Chen Ke pushed open the door at the end of the hallway, revealing an even longer corridor, yet the environment and atmosphere were markedly different. The walls on both sides of the gray-toned corridor were equipped with side lights near the floor, making the environment somewhat dark, relying solely on the faint light underfoot to barely see the path.
"Wow, this is the containment facility beneath the institute..." Wang Ailin recognized it immediately, having worked there for several years.
Chen Ke glanced back; the door had disappeared, and they stood in the middle of the corridor.
If they didn't find a way to break the cycle, given Chen Ke's experiences, they would eventually succumb to a replay of some memory.
