Chen Ke embraced Wang Ailin as they slid down a slippery tunnel, like being wrapped inside intestines, swallowed by something.
With a slick sound, he and Wang Ailin tumbled into a large blood pool, and in a panic, he got up. The blood pool wasn't deeper than waist-level, but it was filled with various internal organs and severed intestines.
Chen Ke shook off the jumbled organs and intestines clinging to his body, then pulled up Wang Ailin as well. Now both were covered in blood from head to toe, with only their eyes appearing white.
Looking around, the surroundings suddenly lost all sense of logic.
It seemed to be a meat processing plant, with mottled walls all around and dim lights hanging from the ceiling.
A large funnel was pouring chunks of meat into the pool; hopefully, they were not human limbs. And up ahead, a yellow iron door was marked with a bloodied handprint.
