Chapter 139 - 131: Hakuto, Who Hasn't Fought in a Long Time

"You... what are you doing?"

"Didn't your mother teach you the most basic manners?"

"Is the sports club out of people? Do you really need an outsider to help?"

"What does that have to do with you?"

"Yotsuba is busy this weekend, and she will be in the future too. So stop looking for her, understand?"

Seeing Hakuto's aggressive stance, the girl in sportswear instinctively took a step back.

"And who are you to Yotsuba? Do you get to decide for her?"

Hearing that, Hakuto sighed. "You should be glad that I've mellowed out recently."

After all, back in the day, even if he saw a ghost, he'd charge in with two pipes and go berserk.

Though, it wasn't really a ghost.

But compared to his past self, who would throw hands at the slightest provocation, Hakuto really did feel like he had calmed down.

Still, he wanted to hear Yotsuba's opinion, so he tilted his head slightly and asked,

"Yotsuba! Do I get to decide?"

"Yes! I'll do whatever you say, Shiratori-sensei!" Hearing her name called, Yotsuba nearly dropped the cream cake in her hands.

Hearing Yotsuba's response, the girl furrowed her brows slightly.

"What is this? Are you just bullying me because you can?"

"How am I bullying you?"

"You're a guy, and I'm a girl. Isn't that already an abuse of power?"

"Oh, I see! You want a fair samurai duel with me!"

Hakuto had his own set of principles when dealing with people who spouted nonsense.

At this moment, the other members of the sports club noticed the commotion and started gathering around.

"What's going on? Is someone here to cause trouble in our sports club?"

"We haven't even finished moving the equipment yet..."

The sports club was a large organization with quite a few members. Right now, there were at least six people surrounding Hakuto, four of whom were guys.

The girl in sportswear quietly explained the situation to the others.

Hakuto wasn't sure if she exaggerated the story, but judging by the expressions around him, she probably did.

"Yotsuba, I think this is just a misunderstanding. We still need you for the competition this weekend."

The guy leading the group showed no emotion after hearing the explanation. Instead, he tried to keep Yotsuba on their side.

But Yotsuba simply stood behind Hakuto, glanced at the guy who spoke, and said nothing.

Seeing this, Hakuto smiled. He already understood Yotsuba's stance, so there was no need to linger.

"Alright, everyone, I made myself clear—stop bothering—"

Before he could finish, a guy interrupted him.

"And who do you think you are? If we don't get results this weekend, will you take responsibility?"

Hakuto, now interrupted again, didn't respond. He simply sighed helplessly.

How had his hard-earned reputation disappeared in just half a month?

Oh well, if it's gone, he'll just earn it back!

"Are all the members of the sports club dead? Do you really need an outsider to get results for you?"

"What did you say?"

"I said, screw you!"

The moment Hakuto finished speaking, the surrounding guys started cracking their knuckles, and the one who interrupted him earlier immediately threw a punch.

But in the next second, that same guy was sent flying in a bizarre posture and crashed to the ground.

That single hit seemed to signal the start of a fight, and the rest exchanged glances before charging at Hakuto together.

"Shiratori-sensei, Shiratori-sensei! There are so many of them!"

Ignoring Yotsuba's rambling, Hakuto simply waved his hand nonchalantly.

"Hold my cream cake."

Before anyone could react, Hakuto swiftly kicked each person in the neck, and in no time, all six were on the ground, groaning in pain.

Hakuto didn't go easy on the two girls among them. Since they had surrounded him and blocked his way, they had already made up their minds to fight.

"If you're this weak, don't bother picking fights..."

Even Hakuto himself hadn't expected to take them all down so easily.

Of course, he had controlled his strength. Kicking someone's neck too hard could actually kill them.

Then, he pulled the elastic band from his wrist, tied up his hair, and squatted in front of the guy who had spoken earlier.

"Don't bother Yotsuba again. Understand?"

The guy's pupils dilated in shock as he stared at Hakuto's face.

"You're Shiratori Hakuto?!"

"Is my face that hard to recognize?" Hakuto sighed.

"No wonder you had the guts to talk like that. You didn't even know who I was from the start."

The guy's face turned red with embarrassment.

"Next time... please tie your hair up..."

And with that, the guy passed out cold.

"He fainted just like that? So weak?"

Hakuto checked his condition and confirmed it was just a normal fainting spell before relaxing.

"Ahh! Shiratori-sensei, will they be okay?"

"They're fine... I just haven't fought in a while, so I misjudged my strength."

As expected, the environment at Hoshino Academy was making him soft.

Hakuto looked at Yotsuba behind him, grabbed the rabbit-ear-shaped headband she wore, and dragged her away from the scene.

"From now on, if this happens again, just say my name, got it?!"

"Yes, yes, I got it! Shiratori-sensei, can you let go now?"

Thinking about all the trouble, Hakuto got even more annoyed.

Just returning to school for an event, and he was already caught in a fight—at such a critical moment too.

He was definitely going to get scolded again!

Not that he cared, but this kind of thing wasn't even in his job description!

Thinking about that, Hakuto couldn't help but grab Yotsuba's cheeks and stretch them.

"Ughhh! What a pain! Yotsuba! If you don't get first place next time, just you wait!"

"Owww! It hurts!"

"Go home and copy yesterday's wrong answers a hundred times!"

"No way Shiratori-sensei!! A hundred times is too much! I'll die!"
