And somehow, my sister-in-law." Jinx amended. The three of us laughed lightly as Caitlyn blushed slightly. She cleared her throat and stepped forward.
"I'm Caitlyn Kiramman, Sheriff of Piltover. I'm the wife of Vi, Jinx's sister. It's a pleasure to meet Jinx's friends." Caitlyn introduced herself properly with a smile, and Jinx snorted.
"Isn't that what I just said?" Jinx said mockingly.
"Hi! I'm Ruby Rose! Jinx's friend! We build weapons together!" Ruby introduced herself happily.
"Greetings! I'm Penny Polendina, classmate! " Penny introduced herself with the same energy as Ruby.
"And I'm Izumi Miyamura, I'm-"
"He's my boyfriend!" Jinx interrupted as she clung to my arm.
"And I'm her boyfriend." I said without even hesitating, barely blinking at the statement. Was I her boyfriend? No. Did he know what was going on? Not at all. Was this a way to mess with people and cause chaos? Definitely, and I would take advantage of it.
I looked at Ruby, who looked confused, and winked slightly. Ruby understood perfectly and laughed lightly. Penny looked confused and was about to speak when Ruby pulled her away and began whispering in her ear.
"B-boyfriend? I didn't know you had a boyfriend." Caitlyn stammered, her eyes wide in surprise. Jinx snorted.
"No offense, Cupcake, but it's not something I'd talk to you about," Jinx said flatly. Caitlyn looked slightly hurt, something Jinx noticed and grimaced. "Not even with Vi, with any of you, would you tell her right away-"
"Powder." Once again, someone approached. For the second time, my eyes widened slightly. Ekko. In all his dark skin and white hair. I could feel Jinx bristle at the sound of his voice, but her face barely showed a reaction.
"-Ekko." Jinx hissed as she clung closer to me. "What do you want, Little Man? Don't you have to go to your post with Heimer? " Jinx asked, sounding bored. The tension was so thick I was confident I could stuff her inside my shadows and she'd count as a heavy object. Yeah, I got where this was going. And I certainly wasn't going to waste an opportunity to piss someone off.
"Jinx, darling, didn't you say we were going to spend some quality time in your chambers once we met up?" I asked Jinx huskily, my voice thick with lust as I kissed the corner of Jinx's lip. Jinx looked slightly surprised before smiling widely.
"Don't worry, baby. Let me finish this, and then we'll go have some fun." Jinx purred with the same amount of lust as her eyes turned slightly dark. I smiled widely at her, and we stared at each other for a few seconds before a cough interrupted us.
"I... I didn't know you had a partner." Ekko interrupted awkwardly. Jinx finally stopped staring at me and raised a bored eyebrow in his direction.
"Are you saying you're stalking me from the other side of the world? How pathetic, little Man thing?" Jinx said dryly. Ekko grimaced more.
" Pow-""Jinx" "… can we talk?" Ekko almost begged as he ignored the correction. Jinx hugged me tighter.
"I'm busy, and even if I weren't, talking to you would be the last thing I wanted to do," Jinx said mockingly.
"I... fine, but you don't have to pretend you have a boyfriend." Ekko said with a grimace, and Jinx looked at him indignantly.
"Are you saying I'm lying?!" Jinx exclaimed angrily. Ekko didn't back down, just raised his chin.
"I know you, you wouldn't go out with someone who looks like him," Ekko said, looking me up and down. I raised an eyebrow at that.
"Ekko." Caitlyn tried to interrupt firmly, apparently even for her, that was too much.
"Someone like him? What's wrong with Izumi?! I'll tell you, he's way better than you in every way, even in bed." Jinx growled in her direction. Ekko snorted.
"I already told you, I know you. You wouldn't date someone who dresses so modestly and neatly as to wear traditional clothing from their country like a prince, with soft skin and not a single mark on their body, with an aura as weak as his," Ekko said dismissively. My eyebrow raised in amusement.
I could hear Ruby and Penny snort. That was really surprising; I didn't know Penny could snort. Jinx gritted her teeth as if she were ready to punch Ekko in the face.
"Ekko!" Caitlyn exclaimed as she tried to calm him down, one of her hands grabbing his arm to try to pull him away.
"Watch your words, Ekko." Jinx hissed angrily. "Izumi is ten times the man you are," Jinx said. Ekko just raised an eyebrow.
"With that skinny body? Yeah, sure." Ekko said dismissively. I raised an eyebrow at that. I didn't know that even in my disguise, my build was easily discernible. "And even if you were with him, I'm sure he's just a distraction for you. Look, he even has a leash. Are you afraid your toy might get lost?" Ekko asked mockingly, eyeing the wrist leash.
"Hey! Izumi has a brain problem, he has Developmental Topographical Disorientation! He's unable to navigate his surroundings due to cognitive impairment! This is so he doesn't get lost! You're just an idiot! " Ruby exclaimed, pointing her finger at Ekko. Everyone remained in deathly silence.
I snorted in amusement. Ruby definitely said that much more dramatically than she intended. And my brain is magnificent, thank you very much.
"Wow, I know you're an idiot, but insulting someone with a genuine brain problem is a new low for you. I'm shocked," Jinx said coldly. Ekko flinched slightly, almost looking embarrassed, but it didn't seem like he was about to back down.
"Also, weak? He won the UA festival and beat All Might in a training exercise." Jinx said as she took a step forward. Ekko took a step back. I mean, well, that's technically true. But we just ran away. It wasn't like I was going to correct her.
"And bored? I'll have you know, he's beyond wild in bed." Jinx growled as she finished... my scroll? My eyes widened slightly as I patted my pocket where it should be. It was the only thing I didn't keep inside my shadow. The signal didn't reach in there, and if it did, I'd never hear it ring.
I had to admit, Jinx was good at stealing.
Jinx opened the scroll bar and, without hesitation, opened the photo gallery and opened one. The first one was a picture of me and Ruby having sex in the cockpit of the plane. We were both half-naked and smiling at the camera.
She finally opened the folder with the sexual images. And I didn't stop her; I just smiled; this was really entertaining. The next image was of me half-naked and wet, fresh out of the shower with only a towel around my waist. That left my entire torso bare and wet. All my muscles and tribal birthmarks were visible.
The next one is of me sitting lazily, scantily clad, with a very naked Darkness licking my foot with long whip bruises all over her body.
"P-put that away already!" Caitlyn squealed, almost scandalized. Ekko looked nearly sick while Jinx had a triumphant smile on her face.
"Sure? My photos with him were coming soon," Jinx bluffed with a smile.
"Y-you can't just show that in public! He's a boy! This is wrong! " Caitlyn scolded, completely blushing. Jinx ignored her and looked at Ekko mockingly.
"And if that's not enough," Jinx said with a smirk before facing me. I could see a flash of apology in her eyes for a split second, but she didn't even hesitate as she placed her hand on the back of my neck and pulled me into a kiss.
I smiled slightly against Jinx's lips before carefully returning it. I slipped my tongue into Jinx's mouth, and she used hers to fight for dominance. Neither of us seemed to be giving up anytime soon.
It was only when Ekko gritted his teeth, clicked his tongue, and turned around dramatically before walking quickly, practically running, that we separated.
Author's Notes: I didn't mean to make Ekko such a jerk, sorry! He always came across like that while I was writing! There's going to be a flashback to all of this later! Maybe when I'm done with I-island!
Author's Notes 2: First of all! I have an announcement to make! Not next week, next next week, I'll be on vacation from my full-time job. That week, while I won't be busy, I won't have access to my computer to write comfortably, so I'll be taking a short break for a week! Sorry!
